I was diagnosed with T4 bladder cancer on October 5th 2018 and given 1.5 years to live. I said NO to chemotherapy and radiation treatments as well as major surgery, I chose a cannabis treatment ( Rick Simpson oil) and I'm still here today going on six years now.
So sad I really believed he was going to beat the cancer. He was so courageous and made it almost 3 years after being diagnosed. So I felt like he could have beat the odds. Lost half his body weight and he still fought hard. So not only is he one of my all time favorite country singers but how he fought cancer made him a hero to me. RIP Big Dog.
Cancer is a real devastator.... It tends to come back in waves even if u survive the first wave, odds are the 2nd or 3rd will get ya... Not everyone but a lot of people it does.
In the real world, nobody 'beats' cancer. If strength alone could do it, Toby would still be here. No, you either catch it early, and it responds to treatment, or you don't...
The photos of Tony shortly before his passing were utterly heartbreaking. He was always healthy looking but to see how cancer ravaged him brings me to tears. I have been a Toby Keith fan from the beginning. RIP brother, see you on the other side I hope
Maybe it was more about how the radiation and chemo ravaged him. I found it very sad to see him in that condition as well. He reminded me of what my stepfather looked like when he was going through treatment for lung cancer. May they both rest in peace.
Of the four deployments to Iraq I was on, I managed to see Toby Keith twice! That was not easy to do. The logistics of getting my butt to the two different locations was hard. It was more than worth it. I spent 28yrs in the Army, infantry. Toby Keith appreciated the guys at the tip of the spear doing the nasty work. I never met a soldier, NCO, or officer that did not love Toby Keith. Every single time I hear that song The Red White and Blue, the tears come on. I love America, the flag, but I don't love our government much. Toby got that, he understood. He will be missed.
@@nsav8 Thank you. Also, I appreciate that you see the country is on a highway to hell if we do not get it un-screwed quickly. I have met SO many people across this land, decent, hard working people, and to a person, what do they want? They want to leave a better chance at prosperity to their kids, their grandkids, than they had. I do not want that light of, the hope of, the American dream going out in the next generation. God bless you, and God bless this nation.
Toby was my absolute favorite country artist. Hearing about his death hurt me so bad. Every time I do shots, I take one in remembrance of him. Rest in Peace you absolute legend. We will always remember you.
Thank u for posting this. Grew up a huge fan of Toby’s and His music.looked up to him. Still heartbroken knowing he’s not here with us. His legacy His music His spirit will live on Rest in peace TK we love you big dawg
Thanks Brett for sharing this with us all! We will miss you Toby Keith 🙏🏼💔😭 Toby was an incredible song writer and country music artist! He loved his family, God, USA Military and veterans and he LOVED Oklahoma 🩵 He was a warrior! He was an inspiration to me. I’m fighting stage 3 OC and I agree the chemo seems to be worse than the cancer! It’s a double edged sword 😢 God bless Toby’s wife, kids and family 🙏🏼✝️ my husband has been my rock ❤️
I used to hate on #4 for beating up on my Lions year after year. I've since come to like the guy and really love the way he played the game. He had fun dong it and I like Brett Favre to this day. Anyone who talks $hit on him on a post like this is a turd.
I guess we will never know if the chemo helped or hurt Toby!? I know from personal experience, the chemo is just as bad as or worse than the cancer. Anyone out there god for bid, look into the Cancer diet. I wish I had talked my mother into it. God bless everyone out there dealing with this HORRIBLE disease.
I agree with you. Lost my husband of 32 yrs in 2010 from stage 4 lung cancer. Cancer shows no favoritism. It hits everyone. The young, old, babies, children, animals etc. our german shepherd survived it and so did I. I now live with “survivors’s guilt.” Cancer really sucks. 😔💔
my wife had chemo she was diagnosed with kidney cancer, living with only one kidney, she lived a little longer but the chemo was bad on her heart and thats what eventually took her life, her heart quit working.
