I really liked track #6 My Angel. Its melody and presentation has a touch of "soul" from the soul genre. It's a song I could imagine Michael Bolton singing in the 90s.
Yes, phenomenal album indeed, but I vote "My angel" as the true killer song; a very devastating tearful ballad like few. The band is wonderful near the perfection, if only I could suggest an improvement I see Rolf Nordström as a very good rithm guitarist, but if they would add a top level lead guitar player this would be the #1 AOR band of the decade, with almost no competitors. However great, congratulations.
I'm a straight metal head for years but recently I've been hearing incredible melodic, tough riffs, and chord progressions from AOR been missing out tbh, Its just as good it's the fine line between metal and rock this right here
Fair criticisms in the comments, skipping through the album and yeah, they all have the same sound, especially the vocalist. I know if you do one thing, do it well and they're nailing that one specific sound without a doubt. But it does mean that each song sounds the same as the last, even the ballad, when everything is in the same register for the whole album. On their own, each song is fantastic. But back to back, you could zone out and never notice when the songs change
