- Surprise! Gary Young has been on Odyssey for twenty years now, and so we wanted to create something special to celebrate the man. We even managed to keep it a secret from him until now! I’m glad I had the privilege to met him in person in 2016 at the Kevin Peraza invitational in Mexico City.

Amazing rider and what a great idea for a video. Hopefully he didn't know about it beforehand and gets to see all his peers/mentors/friends showing the love for him as a surprise.
The more you see this video piece the crazier the idea of someone doing what Gary is pulling off, flawlessly, is.
I rode the foampit at Point X with Gary in 2003 and he had the goofiest helmet that was padded out with a dish towel, but he was KILLING IT on a bike. He was one of the nicest guys I've ever met and was sooo humble on that DBI frame. I am so grateful that you're still at it and killing it better than ever, Gary.
Gary young is one of the best riders ever . Its insane the level he still rides at while being a full time dad and family man , working at Claremont skatepark and being a full time pro bike rider for 3 legacy bmx companies in Sunday, odyssey, and vans,

Most BMX riders don't last decades in the industry for several reasons but the biggest usually being injuries and the cost of surgery as most can't afford it(If not a big pro like Gary) You won't last if your body doesn't and Gary takes incredible good care of himself, works out and eats well. Alot of guys kinda 1/2 ass stuff but not him, it's ALL or nothing.
