The best solar company in Australia just installed my new solar system.
Check them out here:
www.resinc.com.au/electricviking
I use a similar system in a farm building - Bluetti AC200MAX plus two additional batteries for 8 kwh total. From that I pump water, charge my electric riding mower for mowing trails, power lights, tools and a bit of heating for cooler times. If I have excess energy I can level-1 charge my Chevy Bolt. Like you, I keep finding new uses for it. All charged from solar panels. Thanks for all your videos, Sam!
Sam, great video as always! I have the original Delta Pro with an extra battery (7.2 kWh total). I use it to power an 8000 BTU window unit AC at night in my master bedroom. It is recharged during the day with 3 400 W solar panels in my backyard. This allows me to keep my central AC unit set at 80 degree (F) all the time. I can handle this during the day but cannot sleep at this temperature. The window unit quickly cools my bedroom to 72 degrees. I shut the doors and put a towel under them to create my bedroom microenvironment. The AC runs from 10pm to 6am (8 hours). It alternates between cooling and fan. It consumes an average of 3.6 kWh during the 8 hours. I love it!
I have the delta pro, and recently, we had power out for 7-8 hours 5 times in 6 weeks. What a game changer to just go plug house into battery and go about your life.
Holy moly...been living my current place for 11.5 years and never had the power go out haha
@@ronaldov09 Same!, all underground cables in my area.
Congrats on your Delta Pro 3! I have the original Delta Pro that I use to power my shop. I have 4 320 Renogy solar panels mounted on the roof. My plan is to add two more panels and two extra batteries over the summer.
Ecoflow is an excellent company with great quality products.
I have an Ecoflow delta 2 and is really useful.
5 stars
I recently purchased an Allpowers 2400w, 1480wh portable power station for $950. It has been a fantastic unit and I have used it for many things. It comes with a 5 year warranty which is great for something that gets lugged around a lot
One feature that are really like is that it has a large round caravan socket. This means that I can take a single lead from the caravan, plug it into the battery, and run everything in my caravan powered by this battery.
The battery will power my 30 litre portable fridge freezer for three days. I have had four electrical items running off of this battery at the same time. It can be recharged in just over an hour. It is heavy but the weight is not excessive.
This battery is perfect for my needs as it recharges a whole range of items including my phone, portable bluetooth speakers, my vacuum cleaner, power tools and more.
I have a small Jakari unit, which was one of the first popular ones in the UK; then I bought an Anker (LiFePO4). I used these to just power my gas combi boiler in an outage - each ran it for about 4 hours.
Since then I had a solar system installed with the Tesla PowerWall3 which is fully integrated into the house - excellent piece of kit
Solar PV/battery independence is the way forward everywhere. Here we can get good overnight tariffs so that you can charge your battery at night in the winter when solar is limited in daytime.
I have been thinking about the PowerWall3 as well. Do you currently have any device or protection for your solar panels and battery from an EMP event?
@@marcrapanault3129 I have 11 panels, PW3 and Gateway so that I can run in ‘island mode’ during an outage. In winter I charge to full on cheap rate at night - about a third the cost of day rate. I export daytime surplus at a good rate.
I have the Delta pro already and one battery backup. I was able to connect them and run the refrigerator for 2 days with any problem. I had power left over starting at 85% running down to 30%. I was recycling it. because if you don't use it often you need to do this. I charged it backup to 60 using solar panels and going into the apt and setting it to charge to 60%. I'm looking to get a Delta Pro 3 in the future because I can hook so many more solar panels to it. I use this for hurricane blackout in southern Florida. I used it this past year and I was able to run a lot of items until the power came back on
I am really impressed with the whole system, they can be hooked to the house as well and they have a rather exspensive solar tracking as well. 🙂
Sorry about the hair, I've just done a triathlon. 😂 I think you've clinched the award for best humble brag of 2025. Unless you are unseated by sorry about the hair, I've just rescued 50 children from a burning orphanage. Appreciate your videos, keep them coming!
