The 59/0s have their head and tail lights vertically and 59 1s and 2s have theirs horizontally like the 66s
I love Class 59003! I like that GBRF livery on that.
1:16 SURPRISE
Surprise indeed! Lol
I wish more were made
59s go yang, 66s go ying, shed + shed = peace!
Good catch!
Thanks :) was really great to see such a rare sight a friend of a friend of mine is a GBRF driver so I had a bit of tip off looks like she's going to be on the run on a regular basis :)
Nice video! By the way, am I right in saying that 59003 is the only Class 59 with a light at the top?
Thanks Thomas :) You are definitely right :) I haven't noticed any others with a light on the top :)

Correct; it was exported to Germany in the late 1990s where lighting regulations at the time dictated the addition of the high level marker light.

The EMD's are the best
Class 59 Similar to Class 66
Yes they are; the last batch of 59’s were built in Ontario like the first batch of 66’s. Similar power equipment, and body shell.
Another difference between the two is that the Class 59 uses EMD's 645E3 engine, while the Class 66 uses the more modern 710G3B.
@@TrainsAreReallyCool Class 59s is powerful than Class 66s
@@cameronirvine37703 Yeah they where testing at Germany after that, after it has been exported back to England.
It has different pitch sounds but different horn sounds.
