Yes ,he was ! He was very advanced already as a drummer at 11 ! He was/ is the best rock drumner ! And a very talented writer as well ! As well as the sweetes man I've ever known .He was a GEM ! Thank you for remembering him! Please keep remembering Jon Lee ! 💜🥁🐉🎤
@@spark_6710did you know him well. My old band shared a pair of blonde twin agents with feeder from canary wharf. I think the last time I saw them was liquid room Edinburgh but we went to the funeral. You could tell he was a jazzer. It would be great to hear his drum tracks. Do you know which we're his fav drummers? Probably most tragic band death in history but polythene serves as a very bright sunny reminder to that time.
I'd guess it's because Yesterday Went Too Soon had just been released, so they were mainly playing songs from that album plus a few hits from Polythene
It totally works !! But, I DO get why you disapprove. Lol. Jon meant that way,I bet !! He wanted something to me this way ! Please remember Jonathan Henry Lee. 💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞
Don't get me wrong, it is a statement of intent and hearing Descend as an opener would blow anyones mind. I personally would save it for later in the set, but then I am sat behind a keyboard while these guys was living the best life.
@@Paul_Abbott_Landsraad_Project Thank you for your reply ! I totally agree w/ you on saving this song for the middle in the progress ,or towards the end !! No worries Spark. He was an incredibly talented bloke and much missed within this business we call show. As for the promoting of him on comments such as this, I am not sure its needed. Yes maybe 10 or 30 years from now it might be, but we are the generation who knew of Jon and what he brought to the bands early days.
@@Paul_Abbott_Landsraad_Project I am glad to hear that ! But, Jon died for me & people are believing in the false story they came up at the time !! They put the disgrace on Jon's face !! I've been reading ugly comments & approached from people remembering him that way ! Jon never slapped his wife, or any woman !! He wasn't even jealous of his wife !! Thank you ! Thank you for your replies !
I' m the french guy who originally recorded it on tape at the time ! I discovered the band with this concert and so, I recorded the rerun 3 days later. What a good idea I had ;-) And, after all this years, I think Feeder was never as good as they were at this moment. Great sound, great songs !
Really!? Thanks so much for doing that! IMO this is the BEST recorded Feeder gig you can find on the web. Kudos Sax!!!! It's hard to see a Feeder gig nowadays after seeing this kind of videos. Both their songs and their gigs have lost a lot of energy compared to their golden era. Jon's death and Grant almost losing his voice have been a great problem to the band. IMO the only way Feeder can carry on properly is by giving Taka a more relevant role in the songs. He's the only member of the original band that haven't had any issue about his musical skills. He's a pretty good (and underrated) bassist. In fact, you can see (actually hear) that in this video with the bass sound heightened and the effect it does to the general sound quality.
Effectivement, j'ai envie de dire un gros merci :) Ils repassent à Paris en mars, tournée du best of, j'espère qu'ils vont nous recaler quelques anciennes chansons :)
I'd like to thank you for this precious video! You don't have ANY IDEA HOW THIS ONE MEANT TO ME! You changed my views on life!!! I'd love to tell you why,but I can't as I don't wanna get in a trouble ,getting sued. But,FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART, I THANK YOU!!! I WISH IF I WAS THERE! FOR JON .THANK YOU SO SO MUCH!!!BLESS YOU! XOXO
This very well might be the best version of Tinseltown I've ever heard.
Jon was an outstanding drummer. Gone too soon. RIP.
Best FEEDER era! ❤❤❤
Jon was such a god damn good drummer. One of the most underrated in rock in my opinion. The guy was a machine!

@@andym28 My reply to you got deleted in minutes .
@@spark_6710 most likely because your reply was bullshit and lies. My father had nothing to do with you so stop spreading it.
@@spark_6710Probably because it was false information and the support team is finally catching on?
a live album from 99-01 would be awesome
That is hands down the best live version of MPD ive heard
I'm glad that you enjoyed it! This was the original version.
Same with YWTS
This is a stunning version of My Perfect Day! Goosebumps in the mid section
This was the original version, indeed.Jon is AMAZING HERE! ADORABLE,TOO!
Such a masterpiece!!! Greeting from indonesia!❤️
Tinsel town is amazing! 😍
THIS IS HISTORY!
What a performance of Dry :O
this is fantastic
Feeder were a great band, really. Why the heck didn’t they play sweet 16? Best song ever!
And still are. One of the things I like about them is they never quit no matter what happens. And they aged really gracefully.
I'd guess it's because Yesterday Went Too Soon had just been released, so they were mainly playing songs from that album plus a few hits from Polythene
AWESOME. thanks for all these vids haha
When Feeder were Feeder. Buck Rogers changed everything in 2001 by 2005 their music was much more pop and they lost last their Rock/Indie edge.
...fuckin' hell it's hot! haha
Pfft Descend as a set opener 🤯
