  • Judy Holdstock shows how to do a transvaginal duplex ultrasound, which we use at The Whiteley Clinic as part of diagnosing some cases of varicose veins in the pelvis and also haemorroids.

    Just had it done wasnt to bad but just sucks i have to wait till oct 15th for the doctor to go over it with me

    I would also like to know what do the red and blue colours mean?

      Hi Isabel, thank you for that question and I should have explained. The ultrasound shows solid organs and fluid as grey and black shadows. Any flowing blood is shown using the "colour flow Doppler" as blue going one way or red going the other. Therefore blue and red shows blood flow. Best wishes
