Loved Michelle. I'm 56, and was delighted to see a lady of a certain age doing so well and enjoying herself. So often, the entertainment industry treats women over a certain age as if they are past it, unworthy. Michelle showed them that this attitude is detrimental to the business.
I feel so bad for the judges. They had to choose between two amazing dancers. So sad to see Michelle go but I'm so happy that they saved saffron. Both of them should not have been in the dance of ❤ xx
I 100% agree with the judges decision. Saffron’s dance was much better so she deserved to go through. However, Michelle is a much better dancer than most of the other competitors that got through (Emma, Alex and Chris) so I feel she was robbed of the opportunity to go further simply because she chose to do something “different” for her street commercial and the public didn’t seem to like it. I loved it personally and voted for her. It confuses me how people vote sometimes. I really wanted to see Michelle in the final 😢.
This is why you can’t really judge a couples choice vs a ballroom. It doesn’t compare because the show is ballroom and Latin based. Vogue was a risk. A huge one and it didn’t pay off. As for Emma, Alex and Chris... this sounds strange to you maybe but I prefer watching people in the progression of getting better in ability. Although Chris is more about the personality now. Some of the performers come in and are so good they don’t make any progress and just remain consistent. I think we’ve seen massive progression from Emma and Alex in the last few weeks and I think they’ll be here to stay for a few more. I think it wouldn’t be a surprise to perhaps see Karim or Kelvin in a dance off soon, I’m also sure that Saffron is very likely to be in the dance off again. Maybe even next week. 3 strong dancers left, 2 average dancers and 1 personality. It’s all going to be thrown up in the air from now.
@@RachaelLink out of this dance-off the judges made the right choice saving Saffron and AJ. Emma (Weymouth) did the same move with her leg each week. And Chris was like a dancing clown each week. I don't know how he got to the semi-finals

Michelle was one of the frontrunner of this season at the beginning :( even Saffron was strong. I cannot believe that Alex, Chris and Emma are still there and she's out
I agree that Chris should’ve been in the bottom two tonight... but both Alex and Emma have improved massively since the first few weeks, and now they’re up there with the celebs who started the series already seeming to know how to dance. Just because she started the series as a front runner doesn’t mean she’d stay as one of the best until the final. I’m happy for the celebs who are improving... this is what strictly is all about :)
Personally I hoped that christ would be in the bottom 2. Just because Michelle was a much stronger dancer and had better content throughout the entire series.

Mystery Girl yeah but it’s called Strictly Come DANCING, not Strictly Come Likeable Personality. Yeah, Chris is funny and entertaining and I’ve enjoyed watching him, but now it’s time for him to go. It’s a joke that actual good dancers are going and he’s staying, like it’s not fair. Got nothing against Chris, it’s not his fault, but he is by far the weakest dancer and is constantly overmarked.

If it was all about the dancing then what would even be the point of a public vote, it’d be just like GBBO and only the judges decide who goes through as their the professionals. Having a good personality should be recognised and celebrated in these competitions because it allows the less technical dancers get more chances and to stop people like Ashley Roberts from last year winning because people hated the fact that she had previous experience in dancing.

It’s irritating I know, but unfortunately the choreography for Dev’s final dance was the let down for him and he didn’t seem to get it and Emma’s dance was easily better, and Catherine was the right time but she shouldn’t have been compared to Mike. Saffron was in the bottom two which was right. I don’t think that dance was technically sound, a lot of syncopation issues and you could see she was struggling at points to keep up, but she corrected it for the dance off. For Michelle, she took the risk and it didn’t pay off. I agree with the judges vote. That’s what it’s going to be like from now. Chris is still left for personality but the others that are left have dancing ability. The dancers now will start going out. Let the rage begin!