Nowadays if you are installing solar you should include batteries at the same time. Doing so means that you do not have outages. A solar installation like that is called a Solar UPS it always top up the batteries so you have power in the morning and evening when the panels are producing little or nothing.
I think Portable Power Stations are the future.
The future is here.
if battery density gets to 10kw at this size then it will be incredible and awesome for backup "gas tank" duty
I have a similar arrangement that lasts much longer.... BYD Atto 3 vehicle to load. Easy to move around. Has its own wheels😂
I think you made the right decision because I have a Delta pro three also and I absolutely love it. I have the two units with a 50 amp hub so I have 240 V that hooks up to a generator plug to my house for emergency back up so what’s nice about that is I have over 8000 W Output to my 220 panel but I love it. I think you’ll absolutely love it for sure.
i have a EcoFlow Delta 2 Max , i got on sale a few years back, very helpful, I sleep in my van alot when traveling and i use this at work on construction sites when we dont have power. powered my air compressor when i got a flat tire ,i keep it charged with solar panels on my van. mine can run a small refrigerator for about 35ish hours
Yes you made the right decision well done and thanks for the information
Use solar power to recharge the delta in emergencies. Ecoflow also does an amazing dual fuel (petrol or propane) generator which "talks" to your delta.
You determine the battery SOC level and the Genny automatically fires up recharges it and stops when recharged.
Really well thought out and an amazing bit of kit for us living off grid in Spain in winter 😉
2hrs North of Stockton, I'm guessing Diamond Beach or Old Bar. If you go from the M1 east along Old Bar rd turn north along Saltwater Rd follow that to the end, epic break on the north side of the head land! Check it out when you're up that way. Good wave for the boys!
I worked on Disclaimer as part of the Playback Department - on Apple TV. One of the locations was in Venice, we were on barges and Gondolas.
We'd be sailing through the canals for hours without docking. It can power Mac Studio, and a couple of 22 inch reference monitors, charge batteries all day
Solid kit
Surprising that you didn't have the Batteries installed with the Solar.... We love our Powerwall...!
Very good but Powerwalls are expensive and there are other options (stay away from LG though).
Huawei has them. Much better value proposition and always excellent quality
Hi Sam,
I’m a big fan of the channel. I’ve been watching for about a year now. I live in the State of Connecticut, USA, on the East Coast. My wife and I had solar panels installed last July and are more than pleased with this decision. Our house is just over 1200 SF well below the 2500 SF of the average American house. Our average monthly electric bill went from over $100 to $20 which is actually our town owned electric company’s user fee for tying into the grid. I think the ECO FLOW is a good bridge solution until you get a battery in the 10-13 KWH range. They are expensive though. In the US a Tesla Power Wall 3 goes for about $25,000.
I have some questions for you and your channel members:
1) If you are going to get a full house battery which one would you get?
2) What are your thoughts or plans for EMP protection?
TIA
Great video 👍 more like that please!
Living upside down in the UK, we have the inverse problem 😁
How to use less electrics during the DAY!!!
Living in an 1878 brick house with an old roof and old neighbours, there's no way I can install solar here...
I thought about buying something like this to charge at night when electricity is cheaper, and use it during the day for the fridges, electronic and computers.
Problem is it is still too expensive 😟, but going forward I'll install something similar in a kitchen cupboard and be off grid between 7am and 1am and charge it between 1 & 7 am.
Just need to make sure it can be 100% full in 7 hours 🙏
Now it is the perfect power station on a campsite... 😁 I've visited Australia 🥰, and seen so many guys driving around in big 4x4 and all the gear, great cooking & power station, bang in the middle of beautiful nowhere, incredibly tempting 😍🤩🤩🤩🤩. Would really love to spend 6 months on the road, just like that, in Queensland 🙏
Hope your wife gets better 🙏🙏🙏🙏. Love your videos mate!
