Sir EMF is work done per unit charge inside the battery,But when the circuit is open it means the charges inside the battery is not moving.. It means their is no work than why we discuss EMF in the battery...?? Waiting for answer please sir Thank you

It is also for closed circuit but humein e.m.f ki max potential value open circuit mein multi to I guess sir said it is only for open circuit because my sir got us write down three conditions for e.m.f. ○open circuit ○closed circuit (jis mein e.mf ziada hota potential difference se) ○when a a small battery is being charged by a bigger one (charging) jis mein e.m.f voltage se kam hota
