Leave any suggestions you have and whatnot, I'm open to them all. Next vid I have upcoming, at least most complete is something Flatout related. I think you guys *might* enjoy it but I can't be sure. I remember enjoying Burnout 1 a lot when I've played and beaten it. It feels like a simple arcade game with an emphasis on difficulty and short length that makes it quite fun, even if it is a bit generic, and I like that it's short since starting with 3, Burnout games start getting repetitive for me even if 3 is mechanically really nice. One thing I really liked in 1 is how in the penultimate race, I kept screwing up at the end, but then I've had a genius idea - since there's always so much traffic right before the finish line, what if I just suddenly start following traffic rules and went very slowly. Then I see a bus and watch as the opponents crash into it at insane speeds, which allowed me to win the race right afterwards. I don't know if this is just an accident that was caused by that system you mentioned Burnout 1 having or actually intentional, but it was extremely memorable.
Burnout 2 was a great game. Burnout 2, 3 and Revenge are still my top favorites of the series to this day. They were apart of my childhood in the 2000s. Burnout 2 and 3 has the best musical scores to my tastes. And the Police chase gamemode- nostalgia. Especially being able to race in any car you unlocked after beating challenges.. Awesome. Burnout 2 was way better than it's debut title.
For sure, it really sets the tone for the following titles even if everyone likes to act like B3 is what truly defines the series. Burnout 2 is still Burnout at the core but it's the first game done better in every way.
Burnout 2 was a breath of fresh air after burnout 1, better controls, overall easier. I had as much fun as I did with burnout 3 to be honest. And I like how this game has 2 different soundtracks like burnout 1, but for different reasons. Tying the music to the boost was honestly really cool and I think they might have been going for that originally for burnout 3, because of 16 Years On and Another World and the fact that they sound way to similar besides a few instrument differences

@@racedriver43 Which Is Better Revenge On PS2 Or Revenge On 360? I Pick Both Of Them At The Same Time For 2 Reasons: 1. I've only played the Burnout games under emulation and they don't run at full speed on my system. They feel decent when I'm playing them, especially the first two games, but I can tell that they should be faster. That said, I was never that crazy about the first Burnout. I've played it a few times and only managed to beat the first track once or twice. Most of the time, the computer leaves me in the dust at the start of the race and I spend the rest of the race just trying to catch up. It seems that no matter what car I pick, or how well I drive, my car just has trouble catching up to them. Near misses are ridiculously hard to get in order to earn boost, and as said in the video, it crashes at the drop of a hat. One time, the lead computer car crashed at an intersection and I perfectly drove between two crashed buses, not touching either, but the game still said I crashed. All I can figure is that driving over debris counts as a crash. I enjoyed Burnout 2 much more. Boost was easier to earn, and for the most part, it felt much more fair. Although, the last police pursuit is insanely difficult, and that winter track is painfully hard. In the last grand prix, that was the only track I couldn't get first place on. I finished the game missing one gold medal because of it, and haven't yet had the ambition to try it again with a different car,
Burnout 2 is my favorite from the series. It is about skill more than about crashing and the way how the music gets more exciting when i am using Burnout chains is addictive. Crystal Summit is my favorite. I also love how the game has a dynamic weather and each track has its own unique vibe.
I disagree with the stuff you said about Crystal Summit at 4:30. At first the track can be extremely difficult and frustrating, but once you really get the handling down you can do the entire race without touching the walls (and boosting the entire time), but I've only ever done it with the super car (which is the only car I ever use in Burnout 2 because it has the best stats).
I like b2 because of the designs and updated boost chaining, but I like b1 more because you can actually feel weight when you shunt your rivals, you can almost play it like b3 by ramming them into traffic, its alot more satisfying than b2, but the games lack content and variety like you said, which is a bit expected due to how primitive these games were

when it boils down to racing, 2 easily stomps the shit out of b3, the self-competitiveness to keep the chain going makes for a thrill without the necessity of ai to make the whole race enjoyable b3 does it in such a painfully casual way you never really compete with yourself, and when the ai struggle to keep up, what's the fun then? not enough traffic to keep you on your toes either

The peak of the gaming experience is doing the American marathon race with the city bus in Burnout 1.
you're completely mistaken, it's harbor town in the bus with a nonstop burnout chain