Just install a powerwall. Cheaper as it includes install costs at around $14000. You wont have to worry about whats connected as it intergrates seemlessly. The software does everything for you and connect up to Amber and get a better FIT. You will make money however no one knows how long this will last as I have noticed over the 5 years that no matter who you connect to they change there pricing all the time. So far the longest I have stayed with a energy retailer has been with Amber and I am currently with them. I hope they continue the way they are and I now prefer the dynamic market to the tariff based market especially as I have a Tesla Battery to overcome any high cost periods. All works seemlessly and once set up it is set and forget.
Looks great but with batteries now at around $100 per kWh the price seems excessive.
I agree.
An EG4 14K battery is about the same amount of money. Then buy an E G4 hybrid inverter. If you bought the 18 KPV with the 14K battery, you would be at the same amount of money with immensely more versatility if it was about saving money there are other inverters from EG for that would fit the bill.
Also, I don’t believe the Delta flow allows for pass-through charging. If you’re using it in a house application, I believe pass through charging is important.
A $100 per KW would be cheap for a battery.
During a recent storm in Ireland I connected my EcoFlow River 2 into the 12v socket in my Leaf with the included cable. I then ran an extension lead from the EcoFlow battery to power the broadband router and laptop in my house. It can both charge and discharge at the same time but had to keep an eye on the car as the 12v power will cut out after a while even with the car turned on. I will be looking to upgrade to a larger EcoFlow battery to power larger home appliances like the fridge.
We need vehicle to home stat!
When are you getting the attachment for vehicle for to load for your Xpeng G6.
When is the Xpeng M03 arriving in Australia and will it have vehicle to load.
Good to see variety of topics in your reporting
I recently got an EcoFlow 3 and it won’t charge my Tesla. Something about consistent sine. I’ll keep trying. Congratulations on yours. They are great.
To run an RV or charge an EV, you have to add a neutral ground plug. I paid $5.99 for mine at the local RV dealership.
You need a Neutral Ground Bonding plug.
Tesla Model Y Juniper has two battery capacity options: 4.63 PowerWalls ( 62.5 kWh) for the rear-wheel drive (RWD) model and 5.8 PoweWalls (78.4 kWh) for the long range all-wheel drive (AWD) model.
Also
Juniper is a 5-6 mobile Powerwall. More than enough to power medium sized home for 2 days.. A house, apartment, or condo Juniper will power that any residence for 2-3 days AND with Net Metering of buy low sell high energy a Juniper becomes profitable a daily money maker.
Juniper Battery you use it or lose it EV battery makes a Juniper more profitable. e net metering
Regularly driving your Jumiper and avoiding long periods of inactivity is better for battery health as leaving it unused can lead to a degradation in battery capacity. That is why Net Metering improves you Junipers life.
During peek power use by customers your grid power company must turn on more gas or coal power plants. With the use of your Juniper mobile powerwalls by the grid power companies they do not need to start up expensive additional power plants so grid power companies pay for the use of your Jupiner powerwalls during peek power demands.
Thus even if you do not drive your Juniper you get money from the power companies.
Criminal Act
Juniper V2H V2G is a must. Tesla must be by law to allow V2H V2G
I did not think that then new Juniper model Y has bi-directional charging. Can you confirm that it does?
Check out Delta pro Ultra which I have but it can be buggy. Like all ecoflow products
I use Maxs because ai can carry them. I also use Lifepro4 batteries as extra batteries for my 4 Ecoflow battery stations. The alternator charger and solar chargers are great too.
Looking for something to put in our new HiAce commuter this morning and this shows up....looks bloody amazing mate! Looked super heavy though and brick like which doesn't suit a van build....your thoughts?
