I notice this stat isnt design for people who leave the house, My previous stat non open therm, If I was leaving the house I only need to press one button to switch off or on. On this one they have spend good resource with coping program from day to day whereas the feature that a user would need isnt there. most people would only need to set it up once so dont need the copy but are more likely to go out or come home in the middle of a program. The instruction video show an override which means you have to faf about opening flap, swiching slider to manual then pressing - button, since the >> button is on the front panel below the home button why didnt they program that for on /off? Its just sitting there like a choc teapot taking up space.
Just wondering why features it is that you like, The most useful feature that I would like is a single button to press for on/off if I was leaving the house or I come home early and want to boost the temp
@@dantronics1682 that's a fair point. But there are other devices on the market that do that. You buy what suits you. Maybe it could do with a simple on/off button though
Thank you so much for your response, I chabged batteries in the old thermo and its working now PHEW! Snowed aswell over here I was stressing away but took a battery change literally. Thank you again for your response much appreciated
2 flat openings underneath. One on left, one on right. Screwdriver or flat instrument to push the clips back inside to pry the lid off. I've done it many times and it is fiddly and won't come apart without some decent force. I've never broken one. 🙏
Massive help, thank you!
That’s helpful for me, thank you 🙏
You are welcome
Thanks Good Video
Thank you 👍

It's a fair comment. My answer....I don't know....lol. I just install it. Alot of products on the market could do with improvement.
Hi there mate just a quick one So I can't download an app on my phone to tell the unit to come on or off?
Not that I am aware of
These are not Wi-Fi/smart phone controlled
@@andykeen6219 no they are not
Hello what does it mean when it says HI on the thermostat where the they normally shows the room temperature?
I don't know 😕 you'll have to reach out to ESI
Do I need to press either button on the receiver to set frost protector or just the control unit ,?
Frost protection is built in. You don't need to do anything
Are these units reliable... They are much cheaper than say honeywell... I love the features it has..just as good as a honeywell....
They are very reliable. Only ever had an issue with 1. Must have installed 50 over last 7 years. Simple. Cheap. But robust. And decent buttons.

Mine has been wall mounted and we want to use it on the stand - how do I unclip it from the holder on the wall?

@@intheknow3989 that’s excellent thank you so much for coming back. Really kind. Love your videos, great explanations ❤️
What does UN BOL L mean it’s showing on mine?
I actually don't know. I've never seen it. Have you googled it?
Is there any way to connect this to your phone?
No
