    The title is very misleading. I came here looking for price ideas for a swim spa for my mom, and I left here looking for price ideas for a swim spa for my mom. I'm now more confused than when I first started looking.

      Good evening, the point was to let you know a self-supporting shell swim spa starts at 20k. The idea is to give you an idea of the difference in price and why. Actual pricing would be done by manufacturer as there’s many manufacturers of swim spas. Sorry for the confusion. Hope this helps!

    I don’t understand. If the only issue in terms of durability for the non-self supporting one is the bowing of the material with time, then why not just install it partially underground so that there’s more support. Then you add in the other amenities so that you have a lower priced quality option…..???

    • @atlantahottubcenter
      @atlantahottubcenter  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good afternoon, even if you install it in the ground or on the ground there's a lot of pressure on the sides, front, and back. We normally see shell cracks and leaks overtime. Here's a video below to really show you the difference between the two in strength. Hope this helps!

    Hi! Your channel is so helpful, as we’re considering a freestanding, year round pool/spa. Is the Waterwell from Endless Pools a self-supporting model? We really want a lot of open space for the kids to play, and aren’t as concerned with the water flow.

    • @atlantahottubcenter
      @atlantahottubcenter  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good afternoon, Endless does make a self-supporting shell product. However, swim spas are a little different as they need a little more than a self supporting shell to support that much water. However, Endless makes a good product. Hope this helps!

    Nice content. I’m thinking about future projects and swim spa that is not sitting on the floor/ground but is below grade with access to mechanicals for repairs and maintenance, swim spa set up for aging boomers to get into and out of. Folks that might have difficulty climbing up and down stairs. More of a sunken pool with the benefits of strong water flow. Any suggestions? Self supporting has equipment attached or equipment is separate from the tub?

    • @atlantahottubcenter
      @atlantahottubcenter  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good afternoon, So, your equipment is all located in the motor compartment which is located behind the swim jets - no biggie. We suggest jazzing it up with a deck and trap door for easy access, or getting fancy with a vault if you want to sink it in the ground (just remember to make the door accessible!). And guess what? We've got you covered with a 3-4 tier step and handrails on both sides - luxury at its finest! Dive in, my friend! Hope this helps!

    Good content. It's basically a salesman helping you qualify/disqualify two types of purchases. A throw-away swim spa for 10-15k after 6-7 years (non self-supporting, cheaper) vs a 25-45k (self-supporting, better quality) pool that will last 15-25 years. You can tell he's tired of hearing, "but my research said swim spas are 10k, why are you selling them for 40k". I do like the approach though, educate the customer so they disqualify themselves from wasting his time. They sell high-end (self-supporting, better warranty, better quality) swim spas and they cost a bunch. But..as he notes, not as much as a new pool (100k).

    Hi, any help appreciated! Basically we have an older balboa free flow hot tub, we hadn’t used it for ages but decided to get it back up and running so we gave it a full clean and refilled the water. We’ve now got an issue where it’s heating up but not cutting out once it reaches the set temperature. We’ve tried this on all kinds of temperatures but it’s costing a fortune in electric where it’s constantly running. Any ideas on how to fix or anything that may need replacing?

    • @atlantahottubcenter
      @atlantahottubcenter  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good morning, is it tripping the hi-limit thermostat? The hi-limit thermostat is designed to protect your hot tub from over heating. In other words if your physical hot tub water reaches 118 degrees, the hot tub should and will shut down. Remember, that these particular hot tubs don’t use an extra small circulation pump so a physical jet pump will constantly run on low speed when it needs to heat. Another rule of thumb is that if your set temperature isn’t 1-2 degrees from the actual temperature of the water in the hot tub it’s possible you might need a thermostat. How close is your set temperature to the actual temperature of the water? Hope this helps!

    • @Kezza02
      @Kezza02 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@atlantahottubcenter Thanks for the response, basically its saying its 38*C so we set it to 40*C, when it reaches 40*C which is the limit its continuing to power whereas before it would always shut off until it had dropped back to 38*C and then heat it back up!

    • @atlantahottubcenter
      @atlantahottubcenter  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good morning, so it's important to understand how to maintain clean water in your swim spa. Take responsibility for proper maintenance, as it's not the swim spa's fault if the chemicals are unbalanced. The dealership should train you, but it's ultimately up to you to keep it in top shape. However, they're certain systems within better built swim spas that can make maintenance easier for you but it won't do it for you. Hope this helps!
