I like how this guy is one of the best player in the world (if not the best) and still he makes SFX and "Boom" Noises, yelling "let's go!" like a 12 year old would do. lol Gaming keeps you young at heart i guess!
daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayum... Viper micro, talks to the stream, reads chat, talk in the game chat, kill trade, help both sides, make best decisions, sling everyone, all at the same time 😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣 too insane
A nice game because not only Viper, but also Sostratus (teal) switched sides because their units were needed: Viper provided fast SO to counter Ethiopian SO, while teal provided Burmese champions to counter Eagle Warriors. (Orange also provided Ethiopian SO on both sides for the enemy team.) Gray (GGOut) never switched sides even though Bengali elephant archers with 2+6 pierce armor would have been great vs arbalest from purple. Always ask yourself, what can you do for your team? Mongol Genitours do fire faster, but they only have 4+2 pierce armor. It was great to see them make an appearance in this game.
@@fizyoterapisttanemgunay That's why you build production buildings on the other side, as Viper did. Build even one archery range on Viper's side, and a single Elephant archer (80F, 70G) survives as many Arbalest arrows as 10 halberdiers (350F, 250W), rounding down by 5 overkill arrows. That lets the Burmese player spend those 600 res on making 9 champions on your side instead of replacing halberdiers on Viper's side, and those 9 champions will be a lot more effective against eagles + SO than adding one more elephant archer to your mass of EA in close formation that keeps dying or being pushed back by SO. Edit: calculated that wrong, elephant archer survives 150 arrows, not 75, so make that 1200 res saved and 18 champions. Can't afford to make a single extra elephant archer? Ask Viper to sling some of the 4k resources he has banked up.
It would have been a good move to make a couple ranges on that side, but I think his physical and mental cycles were full. As it was they almost lost that side completely, which would have been game over. It's something he could try to improve, but I don't think he thought of it in the moment with how much he was focusing on managing that side. Viper had an easy game (for him) to begin with. He was just enjoying life. Eventually it got tougher when they started mixing in cav, but he was never facing as much ethiopian siege in the south as the north was, which is something that requires a lot of focus to fight, especially with a unit like the elephant archers. Slip up for 5 seconds and you could lose 90%, and that would likely be the game. Would it be good to send 3-5 vils to make some ranges in the south and then build a few down there? Yes. But I completely understand why it didn't happen.@@RiskyDramaUploads
@@SemiMono That's what makes this game nice (sorry for a weak adjective). Sometimes at the end of the game (win or lose), Viper might say "I could have given the other side SO" (or BBC, or rarely some other unit). In this game, he actually did. He also slung resources, and the player who was dying actually asked for resources. You get some games where the player streaming (DauT or Viper) has 10k resources banked up, another player is dying, but because they never ask for resources nothing is slung, and you're not sure if it's because the person dying was too proud to ask or the person with 10k resources didn't stop to think that a player who is dying can use extra resources. Even in this game, when Viper wanted to make Genitours with 10 farmers and had 40 free pop space, he could have asked for food but didn't.
This game is quintessential Black Forest. Ethiopian vs. Mongol SO, elephanto archers, mongol genitours, badabooms on arbs, no sneaky cutting to add another route of attack, just two chokepoint flanks slugging it out.
viper's micro with siege is truly ridiculous. i'm glad he uses those skills for video game profession rather than something like a drone operator killing humans.
history will write, in min 45BC , the mongol commander of right flank gave a motivational speech while doing parthian tactics and charged an army of genitours into the chinese flank.
For those curious whether walking to the boars was efficient: it took 110 (game) seconds to walk to the boars. In that time a villager could gather 40 wood, enough for 2/3 of a farm with 175 food that gathers 54% as fast as Mongol hunters (and takes 25 sec to build). Even if it was just 3 boars: say you collect 300 food because of decay, then 900 food is 5.1 farms. 5 villagers could either collect 60 wood each and gather 175 food in about 12 minutes, or they could gather 20 wood each to make a mill and then gather 180 food each from boars in about 8.4 minutes (0.9 to gather wood, 1.8 to walk to boars, 0.8 to shoot boars and walk to and from mill, 4.9 to gather food from boar).
Yeah, towering to stop a castle will only work if the opposing vil count is very low, and if you can build the tower close enough to range all sides of the castle. I think with vipers tower there that wasn't feasible.
I am always confused while you are holding so much back on giving feedback. I know they are solid players too and you want to let them play, but for example the spacing with the houses was such a huge factor. When that space came free. The game started turning. Ok you said it once, but surely they missed it. Is it that bad to say it 2nd time in friendly manner? They are surely happy with the feedback too?
He's not playing these games competitively. I don't think he wants to come off as "lording it over them". Besides that he might assume they were thinking the same thing after the game and didn't need someone else telling them.
Maybe you should check you shoulders after this game.. All this carrying... should be tough

