To clarify a few things for Gray the tree at 10:19 ish was not ripped up. We had a lot of rain prior to Irma and our ground was soaked, which took away the structural integrity of the root system and what happens is the ground can no longer support the tree. In the best of areas we have about a foot to two feet of real dirt before you hit bedrock so the roots don't grow down they spread outward. Now we did have a few trees ripped from the ground but they look different then this and more like a tornado ripping the trees out. Lastly, as Gray stated don't go driving around in any major storms, I am retired from Lee County S.O. and if they would have gotten injured they would have to wait until the winds settled down to around 45 mph sustained for life threatening and 35 mph for standard. Oh and no F.D. or Ambulance would respond only the hated Cops. If I had a camera for Charlie would have been cool, I was the last Deputy on the road and was returning to our shelter when I had a tree pass me upside down and going the way I had just came from. I wish I would have gotten a copy of the recording of me calling it into dispatch. Also Gray if you read this you need to block out the street signs, just an fyi.

When hurricane Harvey hit Texas multiple tornadoes touched down in Oklahoma City, a 490+ miles from the nearest beach in Texas. I was in school when the rain was beating the *youtube friendly word* out of place when the tornado sirens went off, the teacher (science) said that she expected this to happen, but luckily it missed us.
