@wynton5364 I agree. My mother has a Capri and it has the style of tuning slide that we're more used to seeing these days. It does also have the 1st valve trigger though.
@Aidtox I am pretty sure, because of the unique design of the tuning slide. And the large bore version have trigger on first slide. But none of those matter, he plays fantastically clear articulation. It's he who matters.
and I played one in symphonic band at Bowling Green St. U. nearly fifty years ago. It is one of my two favorite instruments along with my 73' LA Benge trumpet. The first time I saw Ole Edvard play this I almost went apeshit because I knew it had to be a Getzen. There are nothing like the valves on a Getzen horn, period. Ole is from a different planet than most horn players!
Wonderful!!! id prefer the flight of the bumble bee without the mute, to make it louder, more annoying and in your face, also for better use of dynamics(loud and soft)
cool when the smoke starts pouring out of his first and second valves. I hear he is working on a radiator system to keep the valves cool. Hope that works out. (=:
@charizianne Lol, well first it's a cornet, not a trumpet. The white cup is called a cup mute. He's trying to make it sound like a bumblebee. The song was written for violins, which sound very much like bees.
the performance on his actual channel sounds way better no that i am saying this one isn't. I've tried so hard to play this on my trumpet but it is just so hard
Ole is awesome, even though he wasn't in his usual top form here. But Ole in less than top form is better than most trumpet/cornet players at their best, especially myself lol.
It is the best classical trumpetist in the world today!! Norway is beast!!!
the bumblebee was played so musically, one of the best i've heard.
This Cornetist and trumpeter from Norway is fantastic and plays brilliant Virtuoso Trumpet and Cornet! Peerless! I am impressed!

That's actually not a trumpet -- it's a Getzen "Eterna" 800S Cornet. 2014 is the 50th anniversary of this model going into production.

This level of skill is something many trumpet players aspire to. Although technically he isn't playing a trumpet in this... :-P

the performance on his actual channel sounds way better no that i am saying this one isn't. I've tried so hard to play this on my trumpet but it is just so hard
Even better than Mario Lanza! Oh my! Funiculi, Funicula!

On fire …“both“ 🤪

2020??
does anyone know the make of cornet he is playing?
I thought it was a 900 series Getzen
Damit war er 1998 bei "Night Of The Proms"
I don't see any of his trumpets. Wonder if he played the whole concert on the cornet.
Er det Wolfgang Plagge ved klaviaturet? :P
Getzen 800 Eterna large bore
@wynton5364 Are you sure? It looks like a Capri model.
where can i get the sheet music for this?
Try imslp.org
that would be weird... he has several stands with him..
cornet ;)
But yeah... pritty skilled
why is he using that white cup to cover the trumpet's cap when he plays the flight of the bumble bee song?
Becaus he want it to sound moore like a real bumblebe. But ofcours it would be Nice without the mute too.
@wynton5364 thanks, i hate that design of cornet XD
That is a cornet
Pizza time
What's the name of the Pianist?
Wolfgang Plagge
what on earth are you talking about? have you never actually listened to Sergei Nakariakov?
I don't want to see the super-technique. I want to listen to an excellent sound of the trumpet.