These be good batteries. I have these ones and the bigger Delta Pro Ultras and they hook up to the whole home and can take about 5 kw of solar input for each inverter/battery. I run my house during the day with the DPU an the Solar panels, at night I run the entire home off just the DPU batteries. I have up to 90 kw of battery storage and can run off grid.
My older Ecoflow Delta 2 hasn't had any functional issues but a limitation I found out it does have is that i doesn't have quick enough switch-over to protect my server from crashing during brownouts or blackouts. This is not only an inconvenience but in theory could damage my hardware or software. I had an old UPS laying around with crappy battery that I attached to the Ecoflow as a workaround but kept this in mind for any future power station purchases. So when I recently bought a Delta pro plus 3 it was specifically because Ecoflow claims it has fast enough switch-over to be safely used as a UPS. So far so good but I've only had it for a month so can't provide a reliable assessment .
Well, thats a clear advert some of you paid to watch!
LoL 🤣🤣
I enjoyed your "real life" at home video. Something alittle different than your other videos....
Glad you enjoyed it, I try to keep things interesting!
A young man named Will Prowse made a You Tube video showing how to build a 48 volt battery backup system that could be mounted on a dolly and rolled around to where it was needed. I made one for myself and purchased 2.5kw solar panels to charge it. I can't run the house, but it provides plenty of power during power outages to serve my needs.
Need the link here!!! 🤩

@340wbymag
Thanks a lot!!! 👍🤝
I know this channel, but didn't watch this vid.
Thanks mate!
You could use your car battery
I have two ecoflow deltas for power outages , other companies make good products as well
Hi Sam. Agree the battery is a good idea but you really need to get yourself proper battery storage with all that solar you have. I only have half of what you have and currently have 11.5 kw of BYD storage which I’ll later increase to approximately 17kw with 2 more units which are simply added on (6 in total). They are fantastic. Blackouts a thing of the past, zero electricity bills for a fully electric house. Will purchase an electric car later this year to be complete 😊. Maybe the G6 👌🏻
as long as your inverter can handle the extra, they are a great idea, just add more modules.
Over the holidays added to a couple of small, 256wh and 600wh batteries with a Pecron 3600w 9kwh battery system (expandable to 15kwh). Pecron is the best bang for bucks system available. Holiday sale got it for $3500 (US), including 300w portable solar, (much less expensible than Ecoflo). Connected it to my home power system via a 30amp, 10 circuit transfer switch. I have all the necessary power outlets in my home connected so I can transfer to the battery as needed. Although I have 6.03 kw rooftop grid tied solar during an outage it is of no use without the proper upgrades. For charging solar would not be optimal much of the year thus I have a 4800w portable propane generator/inverter (simulator to what Ecoflo offers without the automatic function, for much less). If you do tie your system into your house for your other needs suggest you research Pecron e3600, 3600w, 3072wh expandable to 15kwh.
Isn’t better to have a v2l ev instead?
Sam, the construction techniques used on your house are quite interesting, compared to our stick-built houses in the USA !
it is a pretty old house built in the 1960's things may be different now.
I have a Powerwall, I didn't realise we had a 8 hour blackout, till I was messaged by the energy retailer, here in South Australia,if you have more than 8 hours blackout in a year they give you 100$, so I get paid for blackouts, I drive a Phev 80%electric so not being able to charge is no problem
Holy smoke, $5,000.00 is a serious investment for backup system when you can investment that amount into a home battery system such as powerwall.
It's versatility is its greatest asset. But if you just wanted to charge from solar during the day to use at night, it would be cheaper to get the Ecoflow power ocean battery which is 5.1 KWh but costs about £1500. The big drawback is that you would need the Ecoflow inverter as well as the inverter sits on top of the battery.
Thanks for the video. Can it power up an air conditioner in a caravan?
