  • “The Record of the Heart-felt Advice of the Dakini, Indestructible Glorious Lamp” - by Ayu Khandro
    Translated by James Low
Ayu Khandro (Long Life Dakini), also known as Dorje Paldrön, lived from 1839 to 1953 (114 years). She was a practitioner, yogini, and terton of Tibetan Buddhism in Eastern Tibet. An accomplished Dzogchen meditator, she is renowned for her extensive pilgrimages throughout Tibet, long periods of dark retreat practice, the gongter of the practice of the yidam Senge Dongma (the Lion-Faced Dakini), various forms of Chöd, and her lifelong dedication to spiritual practice.
She led the life of a hidden yogini, spending a significant amount of her life in retreat or as a wandering chodma. She was recognised as an emanation of Vajrayogini.

Today was one of the worst days of my life, as illusions I had carefully cultivated and cherished for half a century were cruelly, if perhaps necessarily, shattered. This meditation did not bring equipoise, but it points the way. Your kindness leaves me speechless in gratitude.

No language, or any symbol that denotes any concept. No attachment or detachment.
    No awareness of awareness.
    No-knowingness of knowing.
    No mind.
    No pattern recognition
Language is not recognized as something separate from the background.
    Conceptually speaking:
Meditation on the meditator sometimes takes ‘characters’’ beyond the role of a character.
    Subjective content ahead:
An appearance of a memory prompted only by song. Memory comes up when the song is heard but no attention other than general attention is given to the connection and then is discarded.
    HOWEVER
Recent appearance of this memory coupled with a state:
    semi-meditative.
Lucidity was, and the edge of no mind was aware of itself.
I became the memory! The perceived and the perceiver = Same.
Alas! All that’s written above is just the mind filling content in the dream! It features characters pretending to know that they know! This “person” included

    • @mtmind6560

Addendum: When ‘I’ became both the memory of “that”. I was also this ‘mind’! I can confirm true nature is that! And yet, the recognition of the “blank nothing” is also there. The instantaneous nothing/something was not reacted upon. Because the apparent manifestation was unable to be realized as something different than non manifestation.
      It just wasn’t there.
      Then it appeared.
      Then it disappeared.
Only in this current ‘state’ can the mind give words or concepts to a ‘happening’. That is to say, this merging of what is seemingly two separate entities had to be felt as dualism in order for there to be recognition of “THAT”. Or any ability to even know there was that! So being completely ‘that’; it is not possible to know existence!!
      How WILD!!
