Knobs' videos are hands down the best demo material online. Thank you for putting synth samples at the end. One of my favorite parts of your video is that you cover more than just guitar usability.
PEDAL FILES these demos are really well done. The only thing that I have trouble getting around is; the playing is very unique and it’s hard sometimes to distinguish whether or not it’s the pedal or the player lol. It would be nice to see the guitar as it’s played.
George McFarlane yeah, it really sounds like they're there in the living room with you, freaking out on the feedback while you're getting a bowl of cereal. It's really fun to listen to and imagine what I would do if I had this pedal.
Knobs I just discovered you. I feel like I am lost in the BBC Radiophonic Workshop when I listen to your demos. I for one welcome my new pedal overlord.
bbbwwwwwhahhaaha... if space aliens scouted the Earth and came upon this TH-cam channel they likely would give us a pass on an invasion because Knobs produces such cool music...
I saw it here. Bought it online. Just got it in the mail. And now I'm in love. Thanks for this. Also bought a Novation MonoStation because of your videos.
As always, a more eccentric use of a pedal. This definitely functions awseomely as a fully featured analog delay. Knobs demonstrates how to go weird if you want :)
I bought a rubberneck 2 years ago solely cuz of this vid. It's my favorite of all the delays I've ever touched, and I've convinced about a dozen peeps to get one cuz of that. Much love scott 👍
Jeez. You make every pedal sound and appear so fun. Every video of yours that I watch just makes me want to purchase the pedal/device. Hope you're getting sponsorship money or gear. So pleased to have found your channel.
Use to have one a couple years back but sold it when I was broke. Now my partner let it slip that she's getting me a new one for my birthday next month!!! Cant wait! This next to my Carbon Copy is going to be amazing!!!
I ordered mine through Sam Ash. It just arrived in time for my birthday this weekend! I'm really excited about playing around with it tonight! Exellent demo!
After some extensive investigation, I don’t find a better analog delay for the money. Price has come down to $199 new. Looking at other analog delays with modulation.....most can’t approach 1500ms delay times, or lack other features of the Rubberneck. Other options include: EHX DMM TT (costs more, no Rubber or fx loop), Seymour Duncan Vapor Trail (prolly closest contender but lacks divisions and tone), and MXR CC Dx (dark, costs more, lacks fx loop). I think this one is a buy for me.
I have this pedal and it sounds awesome, especially the modulation. My only gripe is that there isn’t a mix knob. There is a full wet switch, but a mix knob, especially with an expression pedal control capability, would make this thing the best analog delay out there, in my opinion. Either way, this thing is really underrated.
@@victhestick93 no, level just turns up the delay signal, it doesn't turn down the dry signal when you get past 12 o'clock, that's why there's the switch for wet only. At least, that's how my unit works. For most people that doesn't matter, but the way I use 1 of my delay pedals, I need that feature, so the deluxe memory boy fills that role. If this one did have that, I would use it in a heart beat over the DMB.
Yeah that's a cool setting. It wasn't explained in the video, but if you use a very short delay time and high feedback, it won't oscillate. Until you use the rubberneck to slow it down. And then in swoops the ominous.
I bought this pedal last week and now there's a Knobs video: as close to feeling religious as I can get without LSD. It's an analog delay with a wealth of features and retails for less than a Carbon Copy.
Ant Thomas: I live in Santiago, Chile, the Rubberneck was CLP 129k here, $214. The Carbon Copy goes (here) for 139k. Boss MD-2w and Ibanez ADmini are considerably cheaper, around CLP 100k. www.audiomusica.com/catalogo/pedal-de-efecto-delay-analogo-rubberneck-v-00.html overdrive.cl/producto/mxr-m-169-carbon-copy-analog-delay/
Slight nuance: the delay knob goes to 1s. You can only get to 1-1.5 seconds through tap tempo. You did great getting like 3 features a minute to get this video under 7 mins though. This pedal is full of tricks and sounds great.
The first pedal I ever bought was a DOD phaser pedal. At the time, they were a poor mans alternative to BOSS. Glad to see they are putting out some weird shit.
Great demo 😀 Can I ask how you make those glitchy little phrases??? Are you just playing them - or using something to slice and dice? Thanks! I feel like I need to get one of these Rubbernecks now...
Bought this a few months ago. I mean i am not into crazy sounds i just use this for very normal space rock and post metal with just a touch of modulation. Ratio dipswitch changes time instantly, Regen giving perfect endless feedback, love it. I don't even use the rubbernecking function that much but i'm selling my Moog MF-Delay now, the Rubberneck is all i need.
Great demo! I would like to know if is it possible to create a constant pad/layer without volume increase when I keep pressed regen knob. Is it possible?
Hello, how do you get this muted sound (2:31) on an electric guitar ? Can you achieve it only using palm mute ? Because it doesn't work for me lol Can someone help me ? Thanks :)
I've been trying to figure out what you use to get so much 4khz+ detail in your signal without an excess of noise. Knowing the noise isn't an issue, it leaves me to think it's not EQ. What pickups are you using, if you don't mind sharing, and what value volume pot/tone pot are you using? The detail makes me so happy.
Lawrence, here's what I can tell you: the guitar is a Danelectro Dead on '67 with lipstick pick-ups. No special EQ (no EQ at all). Fender Blues Jr. Make yourself happy!
My wheelhouse is blues and rock, but I get lost in your demos every time. Extremely unique and original. You are quite talented dude. I’m sure you’ve answered this before but what guitar/amp do you use for your clean tone?
I bought the rubberneck after this vid finally convinced me...aaaand what a waste of money that was....not really, I LOVE the rubberneck, it really IS an “era selector” haha! Mr Knobs (or Mrs Knobs) I would like to ask 2 questions. 1) Were you making an album of music? A while back I thought you might have been - if so, any news on progress? I’d love to hear more of your tunes. 2) (more of a statement) If you made a longer film or documentary, i’d watch that sucker in a heartbeat!! Thanks in advance!
Hey man, I'm looking for a portable (battery powered option) stereo delay pedal to use portably with a digital piano to make it sound like an acoustic piano being played outside. Any suggestions?
Every single video on this pedal has made me want it, but it's not been truly demoed until there's a Knobs video on it. I'm sold.
idk man i feel a pedal hasnt really had its potential displayed until blues riffs are played on every setting
Freq Out in the fx loop is absolutely gorgeous
FreqOut is definitely a secret weapon