Yes
16:08 Anyone know what car is that? Looks sweet as
Have 2 of the large ones that hook up to my house + the new generator that connects to them they communicate and it kicks on automatically when the battery gets low and once charged kicks off until needed plus it runs on gas or propane-2 batteries hook together in a junction an are connected to a twist lock plug that connects to my house
I got a used ecoflow mini at a pawn shop for $200 which is very cheap considering what it goes for used. It tells you on the display calculating based on the current draw, how long it will last. I would think the other units will do the same if you look at them so you would know how long they will last right on the display.
I have a smaller version - works ok but there is high vampire drain to keep the AC outlet live due to keeping the inverter running, which was disappointing. Use the app to keep the AC outlet off until you need it.
Sungrow or byd batteries are good options as they are lfp. Im looking the sungrow inverter hybrid for a solar system but can only put up to a 10kw solar system
Range extended ❤
Bluetti battery backup is very good too.
It´s a fascinating and useful, multipurpose gadget. It´s one of the few things only slightly more expensive in Europe at A$5,476.34 just for the gadget, without any panels. If blackouts are becoming a regular occurence it does offer an incredible convenience. It´s heavy and it´s "just" 4 kWh, it could run dry in 2-3 hours at night easily, it comes without panels - and A$1,119 per 1 kWh sounds barbaric, very highly inflated. I need excatly this same thing, same size, same price and 14 kWh - now than we would be talking and have a serious and highly usable backup and power storing solution.
For portable usage the EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 is OK - may be perfect, but here in Germany, I will (sooner or later buy the Anker Solix X1...
I keep optimistic that Teslas (in Europe) sooner or later be able to give "jumpstart" for a few kilometers each other.
Sounds good but it’s expensive power at over $1,000/kwh. Comparing that to an MG4 excite 51 which I just bought (after watching your video recommending them as a good buy with the $10,000 discount, thanks I’m very happy with it, especially as I got mine for $29,000 with only 2,000 km on the clock). At full price the MG was $41,000 for 51 kWh. To buy 4 of the ecoflow with the 2 extra batteries at $12,799 is $51,196 for 49.2 kWh. And you can’t drive the ecoflow. MG4 has V2L and I believe that it will soon have V2X. So even if the blackout was so long that you were going to run out of juice you could drive the MG4 to a charging station before it runs out and recharge it before the fridge warmed up. Apart from the upfront cost it would be more economical to buy the MG4 even if you never drove it anywhere. So I have joined a Facebook group, MG4 owners Australia, and some are already experimenting with using their MG4 as a home battery. I don’t know how they are overcoming the limited output though. I also saw a post of someone that went camping in their MG4 and used the V2L to power their fridge and still had enough to get home. So am I missing something here? BTW I don’t think this is a bad product.
Just bought the DP3 today with an extra battery to top up my X5 50e 😂.
Sounds like you got a taste of the future with Chris Bowen as Energy Minister 😢
I have one of these, with the extra battery. You need to be your size to lift this! It's not exactly light. Had to smile watching even someone your size struggle. Mine stays in the basement.
If you have roof top solar, all of these units fail on not being able to take the typical hundreds of volts the panels are wired with. So you can not connect the roof top panels directly. Best case is you charge it from the power socket when you are generating solar. Kind of works. Alternatively you put up some lower voltage panels or possibly rewire a small set of the roof panels and run new wires to the Delta unit.
I actually quite like this unit. However, if you have an EV, do you not have the ability to run your home overnight from the car battery? It's like 20x the capacity of that battery and you should be able to charge it mostly in a single day with the solar array you have on that roof in summer.
When introduce by OLD MAN SANDY MUNRO ITS GOOD AS GOLD
Who ?
We have a little Bluetti 1000w unit which has bailed us out several times plus we use it at the Caravan for charging our tech and TV's, even the toaster !. Just wish we had bought a 3000w one now. Couldn't use it the last time the power went out as it was in the garage and to door is electric !!
doh!