Rubbish! This old dear votes for the handsome young TALENTED choreographer Giovanni, and also Oti as both have brought their partners up to the highest level of this year's show. You can't accuse Kelvin of being handsome, but he's got a nice smiley face! In fact there are no handsome young chaps this year.
It’s crazy to see how the show is amazing but the eliminations don’t follow. Next year, the judges should chose who’s the bottom then the public votes.
The judges already do that with their scores ( leader board). If you only had the public voting for the last two, they would get less votes coming in, meaning less revenue.

nobody died; it's just a competition. none of the dancers know who's going to win but i'm sure the organisers do; the result can often depend on what happens in a dancer's personal life or circumstances., ie, ricky whittle, frankie bridge, sean walsh, john sergeant, jay mcguiness, to name but five. to give the show a touch of 'authenticity', saffron was in the bottom 2, but she was never going home. for me, the winner is between, saffron & alex, with kelvin in the final. next week, if they want him out, it could be chris, with maybe, emma in the dance off; however, kelvin & karim can't both win, so one of them may also be a surprise bottom two-er.
Very sad to see her go. She could have made the final, but this was just not a good number to do at strictly. Very hard decision for the judges. They both greatly improved in the dance off, to a degree I haven't seen in a long time.

I hoped/expected to see her in the final as she brought something I’ve never seen any other woman bring to strictly. Sad to see her go....

A lot of people are saying its rigged, but just because Saffron has a lot of fans, doesn’t mean they all voted as quite a few are young so i doubt they voted anyway. It is also based on the leaderboard as well, she’s through anyway so stop complaining

Jane Duncan Im not talking about Dev and Dianne - i know that was rigged! Everyone likes Dianne but Saffron does have a lot of haters as well as fans, she did complain about someone killing themselves afterall.
she also has many fans in other places like the US, Canada, Australia etc and they can’t vote. everyone else (except michelle) most of their fans are in the UK and can vote for them.
The 3rd best dancer in the competition went home and someone who is currently 11th out of 15 is still in. Every year the old dears vote for "the handsome young chap" and make a joke of the show.
Rubbish! This old dear votes for the handsome young TALENTED choreographer Giovanni, and also Oti as both have brought their partners up to the highest level of this year's show. You can't accuse Kelvin of being handsome, but he's got a nice smiley face! In fact there are no handsome young chaps this year.
Some wonderful dances from Michelle and Gio. This week was a risk, I didn't like it personally, but she really wanted to do it.
Thank goodness saffron got through. See if she is in the bottom two next week or any other week....
It’s crazy to see how the show is amazing but the eliminations don’t follow. Next year, the judges should chose who’s the bottom then the public votes.

The judges already do that with their scores ( leader board). If you only had the public voting for the last two, they would get less votes coming in, meaning less revenue.

Definitely not the two couples i would have expected to be in the dance off, do think the couples choice was the wrong way to go so in this case the the right couple were voted off.
She was truly one of my faves. I'm so happy she did vogue for her blackpool dance ❤️🥺 so sad to see them go

nobody died; it's just a competition.
none of the dancers know who's going to win but i'm sure the organisers do; the result can often depend on what happens in a dancer's personal life or circumstances., ie, ricky whittle, frankie bridge, sean walsh, john sergeant, jay mcguiness, to name but five.
to give the show a touch of 'authenticity', saffron was in the bottom 2, but she was never going home.
for me, the winner is between, saffron & alex, with kelvin in the final.
next week, if they want him out, it could be chris, with maybe, emma in the dance off; however, kelvin & karim can't both win, so one of them may also be a surprise bottom two-er.

Very sad to see her go. She could have made the final, but this was just not a good number to do at strictly. Very hard decision for the judges. They both greatly improved in the dance off, to a degree I haven't seen in a long time.

The judges simply didn't connect with the dance. It was so innovative, but tradition won out. That being said, Neither couple belonged in the bottom.

Michelle was consistently one of the top 3 dancers but the Vogue was a bad choice. It didn't show enough skill to compete with Saffron's dance.

Wow! I am shocked. To me these two teams are the two best in the competition. I honestly expected to see these two go head to head in the final. Holy Cow! I can't believe Michelle is gone! This is crazy. That being said I am so so super glad Saffron and AJ are through to next week.
