It's been 9 years since my dearest person on earth passed away: my mother. I've been through dark nights of the soul a few times. Last one, hit me hard but was enriching. So, this could well be my void. However, now I can understand many things my strictness and harshness on others and myself prevented me from seeing a bit more of the wide whole picture. Although I'm not there yet for this journey will be as long as it is meant to be, I am understanding more and more every day. What you've said not only resonates but is a thorough insight of me.