I have V2L in my Kia Niro and usually have at least 20kWh in the battery. Can deliver 3.6kW so easily enough to power the fridge & 3 freezers in the garage. We have 15kWh home batteries but do not have a gateway so cannot use this storage during power cut. I am looking at buying one of these instead of buying a 4th 5kWh home battery which could be used in the house during power cuts. UK power security is a bit fragile at the moment so this sort of back up could be very useful
Hi how can I get one of the. Delta pro3
Since they are so heavy, they’re not fun to move around for example, if you want to take it with you in your car or electric vehicle and then back into the house every day, it’s not ideal.
An engineer would have simply cut around the bottom of the box 😉
The extra power to haul it seems like it’d cancel any benefits
They do charge quickly FROM MAINS POWER but they charge rather slowly from 12VDC sources, whether that is solar or battery.
Which also means you must buy their expansion units, rather than adding an external battery.
Apparently that's a design choice that can't be fixed, unless you use an external battery and invertor to charge the Ecoflow with ersatz mains power.
I have a petrol (gas) powered generator that cost $450.00 and uses 1 litre per hour of operation providing 3000 Watts constant load for emergency.
It weighs far less than these units and is very quiet and take up about the same space.
This generator is weather proof and can operate faultlessly in an emergency situation for 9 Hours continuously. In that 9 hours it uses about $15.00 petrol and can be refilled in a few minutes. If need be, run continuously for days on end.
$5K is a lot of money and you won't charge it fully with portable solar panels or blankets. You would need to charge it up use that every day to recoup your investment and that would take nearly 10 years to do so.
For camping you would be far better off with using a 112 Ah 12 volt system and solar blanket and LED camp lights and an inverter if you needed power to charge a laptop. that system would cost you less than $500.00 all up.
The Devil is in the details so I'm wondering how many recharges do you get before you need to change out the batteries packs when they start to ware out? Also the coast of the replacements and is easy to do your self or do you need to send it to the factory..?
It’s rated for FOUR THOUSAND charge cycles you’d have to drain to zero and recharge to 100% everyday for over a DECADE to have that drop of 20%, but it doesn’t mean it stops working you’d still have at least 3200 of the 4000 capacity and that’s assuming you thrash it everyday for a decade plus!
How many KM does it add to your car?
Why did power go out when you have solar panels??
Why did your power go out??
I'm glad you're reviewing electric storage tech as many of us don't know what's out there, or why we need it.
Para a minha caravana em viagem eu tinha um gerador a gasolina com duas saidas para as emergencias ou numa paragem para refeicoes e nunca utilizava a bateria do carro....foi excelente....
You can use cheaper LiFePO4 batteries to supplement the amount of storage without buying their add-on battery pack. Higher voltage would recharge at a quicker rate too. Would need a connector to the solar input and of course a charger for the battery. Solar panels would be a great way to recharge during the day.
An EV with V2L would be the perfect solution for extended outages though.
So your solar cannot charge your car directly!? Or supply the house when off grid? Or they all go back to grid ?
Turn south along Saltwater Rd,whoops 😊
how do you prevent sending electricity out to the grid ?
By law you cannot connect external power source into grid. For that you have kill switch on main circuit which separates your home from public network. Actual working solution is V2G or V2H which has smart functions to limit the power output
@@jkajolin yes exactly. so what does the electric viking do to about this ? did I miss something in the video?
