I spent one than year in a construction project and I find out that we were using SEMEN instead of ceMENT. What a shameful discovery. But it is Ok now, thanks to this video, all project team members will differentiate between words to use in the office and those for bedroom.
I made a BIG mistake with the word coke. I went to fast food restaurant and I ordered a large coke. The female cashier only said "What!?" but late she understood that I am not an American. After I realized about my mistake, I felt embarrassment. I would have liked to have that book before
I'm an American. Once while talking to a gentleman he kept saying "manure" it took me a bit to realize he was saying "maneuver". He was having trouble making the V sound.
Before watching your vedios I m gonna appreciate you .you are the 1st coach who has written script of what she is teaching in vedios and this is the only thing that differinciate u from others and helps more than other teachers vedios
Thank you Christina. Very very interesting video as usual ! Also I was wondering why is it so easier to remember your lessons/advice than other common classes : because of the subtitles... double way for the brain to take in.
Oh ! I remember of one mistake that I made when I was in middle school. I had to prepare an oral, in front of my class about a french artist. And I chose a rapper that I loved but... during all my intervention, I pronounced the word “RAP” as the word “RAPE” ( violer )😰 and that gave several sentences as “ In his best song, he is RAPING with another singer.. ” “This is my favorite RAPER ..” I only learnt my pronunciation error after 10 minutes ... by my teacher embarrassed *__*
Hi Christina ... Please keep making these amazing and so creative videos. They are helping me a lot to keep my english "fresh", I'm learning "non stop" with you ... Thank you very much
hello Christina, thank for your this video. I can find no example right now but I can tell about my experience with water this week. I had a problem with water cuts on Friday evening and since the colour of water is no longer transparent but white. I have already told doctors about my eyes, nose, mout, hands and body skin dryness (even if I use a special soap and very rich cream on my body twice a day and cream my hands after washing them). I think this is a direct consequence of electrosensibility. Does anyone feel the same dryness ? If yes, how do you deal with it ?
Thanks really i find your videos really useful; i'll go to england in two weeks and i have to spend a week in an english familly, i was a bit worried about my prononciation, it's a bit diffficult for me but your vieos helped me so thanks once more ^^
Hi ! this lesson made me remember an embarrasing part with my students, we were reading a story called the Most dangerous game, there is a part that says, "I don´t condone murder"...one student was reading aloud and he asked me : Miss how do I pronounce this word? Because it sounded like a prophylactic in Spanish... it was very embarrasing.. and funny moment, I tried to ignore the remark but we were laughing inside!
Wow, Merci Merci Nous t’aimons aussi . Yeah, it happened to me manytimes with : Focus ( mine was Fu....) my friend was laughing at me ,Cathy what are you saying... Thank you dear now I know how to pronounce focus.
this is what happened to me with my english colleague : I wanted to say I FOUGHT then she looked at me as if I had abused her verbally. And actually I late realzed I had pronounced I FART. 20 years later I"m still ashamed
Hi, nice video! May I ask you a question? Where is your accent from? You add a vowel at the end of some words (usually is an /a/, but sometimes I can hear an ɤ) and I don't remember hearing that before in other people. Thanks! :)
There are lot of such words ... sheet (for god sake, say "page" !), "as fact" (directly translated set expression), peanuts, can't (in UK way to say) ...
Hello Christina my name is Nelson and I always have problems to pronounce "Beach" it always sounds like bitch .. 😐 and another word is "Fact"..... I will wait for your help 😁
Christina, imagine, when i was in the UK, some people asked me, where i am from. I told them i’m from Hungary and they just looked at me like 😳 ‘cause they understand it like hungry 😂
Hahahaha I remember one time when I was in a library store in the Usa (Chicago) and I asked for a book called "The energy bus" and they told me that they did not have = ( . Because they understood "The energy boss" = ( Thanks for sharing your videos
Some years ago, while visiting LA in december, a friend of mine took me to the beach where there was a lot of fog. When we came back home, her parents asked me: Did you like the beach? I answered: No, because there was a lot of fuck. What a shame!!

I'm feeling so guilty because it's my first vedio that I saw.really you've great skills to teach.with enjoy ing
I made a terrible mistake mispronouncing the word SKYSCRAPER. Now, I am more careful when speaking.
Ha ha ha! This was funny Christina! Thank you for your assistance. Another awkward moment is when I say shit instead sheet or bedsheets lol!!! Bye 👋🏼
There are lot of such words ... sheet (for god sake, say "page" !), "as fact" (directly translated set expression), peanuts, can't (in UK way to say) ...
Before I watched this video l often used Cement instead of ceMENT but now l got it.
If you say hungry and angry at the same time and say hangry, that’s a slang for being both angry and hungry.
(I've) how we spelling it
I made a presentation about the solar system. The teacher laughed when I talked about the planet Uranus!
4:19 nope, you're a door... lol
Thanks thnks thanks😋😋😋
Gosh, pronunciation of cement is tough for me
I love your video so much.
Prom and pron, those two words made me embarrassed.
whats does mean pron ? I've never heard of that

Csaba Levente Szokolai 😅
nous aussi on vous aime : )
Yes, I have always had issues with the words beach, bitch and sheet, shit.
The word that I am always afraid to prononunce is tong with thong
This is my favorite Lesson so far.
It's like saying
Drop your jaw and focus on the coke
Great beautiful lady
hangry = hungry + angry
There is another one which I'm always afraid to mix up: bitch and beach
Hahahaha I remember one time when I was in a library store in the Usa (Chicago) and I asked for a book called "The energy bus" and they told me that they did not have = ( .
Because they understood "The energy boss" = (
Thanks for sharing your videos
Oh I almost forget 5) axe instead of ask. Hahaha
Some years ago, while visiting LA in december, a friend of mine took me to the beach where there was a lot of fog. When we came back home, her parents asked me: Did you like the beach? I answered: No, because there was a lot of fuck. What a shame!!
I got a brand-new Ford fuck-us!! XD
I think one more thing could be the "dig / dick" mistake (can be true for some germans and east- europeans)
Why do you pronunciation "~sh" as "~sh-ǝ"?
Have missed the classic Beach and bitch kkkkk
