binge watching all your erhu tutorials because im gonna start learning erhu since i ordered a suzhou beginner erhu and it would arrive next week. thank you for the tutorials!
Thank you for this exercise, my goal for this year is to learn shifting, but I always end up with the Woop_woop. I will practice this exercise. Question - when shifting do you rub the same finger on the string or switch fingers, or are you lifting the finger off the string?
We usually use the same finger to change the position, but sometimes use the second finger to change the position directly to the expected pitch:-) hope it helps:-)
If I place my fingers on the strings at all, it sounds like a dying animal. Do I need more or less pressure on my bow? Or do I need better finger placement?
When you place your finger on the strings you don’t need to add more pressure on your bow. Just to give a little more hard to press the string when you use your left fingers .
This video finally made shifting easier for me. Thank you so much!
THANK YOU!!!🌹🌹