Cancer treatments have come a long way. I remember relatives in the 80s and 90s that had chemo and died anyway. I used to say I would never get it. But in the last 10-15 years, I've had 3 people I care about that had treatments with minimal side effects and are still alive today and wouldn't be without the treatments. But when it's your time, it's your time and some things are more powerful than cancer or cancer drugs.
toby was a class act. i lived in moore, ok for about a decade, and the okc-area boasts some incredible talent, but if you lived in the sw okc area you heard plenty of stories - just word-of-mouth stuff - that he did that didn't get publicized. the world just feels a little empty with him gone. i have nothing but respect and appreciation for toby, his family, and all those who surrounded him & were able to give him a peaceful, quiet send-off to whatever's next. Rest In Peace, Toby. i hope tricia & his family & friends know how deeply his music will touch so many of us for the rest of OUR lives. God Bless.
My dad went threw chemo he passed away aswell and to gear toby say he hoped he quit the chemo in time just crushed me it does so much damage just like he said
I've had family and my wife's family go through cancer and I can tell you that some of them that went through chemo and it just ate them alive. My mother in law was nothing but skin and bones and spent her last time in bed. My wife has already told me that she won't go the same way, and now that my son is getting towards being an adult, I don't imagine I would do it either. I've seen people go through it and die a hollowed out tired shell, I would rather go out being able to do what I can till the end then drag it out only to be a burden to others.
prayers for the keith family.... he is in pain NO MORE i know your missing him, he's ok now. i was diagnosed with prostate cancer, the urologist gave me 3 choices....operate,take out the prostate or FREEZE it,i choice freezing it, because i had seen what chemo,or taking it out had done, to people, i tried a different procedure and for that im here today and winning my battle! i get my blood work done every 3 to 6 months and prostate checked yearly it has been 5 yrs and im winning i encourage every male to get their prostate checked yearly, thru catching it early and treating it im still on this earth. Reading the comments, and Toby's concerns about chemotherapy, it seems that the real solution to this issue will not come from the medical profession, rather it will come from the general public (The people).
@@KevinMphotography I take it that you are upset that I'm a surviver, and that the treatment God the Father told me to use is far better than anything man could choose. Thanks for sharing ❤ I spoke to him the night he passed and he had been upset over some posts he saw on FB that would mislead his family and fans about him that imposters had posted with his pictures it was heart wrenching for him because he didn’t know why his fans thought he was the imposter when he tried effortlessly to speak to them. He asked why I was the only person that believed him. I thank God that I had 3 months of the best conversations with Toby and he poured out his ❤️ Heart …I’m very disheartening 💔💔💔
My question is where the hell did he get this cancer from. A few sites mentioned it was like pyo. An infection. I know the doctors stated that it was a very aggressive cancer. Before becoming a country singer, he worked in the oil fields. Could it have come from there? I am a vegetarian, but I do know he was a hunter. Could have been from the animals he consumed? My God! The way he just wasted away was very sad to see. He kept going though until the bitter end. It's hard to say if chemo and radition was the answer. I have a friend that was administered the HIPEC Chemo. He had it right after the surgery was done, 12 hour surgery. Many organs removed. Most of the colon and liver. All of the stomach and spleen. Maybe he should have gotten a second or even third opinion. I know it doesn't matter now, but something we can all learn from his terrible and most likely painful experience. RIP Toby Keith. I have been talking to your spirit over the last week.
First, we’ll miss Toby. But, spare me Brett’s take..He prob asked for a $5million loan to pay back the ripoff to build his daughter’s school a field house. Great football player; but a scrub as a citizen.
He left this world on his terms! He is playing with the angels now! We, America loved Toby!!🇺🇸❤️✝️

Sometimes I feel the treatments kill faster than the cancer itself. Radiation and chemo is very harsh.
This is so good
Awesome. I hope you are here many many more years to come.
