Saying Worthy was better than Jordan in NC is like saying Chris Douglas Roberts was better than Derrick Rose in Memphis. Just cuz a guy gets more touches doesn't necessarily make him better back then no matter who u were u had to earn your role no matter how talented u were especially then cuz it wasn't many if any scoring Shooting guards with championship success in college or the nba. And they brought up stats like college is a 48 min game. 8 less minutes changes everything especially stats.

Derrick Rose was a freshmen under Calipari a guy notorious for giving freshmen the wheel. Also CDR in Memphis was better, Rose had a better legacy in the pros.
This is a dumb debate. It is a perfect example of drawing conclusions without knowing anything about context and circumstances in which they occur.
Worthy said out of his own mouth that he was the best player on that UNC for only about 2 weeks after Mike arrived at UNC. Anyone who has actually played ball knows the most talent player might not the featured offensive option on a team.
Worthy was an accomplished, elder player. And he was a big in what was still very much a big man's game, especially at the collegiate level. And he was the best player from a UNC squad that just the prior year had played in an NCAA title game, losing to Isiah Thomas and Indiana.
So even though Mike was a superior basketball talent, in 1981 you are going to structure that team to feature Worthy.
Basically a bunch of people trying to discredit MJ, it's not a worthwhile discussion.
