One of the most musical drum solos ever! This is a masterpiece of playing groove and melodies on the drumset! Never gets boring, like your favourite song, even after listening to it for the hundreth time!
Just stumbled onto this , ..........now that's what I was looking for fresh, innovative , pleasure to see and hear , will be keeping a close eye on this chap , fantastic !!!!!
He's great, he has a classic feel with some updated chops. I do wish he could get some old school Freddy Gruber rips, he could be the next Steve Smith. He has alot of energy, would be very cool to see some laid back tom patterns and jazz influence....
The asian guy on the back is enjoying it so much... that should be the only purpose of drumming (or music in general) To groove and make people enjoy. I love this "type" of drummers which go to a clinic an groove the hell out of the drums more than the ones who just show off their abilities. I respect and admire super technical drummers, but I have a most pleasant time watching and hearing grooves than chops. My humble opinion.
one of the most groovy drummer on this planet. Sooo funky, tight, in pocket and he knows, how to tune a real sounding funky drumset. Put the hands up for this great musician!
I love that he goes into Brake 4 Monster Booty from Uberjam right before the 6 minute mark. That Scofield album introduced me to Adam and is still one of my favorite pieces of music all time.
Never heard of him before, but he was NICE with his. I loved the format of his solo, the range and variety of grooves, and how he brought it all back to the beginning at the end to sum it up. Well thought out and well executed.
All i can say is unbelievable. The best i have ever seen. Got a little bit of that Dirty South Jazz Band..reminds me of when i lived in Mobile Alabama during Mardi Gras.
This dude has the best buzz rolls and left hand ruffs, triplets, whatevs.. What a great sounding kit too!! Watch and learn from a master.. ADAM DEITCH!!
Man , I like this!.... Heres what I get The first hit sounds like Tom Brechtlein with Chick C.-"Grandpa Blues" Then The JB"s- " Super Bad" into "Cold Sweat" 4:30 Chuck Brown (w/ Ricky Wellman) into Trouble Funk roto tom stuff 6:00 ErikB & Rakim "I know you got soul" super awesome!! (my drum fill at 6:04)
Note to sound engineers everywhere.....4:57.....Drummers of this caliber know how they want their drums to sound, ESPECIALLY THE SNARE!!!!!!!!!!! Leave your reverb at home, friend.
Smiles for miles ... amazing ... makes me wonder about how good people can get at something they put their mind to ... it never ends ... deitch is mechanical at points ... holy sheet ...
I FUCKING LOVE THIS SHIT! This reminds me of a Buddy Rich solo just because you keep it fresh and you can amaze people who don't even know how to drum. Very impressive.
I kind of miss when Adam was doing more of the HipHop and electronic/breakbeat music. Not that him playing lot of the jazz and funk stuff is bad, but to me his time with Break Science made him more unique to me.
The grooviest white boy on earth. God can he play. Sounds like a psychotic New Orlean's marching band on meth. Also watch his Modern Drummer performance from a couple of years ago. Influenced by Stubblefield, J. Dilla, Stanton Moore. Benny Greb may be more mind blowingly complex, but no one grooves like Adam. The hi hat and double stroke ghost notes are just cold.
favorite drummer hands down. so quick and tight and funky. really holds it down. huge inspiration on me as a drummer.
Been watching this for years. It just never ages. It’s so good.
Agree!
Same here
Every few months or so I feel the need to revisit this wonderful drum set solo 😋
Never heard of anyone sounding like him. Got his own sound, style and mastering.
The groove at 4:50 - 5:55 gave me flashbacks of the older dudes in DC playing Treble Funk growing up… Good shit…...
One of the cleanest contemporary drummers I've seen in a long time… *
I really dig this dude. So clean and groovy and dynamic. Like he coulda played with the JBs back in the 60s and 70s
One of the most musical drum solos ever! This is a masterpiece of playing groove and melodies on the drumset! Never gets boring, like your favourite song, even after listening to it for the hundreth time!
One of the few 'funky' drummers that can play funky!
Best drum solo I've ever seen
Impossible to stay quiet, without moving your body with the swing created by this amazing drummer!
What a bloody good musician, mates!
He can most definitely make the drum talk.. absolutely awesome
Fenomeno. Bravo. Saluti dall'Italia.
Adam is truly unique and brings a special flavor to the table.

The dynamics, the buzz roll, the groove...stunning!
Putting all the funky grooves in one momentary session. What a sick beast! Thank you…

What a great solo!!! Adam is such a beast!
Absolutely amazing definitly one of my favorite drummers
bro anyone nows which cymbal is that right in front of him plays at 8.24 sounds like a china
Super sick!!
His snare & hi hat technique is what make this video!
Guy began playing when he was two years old, just like that other New Yorker, Buddy Rich ...
Continuation of my comment. Like a lot of other drummers do. You're fills are always in context with the groove and it's always funky
the 4 people that actually disliked this video have no soul.
All i can say is unbelievable. The best i have ever seen. Got a little bit of that Dirty South Jazz Band..reminds me of when i lived in Mobile Alabama during Mardi Gras.
It will never get old
I keep coming back to this over the years, and it's always fresh. Been seeing Adam do well in his latest band 🤘🏽

I believe he is the other half of Adam's Band "Break Science"
Deeply respct. You are talking to ppl with your instrument. Wish you all GOD has gave you. Again, Respect!!!

One of the finest performances since the invention of the trap set.

Yeah Deitch ⚜️
Now that's some drum solo that isn't boring. Full of groove!
Excellent job Adam I love how you always return to the groove as opposed to going all out crazy and showing off your fastest moves

Note to sound engineers everywhere.....4:57.....Drummers of this caliber know how they want their drums to sound, ESPECIALLY THE SNARE!!!!!!!!!!! Leave your reverb at home, friend.

Strange to see all that people (except the asian guy) so emotionless I would be dancing if I was there. Thumbs up Adam!
Stick dexterity right here :-)
this the reason of why he is the drummer of Lettuce. Awesome drummer
