  • December is always full of family traditions in our home. December 1st started off on the right track with a big snow storm. We got to decorate our tree while it looked like winter outside. This year we granted the girls wish with a Pink Tree like in Pinkalicious. It was the highlight of the season! We put the pink tree upstairs so the girls could see if every morning when they woke up. They decorated it with all the colorful ornaments and mama got to have her pretty classic tree.
This was the first year we visited Meridian’s Scentsy Commons Christmas lights display. It was huge and VERY cold that night.
We also made gluten free gingerbread cookies from Making Thyme for Health which are our favorite!

On Christmas Eve Gigi and Mark came to visit, bringing lots of gifts for the girls with them. We spent the afternoon decorating PINK gingerbread houses which were much harder to construct than we originally thought. Despite the building challenges the girls had a blast. After dinner we walked to Candy Cane Lane house and enjoyed all the lights.
Christmas morning is always so special with the girls opening their presents and we made peppermint hot chocolate. Mimi & Papa came over later for more presents, a walk in the neighborhood, and a delicious dinner of lasagna.
The next morning we headed to Garden Valley and took the girls to Terrace Lakes for some swimming. Camryn was towed along in the side by side and on Christmas Eve the girls both had their first
ski lessons at Tamarak Resort. We rang in the new year with fire works.
