a dash of ash oh man I have a ton of tattoos. This the link for the Kell eyes. It's not the best looking tattoo I have but I like it alright m.imgur.com/gallery/8fBNWn9
I thought the scene where we first find Holland in black London with Osaron quite bizarre. I pictured Osaron wide eyed covered in soot just waiting for who knows how long for another living thing to cross paths with him so he could indulge and consume all that is good within whatever/whoever would be unfortunate enough to come across the grand ruler in his wastelands. I also felt extremely bad for Holland regardless of what he has caused, he's suffered so much. Anyways I love this series and your in dept discussion of this book.
I absolutely loved this series. I had a feeling that Lila was Antari during the 1st book. The 2nd book is my favorite. I love the scene where Lila tells Kell that Alucard is her captain, that she originally meant to kill him and take his ship, and then Kell asks her why she didn't follow through with that plan because he hates Alucard that much. And Alucard is standing right there with them. The bantering between all of these characters is great throughout the series.
loved this book it was great! i liked the scene where Alucard and Lila were on the night spire after she killed his thief and he's deciding what to do and she's like "no i am your best thief" like yes this is her at her best!!
As soon as Tieren mentioned her glass eye I was like OH YEAH SHE'S ANTARI. I actually had a theory that she and Kell were brother and sister since they both had mysterious, forgotten childhoods, and Lila must've been from Red London but was hidden away in Grey London... it was all so reminiscent of Luke and Leia! I was so sure there would be that reveal in book three. I'm glad I was wrong (because, ew) but I'm still upset that we didn't get any real answers about either of their pasts.
I'm so excited you finally read this! This series honestly one of the best fantasy series I've ever read...and I've read quite a few :) Glad you love it as well!
a dash of ash Right! I thought about filming a booktalk about it but I'm just still so overwhelmed by the series that I'd probably be incoherent with adoration lol
I really enjoyed the first book but the second one lost me. Plot points were missing and there was no structure or real villain like the first book. It felt like a filler to get Kell and Lila back together. And before the story begins, it ends abruptly. I stopped reading half way through and skimmed it. Then decided to see if there were any videos on it. I really like the idea of the first book but I felt like the second one didn’t live up to the concept. But I’m going to give the third a try and read the sample. 🤞 Thanks for the summary. ✌️
I wanted to read this book so much! But I decided to wait for the russian translation. The book was planned to be published this month, BUT Schwab twitted TODAY, that our publishers cut out some LGBT scenes and now she's going to cancel the contract. So most likely I won't read this book in my language ever. :(
Zeynep Kosebalaban I don't think so :( Maybe it's the universe tells me, that I should read in english more. I'll buy this series as soon as I can cause I can't wait any more!!! Hope the language won't be a problem
Aww omg I heard about that! That's so ridiculous that they would breach the contract like THAT! If you're going to breach a contract, please don't edit out scenes that MAKE THE BOOK SO MUCH BETTER! I'm sorry, and I hope the language won't be difficult for you!
I've just finished this book and I'm happy that I can finally watch this video!!! I'm gonna read Our Dark Duet before A Conjuring of Light. I need more Schwab books in my life
just found your channel and really loving your videos :) i love this series also very much! honestly the best scene for me was the whole ball sequence with kell and lila dancing and then arguing und then kissing omg i was just so happy they finally met again 😅
It's one of my favorite series too and I agree, it pretty much can top everything. But Schwab is one of my most beloved authors in general, everything she writes turns out so good!
This series is AMAZING. I loved your little Mulan musical transition into the spoiler section. I giggled. 😂 A Gathering of Shadows was my favorite book in the series, too. (I'll say it, even if you won't. 😉)
I just finished this like five minutes ago, and I'm left sitting here, wondering why I keep doing this to myself? Why do I like to torture myself? But, really Holland?!
I knew Lila was an antari in the first book as soon as it talked more and more about her eye. Ifigure someone cut it out of her head when she was little which would be another reason she was orphaned.
I remember that when I read the first book and I got to know about her glass eye and that she could magically travel as well I was like ooooo, definitely an antari, but now I am thinking it is too predictable and that it would be cool if she was something similar or like more powerful. I dont really know. but honestly great book talk, it made me want to read the next one straight away. I read this one in two days because it was just that good hahah, loved it so much but I was honestly so frustrated and emotional while reading it because it just made me feel something new and so strong around every corner and internally I was like WHYYYYYY, but really I was loving it. Except the moment when lila shipped the guy who was actually going to participate off, like that was just so unfair to him and that moment I kind of hated her for being so selfish. But like, what happened to him?? what if he comes back super pissed and wants to get his revenge and it turns out he is fucking powerful... AHHHHHH CANT WAITTTTT.
You should DEFINITELY read the next one! SO much happens its insaneeeee!! But it's so fricken good like I can't even explain. This whole series is omg. Also I totally get what you mean with Staison, what the heck happened to him? hahaha XD
The book 3 is not translated in my language yet so .... If Lila is not an antari I think I'll die .... Omg ! This books is the best and the worst thing ever ... Is better than Lord of Shadows at making you want to throw it away into walls .... #truestory
I really hope you take this as a compliment because I love your videos and think you are so sweet.. ❤ but I was staring for a minute thinking "god, WHOOOO does this girl always remind me of?" And it finally came to me. Miley Cyrus. 😂😂 I hope that doesn't offend you!! ❤❤ you are beautiful.
Some think that AGOS is like a filler but I disagree. I think it was necessary to give Lila her time to grow with her magic and this did it.
Lol I love these books so much I got Kell's eyes tattooed on my back
WHAT that's incredible! I want to see!! I've seen so many ADSOM tattoos and I really want to get one, but I always wimp out XD
a dash of ash oh man I have a ton of tattoos. This the link for the Kell eyes. It's not the best looking tattoo I have but I like it alright m.imgur.com/gallery/8fBNWn9

