It's a double pound sign. There was no such thing as a "hashtag" when the pound sign, also known as an "octothorpe" was added to math notation in the 14th century. It isn't a hashtag on your telephone key pad. In any type math or independent notation, it's a pound sign. The term hashtag was an advent for Twitter You aren't tweeting or identifying a group when you simply add the notation to your board. 😀
Unfortunately, I do know proportedly educated people who don't know what a pound sign is or that it existed before twitter. Did they think we were tweeting on our telephones?? 😉
For that matter, same goes for the "X" notation when referring to the power of a lens, as for a scope or in math. Something notated as "10x" when relating to magnification meats to the tenth power, not "times."
Sorry, just a pet peave that finally had to erupt and, it just happen to be here. LOL
Is it earth shattering to call it a hashtag all of the time? Of course not. Just know the difference, that there even *is* a difference. Keep the premise of the English language intact. And quit ending your sentences in prepositions. ;) That's where it is, not where "it's at" (it is at). Hahaha
    A 25x scope is not a 25 "ex" scope but, a "25 power" scope! 😀

For being such a grammarian, you included a number of typos...

Add fat fingers and auto-correct to a midnight rant... 😆
I think I fixed the worst offenders.