Where u located?😮
These batteries are cool but with 4000 cycles at $5k it means really you’re paying 31c per kw stored and used. I have the 1200 watt storage/1800 watt output which is perfect for what I need, I would buy one for all other purposes you listed except for saving money. If you wanted to extend your battery storage I would suggest getting other 12v batteries and hook them up with the solar port, you could keep them charged from your house PowerPoints or wifi power boards like grid connect so you can set it on a schedule to turn on and charge during your solar hours and then it will discharge into your ecoflow. Cheers mate
I just want to double down on this and if you had 4 X watt cycle 12v 300ah batteries in series for under $3k, let’s say the ecoflow and watt cycles cost a combined $8k for 4000 cycles you’d get 73.6MW which would be a power cost of just under 11c/kw, considering the ecoflow has the built in solar port although limited, I’d argue this is a cost effective way to go off grid, if you add in their switch board to plug it directly into your whole house, by the time you get it installed say $3k, so $11k in total your power cost would be 15c/kw which is decent especially when you factor in what future prices will be
I need to do more research
Time to get some real home batteries with backup coverage
If I added solar to my house, I'd want to have solar panels, solar heating/ electric heating/ electric air conditioning and at least a 100 kWh battery so I could fast charge my EV. I'd expect the monthly electricity bill to be no more than $100.
There are some downsides. I think it doesn't automatically restart after a power surge
How’s your power going down if your solar is so amazing?
The sun doesn’t shine at night.
@@JohnSmith-x3y8h has it been night for 2 days?
Probably grid tied, so no grid = no solar.
Need a hybrid inverter and batteries to keep supply running when grid is down, or a separate set of cheap solar panels for the ecoflow for emergencies.
@@ciaranclose192 He specifically states the grid had failed.
Troll alert or someone that doesn’t listen to what is actually said in the video assuming they even bothered to watch more than 5 seconds 😂
How many full charges before the battery degrades to 80%?
Did you watch the video? Not only does he say what the old model was rated for but that the new model has about 20% more charge cycles before hitting 80%
I reckon the Anker PowerHouse / Solix range is alot better, cheaper and has higher density. Better value for money.
Love your videos but I have to say it’s about the most expensive way to get battery power, unless Ecoflow sends you a free one. You can get a rack mounted lifepo4 battery for $799 in the US. That is the cheapest one but you can get several different options at $1000. Now you have to get an inverter for $400 to $600 dollars and easily build a diy setup for much cheaper. That’s a 5k battery with 3k charging for only $1200!! You could spend an extra $25 to add some plugs in a box to do everything the Ecoflow does minus the electronic indicators. But there are a plethora of options to improve the setup for a little more money. And you add more batteries to it easily. So for $2500 you can easily get a 10k setup or for the price of the Ecoflow you could get 3 batteries and a very good and well known inverter here in the US and have a 15k solution. Please don’t waste your money on a well packaged consumer product when for an hours work you can get almost 4 times the storage. Hell being so close to China you should be able to get batteries much cheaper than we can. Maybe even 20k for the $3200 US the Ecoflow cost. Oh and I wasn’t even considering bigger non rack mounted batteries because they are cheaper still. Ecoflow are a fine product but very expensive for the amount of storage!!
I wonder if the insurance company would pay out if this burns down the house.
Why can't you use your car as a battery to store energy from your solar panels?
All this solar. Why was the power out for 2 days.
Maybe because of all this wind?
In my opinion an EV with v2l is more useful. It should be mandatory this standard for all the EVs.
can you charge the battery with your EV? This thing weighs 51 kg. you have to be a weightlifter to put it in your car. I read somewhere about a system that connects your electric car to your home electric system. I have hyundai ioniq that has v to l and will transfer through the v2l. do you have this capability of your ev? this is the stuff of the future-charge the ev during the day and the ev feeds you at night.
But I thought you had solar panels how did you not have power with solar panels?
You need battery backup to keep the power on solar only will not give you power backup.
I have to disagree, the product is good but for one floor, when the lithium battery fails you have to throw the whole unit away, if they made them with the ability to replace the battery then yes it is a good product.
A 4 kWh battery only lasts 4 hrs running something drawing 1000 watts. Not all night. 4 kWh is also tiny compared to an EV battery that is 40-100 kWh. I bought a 1.3 kWh LFP battery and silent 3 kW inverter for home backup power for less than $700 USD. A 3.9 kWh system with 2 additional batteries would cost $1000 USD. A fraction of this product.
what lame commercial, what happened to limitless solar?
