Hi you two! I was there in November it’s pretty quiet but nice. Has some interesting geology. Got vacated when the hurricane of some sorts came and went down to Hernando to stay in a buddy’s driveway. Spent all December in different parks. A couple of weeks ago was at Blue Spring SP. Manatees in the spring there, beautiful, history and a nice long out and back trail totaling 7.2 miles. Parked in St. Petersburg area now in my condo but heading out in a few weeks to Lake Panasoffkee wilderness area. One of the water places. I think you would like it. DePuis is still one of my favorites. Been some changes there so read the stuff on it. Have a great time. Your cooking is ruining my diet. Thank You! Rubs to Pistol!

When I lived on my boat I baked bagels, bread & cookies in a Cuisinart Steam/Convection counter top oven. It worked amazingly well. I liked it so much that I bought another for my Ambo kitchen. The bagels were so good! Another fantastic video!
A little of bit of everything in this video. Irene, I aspire to your spontaneity in your cooking, you use cashews in so much and I must try this. When I get my mobile retirement up and running and head to Florida with 2 cats that need fresh air, this is the only thing I worry about Snakes and Alligators. They have tracking collars and I never let them out of my site but I know they could never be off-leash. I would never tie them up in Florida or anywhere and leave them outside either. Where I live they are able to roam a little but still have to worry about Eagles, but they do chase foxes out of the yard. So will have to figure things out as I go. Enjoy the sun and freedom you 3.

I love to see you cook and bake! You should have your own cooking channel. I must know what your process is for washing all of those dishes in the van! That’s one thing I struggle with in the van: washing dishes.
Our advise for dishes is Paper towels. We wipe all dishes clean right away! A small slightly soapy towel to wipe them again and a quick rinse. Maybe we’ll show our method in a video;)
I love baking when I camp. We always go for our anniversary and my husbands birthday, and I bake a cake 🎂 or brownies and make homemade ice cream 🍨!! I also bake homemade bread usually in the dutch oven. I use the Colman camp oven for my cake or brownies and other stuff. Great video. I like to see you camping and cooking. Safe travels.

They call them cotton mouth because the inside of their mouth (usually seen when they are trying to bite you) is white. Certain times of the year they can be extremely aggressive, give them plenty of leeway. I think i would have thinned the sauce out with a little white wine or beer. LOL

I know it's been awhile checking in after the bike accident and your close call with death-there is no other way to put it... You are one fortunate guy to write to tell about it. The reason it's taken so long for me to respond is because I got too emotional listening to your story. It stirred up my own brush with death that happened many years ago. Weird how your incident transported me back to that time. I had been involved in a car accident and just knew I was going to die. The car had flipped a few times, was upside down and spinning out of control with traffic going 75mph, and I was listening to the asphalt scratching the roof inches above my head. But I didn't die. I was wearing my seat belt and somehow and the car came to rest in the center divide of the freeway without flipping over the guardrail into oncoming traffic. We hadn't hit anything and no one hit us - it was a miracle. Afterwards all I could think of was how grateful I was to be alive and what was important to me. Not the materialistic things or the day to day drama but friends, my family and live itself. I heard that in your story too. So thank you for that reminder. I'm so glad it didn't diminish your zest for adventure and that you understand what you're grateful for and what bring you joy. You have a lot of love from friends and family and best of all Irene (and Pistol of course). May I end with an enthusiastic, heartfelt Carry On! p.s. thankful for helmets. Perfect rolls. They bake nicely in the Coleman oven. Just mind that the canister on that gas cooker is not getting hot when you are cooking or baking in something wide like the Coleman oven. If the canister gets too hot, it will explode. And that is a bad thing. I am baking bread in a ten litre Ikea pot on the same type of gas cooker. It takes about 50 minutes. When I do that, I use a piece of tinfoil (double it twice - ten cm wide) between the pot and the compartment of the canister. I make it stand up there if you get what I mean. And then the gas canister is protected.
I've been looking for new ways to eat pasta and that looks really good I bet that little bit of the nutty flavor with the clam juice bet it tastes so good

The folding pan is by wonderform I believe. We haven’t found anything better that folds away like this. The mods we’ve done really help if you’ve seen our other videos on that.
If we have stew, spaghetti or anything with sauce, we always have biscuits, garlic bread, etc, cuz in KY we call that sopping it up. If you don't have something to sop it up with, that may be a reason for divorce around here. LOL

Sam's Club has the butane cans for 150 each in the commercial food prep area. We love the butane but doesn't work below 32,then we swap to propane. Gas one has one with a larger btu burner which we like. We are in Alabama now but have to be in Illinois by the 4th. Enjoy the sunshine

@@CareyOnVagabond Iska my Boston who passed last year, used to get heat stroke really easily. I had to be careful. She was so tiny and skinny though. She ate loads and never put on weight. My Cavi is totally the opposite. They were like little and large. It is so lovely seeing your dog. She has a similar face to Iska. Sooo cute

Thanks! We usually use propane but we didn’t have any trouble getting these at Walmart.
If you add a piece of plastic wrap on top of the vitamix before you put the lid on vita mix you will have easy clean up.🙂

@@CareyOnVagabond Iska my Boston who passed last year, used to get heat stroke really easily. I had to be careful. She was so tiny and skinny though. She ate loads and never put on weight. My Cavi is totally the opposite. They were like little and large. It is so lovely seeing your dog. She has a similar face to Iska. Sooo cute
