Seems like this one has the best reviews out of all the cheaper midi keyboards. So I'm assuming this is probably better than the panda mini. This even has better reviews than the cheap akai midi keyboard.
So it now comes with a special version of protools live as of sometime earlier this year. I just found out today when I registered mine. I'm excited because I've been using the demo version of FL. Hopefully there aren't many limitations.

How does it feel compared to Akai LPK 25 or Korg Microkey or Arturia minilab? I'm looking for something with sensitive keys to be able to play softly, mostly for ambient synths etc.
I have a 49 key keyboard, but I'm looking for something smaller so I can always have it hooked up and ready when the inspiration strikes. I'm looking at this and the full-sized key version v25. After watching this review, I really like this one, but I'm not sure how small the keys are. What do you think, are the keys too small to play simple melodies and chords?
I ended up getting rid of this keyboard pretty quickly and I replaced it with an Arturia MiniLab MKII. It's a bit larger but it has way more knobs and more pads and the keys are much nicer. Compared to it the Alesis V Mini is way overpriced for what it is. It should sell for $49 tops. I like the MiniLab a lot better than either Alesis I tried. I don't have a problem with the small keys; the biggest limitation is it can be hard to play with only 25 keys available at one time, but the smaller size fits great on a desk and it's handy to have connected all the time.

Yes, and if you want to turn off velocity settings then go to Options (Top Left Bar) > MIDI Settings > At the bottom it will say "Link note on velocity to [Velocity]" but click the box and choose "None" and you will no longer have velocity sensitivity.
No problem bro have fun with it, it's a great investment. You can check out some of my beats, but they aren't the best. I have an album full of beats coming out soon that will be up with my recent ones lol. Anyway enjoy 💯
If it were like $49 it would be a no-brainer to purchase but there are better options in its price range. Very bad presentation. You just mumble, mumble...press, but you don't say a word about how it should be used, how the sounds were placed on the keyboard. How to use this? I don't think you know either. It's interesting that when I plug it into the laptop ..... and press it, it doesn't even make a sound. Interesting isn't it????
why the knobs have to be so tall, it's so unhandy when you have to put this in a bag or backpack

3 yrs with mine and its trash. the app for it does not work. you press a key and dif note comes into the daw

I'm afraid it only works on very special computers, the kind used by the US secret service.
