Yes Seth definitly is, Not Gonna Die was the biggest inspiration to start creating riffs, and Feel Invincible was my first solo learned! Love the guitar in Skillet, and Skillet in general, such good lyrics and melodies!
I love that anyone in the band can be looked up to as a role model. They are all good influences. Though while their music is uplifting and encouraging. It was Jen's band LEDGER that saved me both in the physical sense and has brought me back to God. So while I love the whole band Jen just means a little more to me.
John Cooper looks different without his beard. Korey looks different with black hair and Jen Ledger looks different with orange hair. I don’t recognize them. The only one I recognized is Seth. Only because he’s looked the same for years!
Yeah the band has gone through many looks. I became a fan towards the tail end of with the other guitarist Ben before Seth. When Jen had blonde hair with black streaks. I feel like now is the Skillet that John was looking for from the start everyone plays their roles so perfectly now. I love seeing how far they have grown too. Especially Jen you can tell she is more confident but doesn't let it cloud her mind. The fact she also finally started her solo project a couple years is exciting too. Her voice is amazing and unique
I remember this band started all because of God, but they don't speak about God once in this video,what happened it's because of you guys that I learned true Christian rock.:-(
But they talk about god at every concert :) I'm not a christian,I am not even religious...but I like that. That they stay this way and talk about this in what they are believe in. A lot people wouldn't do that because it means a lot less sucess. Skillet for life!
Maybe that is a good thing. It's perfectly okay to believe in what you want to believe in, but you don't have to share it every opportunity you get. I actually rather like that bands like Skillet and Red might say one or two things about their beliefs at concerts, but for the most part they let their music speak for itself.
I hear your concern, but they may not have been asked questions related to their religion and this is video so it may have been edited out if they did say something.
I would like to see Jen as the lead singer of the band no animosity towards John but Jen being the lead singer should be experimented on a bit with John taking her place them switching positions in the musical group that I might add is fantastic.
The song Salvation on the Rise CD was like that with Jen taking the lead. I'd love it if maybe they had like 2 or 3 songs on each CD where Jen takes the lead. Those these days it does seem more 50/50 with them
