The Wilburn Brothers were such a part of REAL country music. I only got to see them on one occasion when they played a concert in Dublin, Ireland. I became a huge follower of their music and have several vinyl albums of theirs from over the years. I even joined their Fan Club! I have featured them on numerous occasions on my radio and TV shows in Ireland. Special people from a special era. Huge respect for Doyle and Teddy.
The wilburn brothers.. We used to watch them Every. saturday when we lived in tennessee,, Smyrna tennessee maybe people would know where that's at.. But Saturday's was a big thing. For our family we had cookouts and had the TV on the front porch. Watching country Music. at ten o'clock we watched our Wrestling.. God I missed those days....
That news guy was like a vulture trying to get Loretta to talk, she was obviously distraught and should have been left to go her way as she wanted. The Wilburn Bros. were a great duet group, sad to have that happen to Doyle at such a young age.
Doyle Wilburn used to swerve and speed his way to the Grand Ole Opry House. The Police officers would be in hot pursuit, and wait backstage while Doyle changed into his shoe costume, and performed with his brother, Teddy Wilburn! After Doyle had finished performing and changed out of his show costume, the police officers would arrest and book him for DUI. The first few times were awkward, but eventually it became a routine for everyone!

There's no excuse for them not being there, period. How can we contact the right person there to make this happen?
I grew up watching the Wilburn Brothers show. I still enjoy their music.
He was soooo young.....very sad. A great family, the Wilburn's.
