I was going to do this, then decided to google the going rate for my cutlery. 1936 Wallace Sterling.
Yea, I’m not melting these down. A weird position to find myself in, able to eat with a fork worth more than my car, yet unwilling to do so, because.... well..... they’re worth more than my car.

Thank you for an interesting video. Quite a difference on scarp prices and worth the effort on shopping around! Have you considered a video on explaining how you got your knowledge and experience of Antiques?

Now there's an idea! I started collecting and dealing in rare 1960's vinyl records and became hooked on antiques and collectables as a result of that.

Thank you for sharing that. I find it interesting on how people become involved in Collectables and Antiques. Appreciate that you share your knowledge through these videos.

Hi. Very interesting to hear your rationale. Can you let us know what percentage of scrap price that you will receive when you sell for 330 pounds? I've done a little research, and so far, I've seen that a refinery will pay 90% of scrap.

Hi. Yes, 90% is about the best in the current market. The refiner I mention is in the Birmingham Jewellery quarter and offer 93% of spot, but you need to factor in the mileage or registered postage. The local dealer I used in this instance paid me approx. 85%.
