Two things I noticed: 1. From what we can see of the mom's "memories" (those colored orbs in the background), she seems to have a pretty calm demeanor. I don't see a single red orb back there. 2. This is actually quite perfect because the emotions in the parents' minds are a well-oiled machine. They're generally on the same level with each other and everything's in control. In Riley's growing mind, however, her emotions seem to be having a hard time getting along and maintaining peace and understanding each other. Pixar, this is why I love you again and again. :D
0:33 He is 'watching' Ice hockey in his mind. In the UK version of the trailer, he is watching soccer instead. Pixar really knows how to localize, eh ;)
I like how each person has diffrent inner decor. The mother's head room has curtians and stuff. The father's is like a sports lounge and the kids' is of course kid themed.
The father's leading emotion seems to be Anger and the mom's is Sadness (is she depressed or something?) and they all look kinda like their people. But the girl's are different genders and stuff, maybe she's a bit confused? Diagnosis? Puberty. A cookie for everyone who gets that reference;)
I must say, this concept is a fairly interesting one. I find it funny that the dad's mind is more like a military base while the mom's and child's respective brains look more casual. I look forward to the final product with anticipation.
I vividly remember watching this trailer when It was uploaded, and 9 years later, as of today Inside Out 2 is finally in theaters. It’s a little scary how fast time went by since this trailer came out.
Noted...the mom has an all female control room, the dad has an all male control room. The little girl has a mixture of both. Or am I reading far too deep into this?
Nicholas Williams Might just signify child uncertainty in general. Doesn't necessarily mean she has gender issues, or she's a tomboy. Guess we wont know 'til we see the movie.

I can't believe it's been 9 years since this movie came out-it's like revisiting an old friend who always knows how to make you smile. Time flies, but the emotions still hit just as hard.
it seems like all the emotions are united i the parents minds. They don't argue with each other. Meanwhile, in Rileys mind all emotions seem to have different opinions and arguing with each other. Open your mind to something new? The Incredibles and Toy Story both had to have a FIRST. I think Pixar and Disney know what they're doing - and they'll continue a story line only if it can be quality material - I hope both these can be developed and released soon, but I'm willing to wait rather than forsake quality for speed.
EnchantedMob™ I bet Incredibles 2 will be based on that Disney on Ice show, 'Disney On Ice Disneyland Adventure' while Toy Story 4 is now a romantic comedy ( or rom-com) and not the continuation of the trilogy. Speaking of Toy Story 4, I will wonder if their fourth film will be about several romance stories between our fav Toy Story characters, like Jessie and Buzz and Barbie and Ken and then it involves the dance--I meant a party kind of dance.
When listening and looking at the voices inside the Mom's head it looks warm and cozy. Then zoom into the Dad's head and you immediately notice there's more room, the feel is clammy, somewhat cold, and more echo when the voices talk as if the dad's brain is barren. Interesting attention to detail Pixar! This film has already gotten 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. Very excited to see this piece of carefully structured art.

I really hope that they considered making a sequel.

The emotion in the center of the table seems to be the default state that the character is in. The mom's is sadness (probably because she is thinking about her daughter's first day of school) while the dad's is anger which is probably due to him thinking about his current life situation all the time (or in the clip they showed him thinking about hockey). The daughter's central emotion was hard to see but I believe it was anger as well. I guess it will make more sense when the movie comes out.

I know the premise to this movie is the little girl (Riley) moving into a new town, and struggling with life..and after some serious thinking, I think I have an idea of what this movie is going to be about. Alright, so..notice how in the parent's brains their emotions are all agreeing with one another, and conforming under one leader? While, inside Riley's mind, everything is bonkers for control, and who gets to do what? I think this whole movie is about how Disgust and Anger think they have the most control in this mind, and Joy and the others don't seem to like it. While Riley is battling the real-world, the emotions in her head battle for dominance as Riley's main emotion, the one she usually turns to. Maybe they all have their own unique way they think Riley should grow up, like Anger thinks Riley should be mean and nasty, but assertive to get what she wants, while Fear thinks she should be sheltered and afraid to step out of her comfort zone. I really do think this movie is going to revolve around some sort of power struggle, and either Anger or Disgust is going to be the antagonist; but not exactly doing bad things, just trying to live life the way they think could protect the girl they live inside of. Just thinking is all..this movie has great possibilities, and I am sooo excited for it!

Anyone notice how the main emotions in the parents were Sadness and Anger in the mom and dad? But they were both mature and controlled as well as having their own stations and working together actively? And that in the dad, the right hand man to his anger was fear and for the mom, all the emotions got more equal time. But in the kid, everyone kinda fought/randomly took over and Joy was the main one in control? I like it. Very sneaky Pixar/Disney, and pretty brilliant. This move hit me in all of my feels.