For musicians who care about these things
Really?
no one has made me more interested in (usually) small pedal companies than knobs
I always love the clean tones in knobs videos 😁
bbbwwwwwhahhaaha... if space aliens scouted the Earth and came upon this TH-cam channel they likely would give us a pass on an invasion because Knobs produces such cool music...
the freq out in the insert sounds incredible!!
I never thought a pedal demo vid would put me in a state of relaxation...
Would you just look at how grimy that table is getting? Geeeeeze
feetprints
Bought this last week from Proaudiostar in NY for $120. Well worth the money.
@Knobs can you make a tutorial showing us how to play your guitar style, it’s so cool, interesting, and calm.
I saw it here. Bought it online. Just got it in the mail. And now I'm in love. Thanks for this. Also bought a Novation MonoStation because of your videos.
Never thought I'd see a DOD demo here. Nice.
As always, a more eccentric use of a pedal. This definitely functions awseomely as a fully featured analog delay. Knobs demonstrates how to go weird if you want :)
Knobs videos we watch in fullscreen.
This really encouraged me to buy one of these, and they are absolutely stellar analog delays. Thank you!
I bought a rubberneck 2 years ago solely cuz of this vid. It's my favorite of all the delays I've ever touched, and I've convinced about a dozen peeps to get one cuz of that. Much love scott 👍
Man I love the slight hiss that comes with the repeats! Same thing that made me love the Julia
This and Julia are my two favorite pedals even in 2020.
Jeez. You make every pedal sound and appear so fun. Every video of yours that I watch just makes me want to purchase the pedal/device. Hope you're getting sponsorship money or gear. So pleased to have found your channel.
The best youtube channel about pedals, because it's 100% pedals.
A true cataloging of all the features in less than 7 minutes, thanks knobby
Use to have one a couple years back but sold it when I was broke. Now my partner let it slip that she's getting me a new one for my birthday next month!!! Cant wait! This next to my Carbon Copy is going to be amazing!!!
"You know everything now" And I am cursed with this knowledge
I ordered mine through Sam Ash. It just arrived in time for my birthday this weekend! I'm really excited about playing around with it tonight! Exellent demo!

For me too
Proaudiostar in NY selling them for $120, free shipping, and I got mine in two days (Midwest).
Yeesssss!! I love this pedal, thanks for doing a video on it!
aaaahhhhh the outward processing those repeats 😚👌👌👌
I am simple man. I see Knobs, I click Like.
sometimes, I watch the videos on mute. That's how lovely they are.
No way
Nick C Totally. I bought all my Elektron gear because of knobbs
The aesthetic is every bit as good as the music. Such beautiful framing and colouring.
This made me feel like a kid again. I don’t know why and I can’t explain it. But thank you
Wtf is ur pfp lmao
you should put these lil jam sessions on bandcamp or somethin, love listening to these so much
We have a Patreon! There's a link in the description
This is now my favorite delay pedal for bass solos. By a mile. Thank you Knobs.
I have this pedal and it sounds awesome, especially the modulation. My only gripe is that there isn’t a mix knob. There is a full wet switch, but a mix knob, especially with an expression pedal control capability, would make this thing the best analog delay out there, in my opinion. isnt the level knob in there in that capacity?
Yeah it is. Level is wet/dry mix.

