They spent some time in the AAC and I think they lost some exposure. With them now in the BE and just outside of the NYC market, they will again be considered a blue blood. Give me a St. John's / UConn BE Final and all that exposure will come their way.
No, we’re not a blue blood, we’re the College Basketball Capital of the world. You can keep the blue blood name in the incestuous south where it belongs
Props to San Diego on a great run but congrats to Uconn on a well deserved championship. They were by the far the best team in this year's dance. It was pretty much a wire to wire domination (aside from the 1st half vs Iona where they were trailing at halftime). That's 5 national titles for Uconn over the last 24 years, more than other traditional powerhouses like UNC (3), Duke (3), Kansas (2), and Kentucky (1) during that same period.

Early in the season, Coach Hurley obviously knew he had a talented team with potential and leading into January they rose out of nowhere, unranked, to a #2 ranking with an undefeated 14-0 record. He noticed the kids were getting tight, not loose like they were leading up to it. With the primary goal of a National Championship and not caring about the record and ranking; he semi-intentionally put his team in a position to lose 'some' games to get the bullseye off his back and ease off some of the pressure from the kids. Also at about that time, in discussing the season with his family and strategy meeting with his coaches etc., Coach Hurley had an epiphany in that, he realized that he did not actually want his team to go into the NCAA's with a #1 or even #2 seed and a near perfect record; that it would be too big of a bullseye and every single team would be bringing their A+ game to upset them; that the sweet spot for his team was a #3 or #4 seed; not really on the radar or below. It proved to be one of the genius tactical and strategic coaching moves of all time.

UConn, YOUR THE MAN !!! Talk about a WHOOPIN ! Talk about Dominance from start to finish ! Talk about this teams Chemistry ! Everyone stepped up to the plate ! Awesome Win ! Huge Win ! UCONN , you must be so proud of your team, they just brought you home another Championship ! How Awesome is that, doesn't get any better than that !
UConn, time to Celebrate, you earned this, you fought for this, you deserves this ! To the Beautiful state of Connecticut, time to Celebrate !
Congrats Huskies, Great Run Aztecs, from a Jayhawker
The most dominating tournament team of all time. An Incredible March madness for UCONN.
It was a 5pt game with 3mins to go. You obviously never watched UNLV, Duke, GTown, UNC, UCLA, AZ in past tournaments to make a comment that ignorant.
And yet they lost by 17.
@@gregoryreed8567 they won by double digit every time and destroyed gonzaga with a 30 pts differential
You’re forgetting 2017-2018 Villanova with Jalen Brunson Mikal bridges donte divencenzo eric paschal.
Who's here after UConn wins National Championship again.
Props to SD State for getting this far
Props to the refs. They got bailed out vs Creighton & FAU. Shouldve never even been in this game.
This UCONN team was an absolute BUZZSAW. I saw their potential early in the season...rode with em in my bracket :). Officially a "blue blood" program now too.
Congrats to both teams, UConn well deserved!!!!
As a UConn fan I’m hyped
Oh how i love college sports, so much more passion and intensity than pro sports
As an Aztecs fan im just happy we made the final
UConn crazy with their depth of the bench. Loaded with talent and it showed! Dominant all tourney long.
Sanogo and Hawkins were really good this game but Newton really helped them to He was amazing
Don't forget the refs. Gotta be nice when they put you in the bonus with 13 mins left then give you every call down the stretch to ensure -7 hits
@@lycheeznutsoh stop being salty SDSU got destroyed by 17 😂😂😂
As a Texas Longhorns fan I felt bad for San Diego State but I felt happy for UCONN!! And also I really loved That Purdue Lost to North Texas, Saint Peter’s, and Fairleigh Dickinson as double digits seeds for
3 years in a row!!
Thank you Jim for all the memories
We win!!!! Still EPIC TO WATCH AND RELIVE
The Big East is what it has been since it's formation in 1979; the BEST conference in the nation........Period!!!!!!🎤💧
They will never be as good as the era of ESPN's 30 for 30 but two Natty's since the revival is amazing. Now bring back Pitino and the Gtown / Providence rivalry, as well as Sean Miller and knowing Villanova isn't going anywhere, yes they are a force to be reckoned with.
@@chriscoccagna5917 How does your reply, change anything that I said?🤔
@@hawkeye6626 Maybe I interpreted your statement wrong. I just don't think this modern day BE is as good as the Ewing / Mullin / Boeheim / Carnesseca era.
@@chriscoccagna5917 Read my original post again and hopefully you will see why, your reply has nothing to do with what I'm talking about.

