Seiko's love is selfless and I think that's the main reason why a lot of people like her.. Also one of the reason's why I think Naomi realizes late that she loves Seiko more than friends also is she don't want to live anymore. As far as I know Naomi likes Satoshi but after during the incident she realizes she loves Seiko that she don't want to live anymore since she's gone.
Hey, that's my headcanon too. Naomi realizes too late that she loves Seiko and that's why she ends up treating Satoshi like just a friend at the very end. And probably why she was a little obsessed after surviving the Heavenly Host. (Also why she says "I love you!" when she's fighting the Darkening.)
Just let's consider this. You killed your best friend, without even knowing it. And then you realized what have you done. You would go mad. You would lose the power to live due to guilt. Naomi could have easily killed herself a couple of times during Blood Covered, but she didn't do that (the hanging in chapter 4 doesn't count, she was darkened). She wanted to leave Heavenly Host. But when it turns out what she had done, then it's a whole different ballgame. How could she live her life onwards when she thinks that she is the reason why Seiko died? Of course, she loves her, but not in that way. She's one of the few people that Naomi considers as her family.

Naomi wants to keep their friendship intact but knowing Seiko's goals and feelings for her, which Naomi can't return, it can make an awkward relation between them.
I feel bad for seiko. yeah she helped her friends escape but she is still stuck ther experiecing the pain for eternity. Thats the bit that always gets to me in that scene

Especially with what happens with Naomi she is forced to see a doctor because she's being told Seiko isn't real and when she's talking by herself there's no one there. Naomi really loved Seiko I mean you can tell she loved her more then just a friend and for her to be thought of as going insane by her mother it's sad that her mother can't see the truth because Seiko died in Heavenly Host and because of it no one even remembers Seiko due to this Naomi's mother really can't see how much she is suffering unable to do her job as a parent which is even more sad seeing as she can't even help her own daughter. Naomi and Seiko are my favorite characters overall. I wish both of them made it out of that hell alive. Also just gonna put this here I call "Heavenly Host" "Hellish Lost" Hellish being the key word for what kind of place it was and Lost for what had transpired and all the losses if you think about it the name "Hellish Lost" fit's after the end of the game least that's my opinion.

I know this is like years late but Blood Drive confirms the time loops by having Ayumi had an item from Hysteric Party that she doesn't remember ever obtaining. Basically all the visions of events, areas and such that they kept having are actually time loops they experienced while trying to escape Heavenly Host during Blood Covered and Book of Shadows. The dream would indeed be one of those time loops, which is why Seiko is dying from a stab wound (likely caused by the girl that tried to stab Satoshi in Blood Covered). In Book of Shadows we see Seiko get decapitated by a piano wire trap instead.
Seiko loved her, and Naomi certainly felt more than mere friendship judging by how she literally breaks after the events of Blood Covered. By the time Blood Drive happens she's going insane by the fear of forgetting Seiko and she entirely ignored Satoshi in Book of Shadows, going instead to Ayumi for help in possibly saving Seiko. And in Dead Patient we know Satoshi's whereabouts as he's visiting his mother in the hospital when it happens, but we are told nothing of Naomi which is kind of telling.
This is the most emotinoal, heartbreaking, saddest, happiest and beautiful ending EVER!!! It's so sad yet i feel happy inside, i'm crying but yet i have a smile on my face. This ending shows true friendship and i love that, i don't like horror games that much but i just got to love this one. Seiko, your a friend that i would never let go of.

I admit that the first time I heard about Corpse Party it was because of their anime and I was one of the people who hated Naomi because of Seiko's death, but I finally started the game until I finished it and I ended up understanding that Naomi was not guilty of killing Seiko since she was possessed after all. Unlike the anime, the game managed to capture Naomi's suffering so well that it made me put myself in her place, and even this ending almost makes me cry, which is weird for me because I don't normally get so sentimental when I play videogames or I see some series ;_; Seiko is without a doubt my favorite character, she is the kind of friend you would like to have, and without a doubt, the game managed to make me love the friendship between Naomi and Seiko.

I'm playing through the first one (actually Blood Covered/Repeated Fear) on the 3DS. I was mentally bracing myself seeing Seiko hanging over the toilet and it still got me. I think the ending of the game will end up breaking me.

Seiko had a heart of gold. She always wanted what was best for Naomi, even when Naomi couldn't return her feelings. She just wanted Naomi to be happy, no matter what. That's actually a really good character quality to have. If someone doesn't return your feelings, just let it go. Despite Seiko having the attitude of a pervert (still love it though lol), she still respected Naomi. She loved her, but at the same time, wanted her to be happy. I guess this is the true meaning of the quote "If you something, let it go. It will eventually return back to you." She was sweet, silly, pretty, kind, considerate, funny etc. And that's why I love her. R.I.P. Seiko Shinohara. You will be missed. ♡
Thankfully, even though she can't be revived -- (SPOILERS AHEAD) ...Seiko's memory and the others killed in HH are restored by the end of Blood Drive. So at least they aren't wiped out of existence anymore.
