What Dan is describing is what made Norm Chow's USC offenses so difficult to defend. Teams had to defend so many weapons and cover the entire field, and while he had a great QB (Leinart) to run the show, Caleb is on a different level than ML, Carson, or any other QB to play at USC. We'll find out, but this "could" be the greatest offense we've ever seen at USC....and that's sayin something. Great to see Dan doing a postgame analysis, and I'm sure it's a lot more fun for him than it's been for a while.

Wow. It's great to see Dan. I miss his analysis.
@5:57 Neo in the Matrix 😂
I was at the game and it was impressive to see USC dominate an opponent using probably only 15% of their playbook.
Defense looks so much better, from good fundamental tackling to gap protection. They didn't allow Stanford's star TE, Ben Yurisek, to kill them on short yardage plays. They didn't get rattled by Stanford's no- huddle offense.
Dan was right about the halftime show. I bought friends to the game for the first time and they loved it-- magical & engaging.

First and foremost, it’s always great to see you Dan. I hope that you continue to stay very connected to the program. Secondly, your comments regarding the defensive calls is spot on. I think that the two defensive calls against San Jose State costs the defense 14pts. I think that coach feels the need to show he’s a good defensive coordinator and tries to often to out scheme the other team’s offense. Keep it simple is the key and that will go a long way towards allowing the defense to play fast and aggressive. The key is knowing down and distance and field position. Those things dictate what defensive call to make. But the defense is making strides. It only gets tougher from here. Fight On!

Now to business. We did what we were supposed to do in the start of this season. So everybody calm down with all the hype, the real test will come in 2 wks and then 2 wks after at Notre Dame. Thats where Grinch is gonna have to prove his worth.
Only complaint on offense is CLR’s continual refusal to let the rbs run the rock when we are blowing out opponents.
We have ZERO games where a rb has ran for 100 yds, we have ZERO games where a rb has carried the ball 10 times…that must be some kind of record when blowing out opponents 40+ pts a game.
There will come a time when we face a defense that will contain our passing game and we will have to lean on the running game and my worry is CLR’s stubbornness will lead to him blowing a game for us cuz he just refuses to run the ball.