"Boom shoot"
"Shoot boom"
"Big boom"
- this is the kind of high quality game commentary I came here for
you're not alone

I like how this guy is one of the best player in the world (if not the best) and still he makes SFX and "Boom" Noises, yelling "let's go!" like a 12 year old would do. lol Gaming keeps you young at heart i guess!
the failed boar lure was hilarious
That was a really interesting game. So many factors, very instructive.

oh man the urge of playing aoe2 again increases daily by watching your videos

Gray had no second to leave battlefield. That push at first half could sweep whole wing

Lol that would have made me rage through the whole dark age
It's like watching your mind going olympic, failing sometimes but still heading to your vision
Snek speaking boom was the best thing I watched today
Mr viper i usually dont comment on your gameplays but in this one
Man what a game, really fun!

viper's micro with siege is truly ridiculous. i'm glad he uses those skills for video game profession rather than something like a drone operator killing humans.
Go Viper!
You are truly inspiring bro. Saludos de MX. 🇲🇽 🤙🏻
Why is no one talking about the 5 in one bombard cannon boom?! 28:49
Those big bums, then they land really well, they are SO SATISFYING
Very interesting game … one of the best holds
i love seeing a long team game
Boom? Boom.
Would be a cool special tech that would allow villagers to shoot arrows against enemy units as well.
this is litterally 4v3 and come back win ! omg
That was the best one I have seen the last days.
Satisfying SO shots
history will write, in min 45BC , the mongol commander of right flank gave a motivational speech while doing parthian tactics and charged an army of genitours into the chinese flank.
Congratulations for your new leadership in ELO.
That was a really nice game !
MVP mangus
37:45 The precision of this second shot is crazy :)

Sheesh the hard carry you deliver on this game my dude wow i can just say WOW i think teal was just afk for like 10 mins 11
Mongol units are too strong!!! too fast!!! too good!!
Mongols so fucking strong in Black Forest, holy
crazy game. targeting trade line was +1
All those badabooms satisfy me, no wonder you got 1k units kill.

The sound in this game is truly weird. Confusing me also on BF many times!
excellent game, respect viper ! , greetings from turkey
Well you just gave up sent 6 vils instead of rage quit. This is half the map skill.
Mongol player telling everyone to delete houses...
Purple has the notice of he is being a father after this Game, u díd a son to him.
How did purple have so much gold? No wonder the player kept on spamming Trebuchets and Towers all game
Just always say "Yes this is live" to chat, then replay that again and again kappa
1 hour game LFG!!!!
game starts at 18:00
Nice carry vipi
Carry Viper
Couldnt purple just Tower the Castle and deny it?
How? They are behind the wall, tower isn't that strong that they could deny a castle, besides Viper's tower was still there.
Yeah, towering to stop a castle will only work if the opposing vil count is very low, and if you can build the tower close enough to range all sides of the castle. I think with vipers tower there that wasn't feasible.
Only siege is juste top hard to macro and four onager do the same job as twenty
th-cam.com/video/yQ3TluZdOF4/w-d-xo.html cant believe u didnt build that castle on the hill.....lol also no1 really went for the relics
Don't like "drill". One of the few things in AoC that make the game look worse/less realistic.
