Whenever i play ad Prussia i try to stay historical in terms of territory but try to fragment all of my neighboora except Russia as i use them as an ally.

I personally prefer not destroying countries by prolonged occupation, unless its revenge for something they did beforehand.

When Britain and France backed each other during a colonial crisis when I was playing as Spain and tried to force me out of my colony when they already controlled most of africa, I sieged them till they lost GP status then dismantled them. They had already colonized most of Africa while I was trying to unite with Portugal and retake the America's, they didn't need to escalate to a crisis and back each other against me, now they don't exist. Karma's a bitch

I would appreciate seeing the culture map mode at the end of the game. Just briefly, but especially in these types of games where you conquer so much.
There can be large changes sometimes.

When you do a death war that ruins a country, it prompts massive emigration. Then, when you take over the territory and make it no longer awful, your pops will migrate there.
You can see, in pop culture alone, the impact of wars.

This just remembered why I like this game so much. Not the billions of trillions of mechanics that EU4, just a game that allows you to have pure genuine fun and steamroll everyone in your way, while actually making it prosperous.

@@SGT Not even difficulty, but complexity. Victoria 2 is hard to learn, especially on the economy, but you don't need to be constantly learning new mechanics or buying new DLCs and knowing which ones work with others and which ones don't work together.
As far as I understand, the AI only calls allies to a war when: The war was started, or by an event that is triggered in big wars when the nation dismantle cb is added, I mean that from the part of the video when Austria go to war with Sardinia-Piedmont and you allied with them to intervene in the war in favor of Austria
I think you should replay Austria in GFM

humble opinion : Since it's singleplayer and already easy enough I believe death warring AI to the point u have no challenge whatsoever might be unengaging to some, myself included,. This is very contextual tho, using the vid as an example, you had plans for Austria so nullyfying their position as GP is definitely what you should do as Prussia if you're going for that thicc HRE borders, but KOing your big rivals such as France early in the game just leaves you unchallenged for decades imo. Big fan man keep it up!

More interesting challenges come about when you show restraint on the AI. It’s also more realistic since deathwarring is generally unpopular IRL.

You should replay Austria. I think it's more fun to for germany as you get to keep Hungary to form the German Confederation. Also you have a decision to have italian puppets if you have all of Italy core sphered

Question : justify on annex on Saxony, déclaré war with minimum AE, add humiliate on Austria, peace out, sphere Austria's minions (and eventually Austria itself) and form NGF/Germany like 10 years early with less losses + u keep Hungary?
Edit: I'm still learning the game. If there's an event chain or something that you lose by doing this method, I'm not aware of it.
Also, how r u getting the jingoism to add these wargoalds?
Im pretty sure that that method doesn’t work because to form NGF you need the nationalism and imperialism tech, which you get in 1850. So basically, it doesn’t make sense to rush the minor nations, instead I rush down Austria to knock them from great power. You can’t annex Austria if they are GP, so if you leave them Hungary it’s hard to make them not GP at the start of the game
Do a luxemburg to hyper germany-france gameplay. (Just have to get crown from the gutter event and it becomes easy enough as well)

I miss this game a lot more than playing 3. So many great flavor events for the countries I like to play. Except maybe some of the US ones can get repetitive lol. Colonization is probably the only thing I think 3 does better and that might not be completely true even.

@@ShadowDragon1848depends on the mod really, and the value of the state. The value of states, if i remember right, is based on provinces, population, industry score/factories in state, and rgos.

How’d you peace out with France with 81 war score when the peace deal was over 90?? From what I know the AI would never accept that.
The war score is only one of the factors that determine deal acceptance. Generally I find you can occasionally get peace deals done with about 10 less score than required if war ex is high and troop count is low. Thanks for watching!
