You may have received an email from Google asking for Google Adsense identity verification. Once you receive this email, you have 30 days to submit the documentation to start identity verification in Google Ads.
If you don’t submit the documentation within 30 days, your Google Ads account will be paused and your ads will stop running.
What is Google Ads Identity Verification?
The Google advertiser identity verification was first announced by Google on April 23, 2020, in connection with their 2018 policy update requiring identity verification for political advertisements.
This was done to improve advertising transparency with users and ensure all businesses registered with Google Ads are legitimate businesses.
Why has Google rolled out the Advertiser Identity Verification Program?
1. To ensure a safe and trustworthy ad experience for users
2. To increase transparency
This means that all the ads you are running will contain a disclosure using the information that you've provided during the verification process.
The name of your Ecommerce store and the country of sale will be displayed in a disclosure that is automatically generated by Google.
What happens if you don’t comply with the Advertiser Identity Verification process?
1. Your account will be paused (if you don’t complete the verification process within 30 days).
2. If you’ve provided false information during the verification program, your verification will be revoked and your account may be SUSPENDED.
3. Google may also pause your account if they suspect you are attempting to circumvent their verification process or your identity is unclear.
4. Your account will remain paused until you complete the verification program, which can take 5-7 days depending on your account setup.

Hey guys! That's how you verify your identity in Google Ads. If you've received Google's email to start identity verification, DON'T IGNORE IT! Start the process and submit all the required documents so your Google Ads account won't get paused and your ads will continue running.

Quick question! There is a question that asks if you are advertising your own or someone else’s products. What should you enter if you are just a tech TH-cam channel wanting to advertise your videos on product reviews you perform. I’m not necessarily “selling” a product except trying to gain traction to grow my channel.

What to do if you are an individual and not incorporated? All the documents they requested are only available if you are a corporation.

@@horanyiendre You have to contact Google Ads from the help menu, if you can get a hold of them, e-mail seems to be the only option right now, they used to have phone and chat but they both not currently available.Tell them you want to change your account type from an Organization to and Individual. They will e-mail you a document to sign. After that all you need is a drivers license or passport to verify identity and none of those other corporate documents.
You have to ask the Google ad support to change your ad account type from company to individual.
@@horanyiendre i think you can change ad account type from the dashboard?, in the top bar click setting then under billing click advertiser verification, i think it would works

!! SUPER URGENT - I submitted my identity verification documents but didn't receive an email confirming the submission. This is my first ad tho so it's not super urgent to run it. IF Google says I failed to submit the documents, which account will they delete: Google Ads, or my general Google account?
This is urgent because my personal Google account's email is linked to every service in my life.

Hi Sam, I need to complete this on behalf of a client account in my MMC. So the Ads ID is the client business and website. Should the rest of the form be completed with the client details, or my own details as advertiser?

Google ad account name is mine but i paid with my friend card so now will i give my details or give the details of my friend
its illegal. Google is always scanning and if they find dissimilarity of names your account will get suspended. Try to use your own card. There's another tricky part: You can add money by manual payment but its not the solution

We have been trying to get our advanced verification for months from Google. We have submitted our EIN number, business cards, photos of parts and tools, and a video of our GM in front of the property and one of our wrapped trucks, but we keep getting suspended.. We are never told why and this has been going on for a long time and our appeals keep getting denied. I know Google hates garage door companies, but this is driving us insane. Any tips?

As a matter of fact, I left that company and they are now using a marketing firm that is lying about the "individual ownership" of their various locations in order to try to get each one verified as a stand-alone company. They're using Photoshop on a lot of utility bills. Not the way I operate.

I was doing the same, until this policy update. I had issues with their policy, and refused to send them a copy of my drivers license for fear of Identity theft (everyone's servers get hacked sooner or later) This my own personal account.... not a BUSINESS. (yet)