still can't get over how GOOD IT WAS AHHHH hahaha
a dash of ash Right! I thought about filming a booktalk about it but I'm just still so overwhelmed by the series that I'd probably be incoherent with adoration lol
That was exactly why I waited like two weeks to do mine XD
I love love love this trilogy! I love all the characters.. I cried, I laughed, I was scared, and I cried some more.. So many feels!

I guessed that Lila was Antari within the first few chapters of books one, but I think she'll end up being something more powerful than Antari.
I wanted to read this book so much! But I decided to wait for the russian translation. Анна Шавина that's so unfortunate! I hope that another publisher picks it up.
Zeynep Kosebalaban I don't think so :( Maybe it's the universe tells me, that I should read in english more. I'll buy this series as soon as I can cause I can't wait any more!!! Hope the language won't be a problem

Schwab is amazing and NO ONE CAN TELL ME OTHERWISE
I need to read book 3 soooooon
Yes I figured she was an anterior in the first book in the scene where she meats tieren for the first time
I can't wait to read this one! I actually just bought A Darker Shade of Magic yesterday because of your high review on it!
Ahhh let me know what you think! :)
You got the Lila reveal way before me! I've just finished book 3 and it wasn't until half way through that the penny dropped for me..... #shame!
I've wanted to read this series forever, I better got onto it!
DO IT! Sooooo good :)
This series is AMAZING. I loved your little Mulan musical transition into the spoiler section. I giggled. 😂 A Gathering of Shadows was my favorite book in the series, too. (I'll say it, even if you won't. 😉)
I'm glad someone noticed 😏 And omg hahaha okay, I'll admit that it was my favorite ;)
I just finished this like five minutes ago, and I'm left sitting here, wondering why I keep doing this to myself? Why do I like to torture myself? But, really Holland?!
Oof I need to reread this and the first book before getting to ACoL
I haven't read this series yet so I'm thinking of reading it💖
Oh and AMAZING video

I just finished the 3rd book and I'm sobbing. This booktalk is perfectly timed!
Edit: Will you do a book talk for the last book?
I'm hoping to! :)
Have you reviewed the last book? I cant find it
I don't, can't and won't ship Kellila, but I loved everything else about this book. Kell is my precious baby and I just want him to be okay.
Wait!! Where’s a conjuring of light 😭😭
Where's my ACOL booktalk??
I knew Lila was an antari in the first book as soon as it talked more and more about her eye. Ifigure someone cut it out of her head when she was little which would be another reason she was orphaned.
AHHH I wish I had seen it sooner! And yeah, definitely a possibility! I wish we could know what really happened!

ROBBY making you read this will be my crowning achievement
DOA could bring a ray of sunshine to a mortality table.
The book 3 is not translated in my language yet so .... If Lila is not an antari I think I'll die .... Omg ! This books is the best and the worst thing ever ... Is better than Lord of Shadows at making you want to throw it away into walls .... #truestory
Watching this in 2020 and being sad about Hastraaaaaa
I really hope you take this as a compliment because I love your videos and think you are so sweet.. ❤ but I was staring for a minute thinking "god, WHOOOO does this girl always remind me of?" And it finally came to me. Miley Cyrus. 😂😂 I hope that doesn't offend you!! ❤❤ you are beautiful.
I really don't like Lila. I tried to like her but just when I thought I was she would do or say something to change my mind. Sad.
