Always nice to get a message from you! At the moment we're cycling in the Pamir mountains of Tajikistan and we're both fantasising about a lightweight set-up... Especially now that we're meeting so many other cyclists with all kinds of tips and tricks to lighten the load! In the future we will try to minimise without giving in on comfort!
@@WheelstoWander i think it will happen Scotland from the English uk, and needs to we are used ; what i think is once this happens we will actually be closer together because a imbalance will have been addressed and the Equality of our people's will be able to shine again so we will see each other in a even nicer way than before if you have no respect you don't treat people well the English government does not treat Scots well its not the English people , so will be better when we are independent not just for us, now the eu we voted to stay in but as usual there are more English than scots so our wishes are not important our first minister is not even aloud at the talks but our oil is ofcorse, important the separation from the Eu will be terrible, we are already seeing the start of it , people need to come together to help each other, injustice needs to stop , why are the people's of this really quite small planet so bad to each other , i hope you guys are safe , i would get bear spray, it can keep you both safer if you get my message take care x
Hi David! I can really see this comes from your hart. Out on the road almost everybody we meet is very friendly and of course there are rotten apples on every tree. What we gather from our tour is the tiny minority really can mess things up for the willing majority! There is always hope and when people come together big things can happen. We are all equal under the same sun, but that can be a hard thing to grasp with so many cultural distractions. We have to stay positive and always hope for the best! Good luck with your efforts!
This whole journey is very unsettling to me I can't even imagine what it must have been like to actually go there pretty sketchy pretty nerve-wracking I would not have gone and your lady there so her family lives there I just can't imagine living there under those conditions I would want to be hightailing it out of there. I hope to hear back from you guys

The big plastic ones are Nalgene 1.5 liters, pretty sturdy (little heavy) unless you would use them for boiling water (they can manage a few times but will break eventually), over all recommended!

I just bought some waterproof gear from 7 roads workshop and I'll tell you it's very good gear, they are a young bike packing husband and wife who use what they build... check them out on.... you tube ... and they build what you want custom for example they put a picture of bear on my bag... they make very high quality and very affordable gear ... Very helpful and good to work with.... Be sure to tell them I told you about them, I talk a lot about them in my post.... I hope you both are well and safe!! 👍😁😎😉....

My suggestion.. your panniers should have been in Bright colours like "Yellow / Red / Light Green".. also you can mount your solar panel behind your rear horizontal bag.. Rest You Guy.. Enjoy.
That is a good suggestions Sanjay! Because we wild camp a lot we want to be as stealthy as we can hence the muted and grey colours. For safety we have a bright orange backpack rain cover to put over the rackpack to stand out when necessary 👌🏼
