Great video, more like this would be great. To get this video complete must have taken ages to put all the short recordings together and in order, thank you for spending the time to do this, also nice seeing what else goes on at The MX5 Restorer.
I can sympathize on driver orientation... When I visited Cheltenham back in '99, I had trouble trying to park on the street in a RHD Ford Galaxie rental van☺ I let the local fellows drive when we went to Wales (Rally of GB marshalling crew)...
Really, really enjoyed this little film. Loved the different perspective of the business but would love to know how economically viable it is to travel that distance to pick up a breaker. More of the same please….
Gareth, Seems to be a long way to go for what was likely as you said to be a scrapper or is that just the cost of doing business in the secondhand MX5 market.
I agree, that was a long way to go for what might end up being a breaker, but I have a threshold price for a mk1 that I am happy to pay on the off chance it’s worth saving, I win some and lose some.
Hi I'm a new subscriber and enjoying your videos. Do you know of an electric mirrors conversion that replaces the manual mirrors on a 1993 mk1. Preferably one that doesn't require too much modification of the car? It's the biggest negative on my car. I'm in South Australia.
Hi, welcome to the channel, The short answer is yes, the mk1 was available with electric mirrors (I’m not sure if that is the case in Australia) so we often have complete electric mirror sets available with wiring and switch. Email ash@themx5restorer.co.uk to see if we have anything in stock that can be sent out to you!
More of these videos please & would be nice to see their complete journey back to the customer/sold or last resort broken. 👍👍👍👍
glad you enjoyed it, we will try to capture as much of the works done on them as possible
Some more of these please bud.

It sure is a lot of work, I'm glad you enjoyed watching.

it's strange how weird it is.

It’s not really that economically viable, but you have to take the risk, because sometimes you manage to get a gem! 😉
It's good they're being rescued 👍🏻 after the damaging neglect
Keep watching to see what happens to them
Great video very interesting
Glad you enjoyed it

I think When you have a trailer hitched up you’ve extended your car so you don’t need a plate on the vehicle anyways just the trailer .
