I'm German and the grammar is so illogical sometimes, most Germans don't even get it. So I can speak two other languages, English and French, but I really can't speak French, it's fucking complicated, while English is pretty easy to learn
I appreciate it and actually wish more people did that! I wish those off-Hollywood productions got more recognition and were more available. It's fascinating how the culture we were raised in affects us, yet we manage to find the common ground and relate to the characters. Sometimes knowing the background story of creating a character/actor's views on things can change the way we perceive the movie.
