So, I’ve been studying for an MCAT for about the last 7 months. It’s a bit brutal, trying to balance long hours at work with somehow longer hours studying. A lot of time is spent taking notes, answering practice questions, and lots of flash cards. Overall, very boring and yet very stressful. Considering the tests are around 7.5 hours of pure silence, I listen to music during my study time to try and relax or vibe. The best stuff are usually lyric-less, melody driven songs with lots of variety as to not get bored. Bonus points if it’s music I’ve never heard before, since it’s less distracting. Naturally, that leads to soundtracks, which leads to video game OSTs, which lead to mixtapes, which lead to… you. I ran through your library a few times. There are lots of specific playlists out there, mainly Nintendo or lofi remixes, and they all rule; but I kept coming back to your videos. They are so diverse and lift my mood constantly and make me curious about other games in the world. Plus, your presentation is immaculate, seriously. Names of the tracks, minor animations, good design; I love it. Just the way the music flows in to one another, some with custom transitions, usually with similar BPMs, it’s great. You go beyond what is expected and that’s something admirable. My MCAT is in 5 days. I’ve been keeping myself from playing this video until now so I don’t waste it. There are lots of opinions about whether one should retake this test, since it may lead to lower scores or questionable interviews, so this may be my only chance. So… thank you for the video. I genuinely can’t wait to listen. And if I feel like I need another try, I know that I have some good music to look forward to ;)
@@jmopborba tysm!! for all the mixing and video editing I use Sony Vegas. I put a transparent limiter on and try to balance any major changes in volume by ear but I’m still learning lol