This game spoke volumes about the Big East. Best conference in college basketball right now.
The most DOMINANT team in March Madness history🤐🐺🟦🟥🏆!
2018 Villanova says hello
@@RickTaylor-uu7ek 2018 Villanova went +106, 2023 UCONN went +120
@@xxwill6xx576 2023 Huskies also dominated as a 4 seed.
2024 Uconn... hold my apple juice
San Diego wow what a great season you guys had this is why I love college basketball winner take all any body can reach for the top
Truly an insane March Madness.
Congrats to UConn on their 5th National Championship. Well deserved. Also, congrats to SDSU on a great season and tournament run.
That looked like a Big East flashback! TCB Well Done.
This UConn team has to be one of the best college teams of all time
Uconn baby 💪💯 Connecticut in the building... Hartford 860
I almost screamed when j hawk hit that 3 late in the game, that one definitely sealed the deal, amazing game
Crazy chemistry dominate win
Glad the most deserving team won. Good for UConn 🎉
Dan Hurleys son spiking the ball in the last second of the game is probably one of the greatest moments in sports history
Certainly one of the moments

Please
th-cam.com/video/hGf-NjFUnF4/w-d-xo.html This was an insane comeback!!!
Not really they got saved by the refs. How can you not win when you playing 8v5 ?!
after the UConn vs. Gonzaga game, I knew UConn would go all the way. What a dominant team
Both these teams played with unbelievable skill and heart. What standup young men. They should be proud to be icons and leaders of the communities they represent and that says a lot nowadays. Good job guys. Thanks for giving us all a great night and an exciting tournament. 🤙🤙💪
720p from the main youtube channel? what is this 2008?
Lets go UConn..🎉🎉🎉
Congratulations to the UCONN Huskies! Well done!
Their whole 10 man rotation can play. Deepest team by far. How were they a 4 seed? 😂
They lost 8 games. Guess it took them a while to figure it all out but they eventually did.
I'm a UConn fan, but there was a stretch during the season where we went 2-6, so I can understand the seeding, but a lot of people forget that we were 14-0 to start the season and finished undefeated in non-conference play.
@@TheKingOfAmalek wow you were rooting all season! What changed after that stretch of losses?
@@TheKingOfAmalek As a 'Nova fan, I am happy to see UConn win it all and once again put the Big East back on top and show why it's the best conference in college basketball, you guys were by far the best team in this tournament
@@stevenseelig945 UConn fan here, but when I was a kid 20 something years ago I had every Big East banner hanging on the wall of my bedroom.
Some really sick plays by UConn! Well-deserved win.
Been a Husky fan since mid 90's. Watched them grow from a NIT bid every year to 5 🏆 now. There's been only 1 team to win both the men's and woman's championship in the same year, and as you guessed it's UCONN (and we did it twice). I'm so happy the big east is becoming what it was. Pitino to St. John's is huge.
So proud of my Huskies!!! Back to our winning ways. Long time CT native here. I bet campus was a raging party lol, used to go back in the day when we was winning yr after yr. Wild times. CONGRATS!
Welcome back to the promise lands UCONN
Sanogo's put back at 7:15 and Hawkins' jumper at 5:04 were the true daggers for the Aztecs🗡️🗡️🫀
Can’t wait for Purdue to get 20 balled
Who's here for the rematch.
Still don’t understand why UConn isn’t considered a blue blood but never the less they showed that they can represent themselves as one. Good game congrats UConn
Maybe because the Hurley’s are the most classless family in college bball?
They are definitely a blue blood now. But I've considered them a blue blood since 2014...
They spent some time in the AAC and I think they lost some exposure. With them now in the BE and just outside of the NYC market, they will again be considered a blue blood. Give me a St. John's / UConn BE Final and all that exposure will come their way.
@@chriscoccagna5917 How long were they in the AAC before going back to the Big East?
Duke has 3. 2001, 2010, 2015.
@@ryan9099to be fair, no one cares about duke anyway
@@vulcanraven9701 accuracy still matters tho
Can we get a 1080p version at least pls
7:00 Not only the biggest shot of the game, but of Jordan Hawkins' career. San Diego State was making a comeback, and that three completely turned the tide and gave UConn their momentum back. As soon as that three went in I knew the game was over.
No it was all of these ghost foul calls it was literally insane refs wanted to make sure sports books were happy that's for sure
@@PoKeDoN1992 Keep those Aztec tears flowing. You guys got destroyed buddy.
@@PoKeDoN1992 you realize that the public was riding UConn right? If Vegas was making an influence they would have tried to make UConn lose lol. Idiot.

Boo boo cry me a River. Bet you eat sour patch kids for breakfast
Congratulations! Your team had excellent ball movement, solid defense, and fantastic shooting. Well balanced and now the champions.
Fantastic game! Loved the style of play from both teams. Two pointers baby!!
both teams are really fundamentally sound, not flashy, which im not opposed to flashly, but both teams know how to hoop, like actually play basketball, quick 3 dribble moves, very simple but effective, just good fundamentals, its pure
Great analysis. I enjoyed watching the game for the half court sets and UConn's interior defense.
@@chriscoccagna5917 same, and that’s how most basketball is played at the league level. A lot of pull up jumpers, short and efficient, straight to it
I think everyone knew UCONN was destined for this but, so cool to see a smaller school like SDSU make the finals. They should be extremely proud of themselves 🤙🏼
