Barry Mcguire, was hanging with Mumma Cass a lot of time back in the 60s. They did many a tune together. Barry often played a 12 string guitar. Such a talent. His “eve of destruction” is more prevalent today in 2022 than when he released, when I was a kid. BTW, great instruction, love this tune. Thank you mate. 👍🎸

Thanks for the great lesson! I've been working on this but hadn't seen your video before today. It helped me with a few areas like strumming and vocal timing. Do you have any suggestion for what to do on a solo acoustic for the flute instrumental between verses 2 and 3?
You're very welcome, Lou ! That's one of the trickiest parts about being a solo guitarist. There are lots of possible approaches but all them require a bit of work - except whistling. You are a brilliant teacher and make the difficult easy. If there is one thing not a criticisim but a general observation on teachers, it’s not about what you know, but what your pupil can learn= take in. So the point being most people learn at differing speeds maybe slightly, but the smallest thing missed, could be the whole lesson missed. So, S l o w l y, and don’t compress too much into a lesson, jumping forward to show your knowledge. Awe, can lead to confusion and dissatisfaction because what is straightforward to some, is just not comprehensible to all. It might be worth (suggestion) cutting say, California dreamin, intro into a S l o w lesson segment, repeating and real clear close ups of finger positions etc. Finally, thank you for your great work and effort.
