  • The Band of the Coldstream Guards supporting Coldstream Guards regimental Black Sunday parade from Wellington Barracks to the Guards Memorial at Horse Guards Parade on Sunday 12th May 2024.
    00:00 Standard of St George
    01:31 Northumbrian Airs
    04:45 The Thunderer
    07:14 General Willie
    08:14 Millanollo
The band was led by Coldstream Guards regimental Drum Major Fairley and was under the direction of their Director of Music Major Teggarty.
    Personal Note:
Due to many other events taking place in London on this day I was unable to film the return march to Wellington Barracks in full. Do keep an eye out over the coming days for videos of Cavalry Sunday, The Changing of the Guard from the 12th May and also The Royal Marines Band Collingwood leading the annual Graspan Parade!

Is anything known yet about the list of marches for the Trooping The Color 2024?

Not publicly yet. The music will officially get released on the day of KBP - Saturday 15th June. However, rehearsals are starting in the next few weeks so the eagle eyes viewer on TH-cam might be able to work out what’s being played before the 15th.

I think 7:14 isn’t “General Willie” but “The Coldstream Colonel”!

The march goes by two names! Both I think are technically correct. I used the name written on the march list by the band that was provided to me. Good spot though 👍

The march was written by LSgt James Scott of the Band of the Coldstream Guards in honour of LtGen Sir William Rous, Colonel of the Coldstream Guards from 1994 until his death in 1999. Thus explaining the dual names.

The retired Guardsmen looked so smart. Their training, and pride, shows right through.

Why do the police always walk in the middle of the road dropping the sh.t for the guards to walk through .why dont they walk on he side
