I love hair, when I was in high school we did the musical hair and it was in 1989 which at the time was extremely controversial for a high school to be performing this. I had the role of Claude & 32 yrs later I still have my book with my script & the original poster we used. This show has such great music & it was a blast to Do.
I’m jealous! Most of Hair is outta my mediocre vocal range, but I would do a humble community theater production in a heartbeat now (with zero shame about my age & singing). The town I grew up in did a HS production when I was in 5th grade, they just didn’t sing Sodomy & kinda hummed the melody instead.
I was 13 or 14 when I heard this. I played the Broadway soundtrack constantly. This was my favorite song. I fantasized what it would be like to trip. I never dropped acid tho. Thank you for the wonderful post.
