My shyness has created a big barrier between me and my goal to speak English fluently. I'm very afraid of making mistakes or I think that people will not understand me. The problem is that my listening is below par, although, I've made significant improvements on it. I have problems with certain kind of accents. Nowdays, I try to speak with myself in order to develop confidence. I hope to knock down this barrier that has stopped me from speaking with other people some day.