Fingerbobs of the youtube pedal world. Superb....best demo's on TH-cam.
Every single video is so well made
Great demo. I've just acquired one of these and this video has helped me unlock its secrets
your videos always make me smile. thank you.
Beautiful! Always love your vids, Knobs!
you make me so happy
Knobs = something gear review and relaxing session. Love it!
This pedal is lovely. I bought it and I am loving it.
Hell yeah, this pedal is actually way cooler than I could have imagined!
That ominous sound that comes in at 1:28 gave me tingles
Yeah that's a cool setting. It wasn't explained in the video, but if you use a very short delay time and high feedback, it won't oscillate. Until you use the rubberneck to slow it down. And then in swoops the ominous.
Very nice demo, clear and informative.
can't start my day without watching one of your vids
I bought this pedal last week and now there's a Knobs video: as close to feeling religious as I can get without LSD.
It's an analog delay with a wealth of features and retails for less than a Carbon Copy.
Caesar Tjalbo where did you find it for less than a carbon copy? Every where I've seen its at least $200.

This is so relaxing.
If knobs reviews it, it's worth buying
Yesterday I was browsing for a pedal like this, very pretty and wacky and then I wake up and find this, you are the best
We got u
Your channel is a threat to my bank balance
I don't bother to RTFM, I just find Knobs' vid and have at it. So, yeah, I'm loving my Rubberneck even more now.
Knobs always making awesome content. :)
Fantastic pedal
This is my favourite gizmo
good work Knobsy
like the negative vibe this gives it all. would love to hear some nice spring reverb behind it.
Oof! This is the delay pedal I have been searching for!!
Slight nuance: the delay knob goes to 1s. You can only get to 1-1.5 seconds through tap tempo. You did great getting like 3 features a minute to get this video under 7 mins though. This pedal is full of tricks and sounds great.
Love these videos. Simple, clear and informative. Thankyou.
Well after watching this twice. The Big Sky was on my 'Wish List' but buy, really list), this shot to No. 1 on my 'Buy Now List'.
purchased both of them lately.
I'm broke but I'm happy
I don't know anything about this kind of thing but gosh it's nice to listen to and watch.
*OUTTA MY WAY, GOTTA POOP!*
Nice lofi noise from those chips
If you are trying to get rid of extra cash, this channel is great inspiration! 😅
The first pedal I ever bought was a DOD phaser pedal. At the time, they were a poor mans alternative to BOSS. Glad to see they are putting out some weird shit.
Nice! Thinking about swapping the ole dd20 for this
1:50 eric nyffeler represent!
Seems similar to the Pladask Taken, very cool!
Knobs is a genre
Ok I seriously underestimated this pedal 😱
You. You complete me.
Knobs, you could sooth a bereft child. Or puppy
Good stuff
**hugs Knobs**
Nice.

Wes Anderson of pedal reviews.
P.S. I'd love to know what amp your using if one at all.
Knobs uses a blues jr usually
I wanna see you demo the digitech whammy
well aware that the internet is a game of stylistic catch-up but no effect tutorial fascimile has the panache of Knobs.
Beautiful delays, but so much static noise on the repeats :-O ... and I though my memory toy was noisy!
I have a DMM 1100-TT and it’s also hella noisy with time above noon... I find it really annoying
There is a built-in gain for the decay which I believe you could turn down if you want it clean
Got me to buy one√
( $50 off right now at SweetWater! [ No April foolin' ] )
Still going strong!
I love this box!!! :D
Rate/Bate graphic sounds completely different
Great demo! I would like to know if is it possible to create a constant pad/layer without volume increase when I keep pressed regen knob. Is it possible?
Which font do you use in this video? :) btw best pedal demos, maybe a little bit too good because i want to buy everything^^
Super cool and weird delay
Hello, how do you get this muted sound (2:31) on an electric guitar ? Can you achieve it only using palm mute ? Because it doesn't work for me lol
Can someone help me ?
Thanks :)
Still on high from the EchoSystem. Don't know if you can top yourself with that delay Knobs.
agree. ecosystem is amazing indeed....but the send/return option on this one is sweet too.
Which is available on the echo system
sold !
Nice demo! When you say the pedal likes synths (in your videos),does it mean it is line level input friendly? Thx
Any news on the album? (:
^^^
Definitely this year! Just crawling along
This pedal seems awesome. Am I hearing a bit of white noise on the repeats?
yes you are...
👀
Please do a video about your guitar!!!

What are you powering this with?
I’m hearing a lot of hiss from this pedal especially in the longer delay settings...anyone else?
My wheelhouse is blues and rock, but I get lost in your demos every time. Extremely unique and original. You are quite talented dude. I’m sure you’ve answered this before but what guitar/amp do you use for your clean tone?
Delays sound great but noisy as hell is that how this pedal is? Recommend me a cleaner one if so please 🙏
Its analog
I bought the rubberneck after this vid finally convinced me...aaaand what a waste of money that was....not really, I LOVE the rubberneck, it really IS an “era selector” haha!

How do you get the sound in the video intro? It's awesome!
Hey, how does this compare against the Meet Maude?
Hey man, I'm looking for a portable (battery powered option) stereo delay pedal to use portably with a digital piano to make it sound like an acoustic piano being played outside. Any suggestions?
