Its kind of stupid how a player can reach a maximum potential at 18 years old. I would honestly like it more if players overalls raised at a slower rate that could be accelerated by good form without a cap to overall.
True, but that's through training constantly, if you were to promote them and give them games without training at all, it would be even SLOWER because they aren't good enough to play, it's ultimately better to have a player at maximum potential at 18 than a low 60 player at the age of mid-20's. But if that's how you like it, I won't judge you.😄

I recommend something When you send scout/s to one country And after a month when you can see what did they find Just look at the price If player is above 150,000 € or £ He is a player with a rating about 60 OVR...but do not take him if he is 18,just if he is really good (400,000-1,000,000 £ or € ) And one more thing take 2 players max. cuz if you take more players there will be just 1 or 2 sesions of training per player
if you keep train this player, he will change the status from for example join in 2022, then become show great potential etc then if the overall is 90 it will become one of the world's best
Happened to me once with an ivorian striker he became a 92 rated and was an absolute goal machine i scouted ivory coast for physically strong for 9 months but i only trained him on attacking and dribbling (stamina and passing but not that frequently)
That's a better idea I've an 87 rated Russian cf fantastic player but he's so weak although he wasn't really train properly, but I'll give that a go with physically strong player 👌🏼 cheers

If I’m playing a personal Career Mode I would rotate, but for best results I use all 5 slots for the same player. Yeah, I use this method on real players too, check out my 92 Rated Lucien Agoume from my WonderKids To Glory Series.

Think the best youth ive ever got was an english cb 6 foot 5 with 90 plus potential. Or a belgium wibger five star weak foot. Rw or lw. 90 plus potential but his pace never got too high. He was 91 when i stopped playing. He just never felt rapid. And composure was awful so never scored mucu
I would love to see you compare this full on training method to just letting him grow naturally see which has better starts and which feels better to use
I don’t bother with training I mainly try get Postions I’m Lacking On Promote Them Up Then Just put them in their for a few seasons and they grow them selves

Yes. Traits are random.
Would you genuinely put one player in training for the whole year? Surely you would rotate? Also do you ever train real players or only youth?

Save before promoting.
That way if his Potential Status isn’t good enough. Reload and release the player.
