When the evil guy is arguing with a scientist who says its impossible to make a small arc reactor he says "TONY STARK MADE THIS WHEN HE WAS IN A CAVE"
Completely agree with your opinion of the movie. I remember seeing rise of Skywalker in the theater and immediately was concerned with the first couple of minutes. Last half hour got ok for me only because shit was blowing up. Only other movie experience like that for me was the Hellboy reboot, but I can at least get some enjoyment from that movie as a whole. Rise of Skywalker felt like a bunch of headless chickens just running all over the place.

That person is gonna get a humiliating comeuppance and thoroughly disgraced in front of idiots, specifically her family who thinks it's okay to love her. I encourage all Star Wars fans to follow my lead on this.
Watching this made me realize how totally, terribly and completely they ruined everything. Episode 7-9 should be wiped from Star Wars cannon. Either let the Skywalker saga end at Return of the Jedi or make completely new episodes 7-9 without: the Mary Sue(EVERYTHING Rey), storm trooper elite janitor that knows fatal flaws in planet sized death weapons, one man pilot army with so much plot armor he can single handedly take out giant ships and swarms of fighters alone, Death Star 3-cross-galaxy-beam splitting-sun eating-space cannon nonsense(that dies instantly and predictably), "everything is bigger and better" mega star destroyers(that die instantly and predictably), actual money-grab nostalgia cameos, hyper drive ramming, purple haired man-hater, arms dealer/animal cruelty/casino planet(take the whole thing out), Deus ex Machina EVERYTHING, Chekhov's Gun EVERYTHING, reused play-by-play plot lines, Luke in exile drinking nasty alien boob milk, Green Peace space horse get away scenes, slow speed chase with energy weapons that drop in space, space bombers, pointless shiny storm trooper, pointless two-movie side boss no one remembers now that dies instantly, anything New Order, salt foxes, cavalry battles on space ships, Tatooine part 10+, plot holes the size of the hole the Death Star left in Alderan, lazy dropped story arcs and pretty much everything except for some of the vehicle designs, costume designs and Porgs. The whole series was a train wreck behind the facade of pretty special effects, money grabbing nostalgia and selective Disney social-justice inserts.

Yeah, not at all earned. Felt very shoehorned in there. I really would have preferred Colin Trevorrow's take on the property. It looked exciting.
