Let us not guess the situation which we do not know. Rumors always have 1000 wings and fly faster.
Let us wish her to recover her energy and get into matches as early as possible.

ER has soooo much potential to be #1, I hope that happens with her decision to change coaches.

Way he was talking to her during games looks poor to me, that is the case very often and i think it's just lack of communication thing hard to call that abuse, maybe he did something more during trainings we can only speculate, it's just dissapointing to see that she continued working with him for such a long time when bunch of other coaches were available

I never knew if her weird attitude at press conferences was her being arrogant or due to stress.

Since Rome 2024 (Madrid 2024, her press conferences were good), she seems to struggle to find words as if the slightest effort was too much. Hope, she's ok

She's not arrogant at all... she may not want to speak much because of stress or other issues...
However, re: her illnesses it looks like it's a mixture of physical and mental. Both mental burnout from her relationship with Stefano Vukov, the back injury she talked about and other physical issues and also the immune or auto-immune disorder she mentioned. It's a complex mix of all that.
She could have a long rest and come back refreshed. Now it's going to take a while to get back to the top.

@@qsfrankfurt9513 Yes I think stress is a big part of it. (Psychosymatic symptoms) because if you’re in a relationship with a coach - boundaries can be crossed.

I have been a fan of Elena for a long time and ever since I saw her coach, she didn't give me confidence and I don't know why she put up with him and besides, she went everywhere with her sister, nor did she realize the constant abuse she did to him. I hope that she gets over it soon and that those around her help her to help her with this. From Chile, all my support so that she can move forward and be the best again, strength, a lot of strength.

Aww , she does not deserve that. I was a huge fan huge huge fan of her. But saw how much her physical endurance declined. She was being run badly by a coach that is just honestly not a right fit for her. His style was basically to talk down to her , IMO That type of coaching style when she is in key moments of a match is more geared towards beginner players that are trying to be challenged. But in this case she just basically got challenged and degreated emotionally at times when she needs more emotionally positive coaching. She is a huge star that is being talked down to by a coach that is right for a player that is maybe like me.... challenge me in tennis knowledge. Rybakina sees things differently on the court, she is taller , she stronger than most girls and yet she allowed physical issues to creep up on her mainly because her coach was not helping her enough to fulfill her sucess the way she needes to be coached. Not talking down to her. I knew this was going to happen. I do not know why she kept on definding him, I remember many times this same issue was brough up and she defended him saying that he had helped her. Well look at it now? she has emotionl problems and physical ones too. Sad. If she does not take care of her body and the apparent amount of nagging injuries she has, she will end her career very soon.

Male coaches and young girls are a volatile and dangerous situation in ALL sports and schools. There must be a strict moral code for men in positions of dominance over crush prone teens. Its the professor and coed scenario. Formality used to be my position as a lifelong aquatics and volleyball coach of young ladies ... Miss Jones...Mr. Smith...coach...old fuddyduddy...good...
