Hey! Thank you so much for checking out the channel! I really liked this theory too. After I get healthy I'll be trying to put out some more solid content and a few live steams coming soon good to have you hope to keep seeing you around!!
Yo I loved this video man -- it’s a different video from you than usual, but in a very thought provoking direction. I like that you did research on this issue and it isn’t something I’ve heard before. Now about the theory itself: I like your thoughts about Imu’s connection to the sea, but I wonder if the “timeless” aspect of his body is something like the op-op fruit or an external condition rather than being heavily influenced by Aeon. He could be a god, but I think one of the really cool things we see in One Piece is that every time we think we see a “god”, such as Nola, Enel, doflamingo, and the elder stars, their layers become stripped away and we see the very mortal dreams and desires that lie underneath, influencing their behaviors and actions. I think there are no real “gods” in one piece, just those with access to power beyond their ability to comprehend or handle. I think that devil fruit awakenings are a great example of this, those with maturity of their devil fruit being able to avoid being overtaken by it. I wonder if Imu was someone similarly “corrupted” by a philosophy or ideology, one that’s at odds with the concept of freedom that’s so endemic to human nature and what luffy loves. All in all, loved the video man and the mustache is 💯- I’m in the middle of growing one myself 😂 If I misunderstood anything in the video, please feel free to tell me!
Thank you so much for your long-time support! It’s awesome that you noticed my different approach in this video! Regarding your point about Imu, I don’t see him as a true god, but rather as someone with a god complex. I’m leaning towards the idea that he might be tied to a devil fruit, possibly something from the Eve Tree on the Red Line-maybe we could even call them Angel Fruits. I envision this as a direct counter to Luffy’s fruit, potentially something like a Sea-Sea Fruit, where his awakening could involve taking the powers of devil fruit users in the sea. This could even manifest as a Kraken, symbolizing the death of pirates in lore. I really appreciate your thoughts on Nola, Enel, Doflamingo, and the way they’re all stripped down layer by layer. I’m also curious to learn more about the Elder Stars and any weaknesses they might have. I truly can’t fathom Imu being an actual god. At most, I could see him as an alien trying to take over the world, but even that feels like a stretch for what Oda would do. We’ve already seen god-like characters like Whitebeard, Gol D. Roger, and now Luffy with his Sun God capabilities-I'm not sure a god in power is even necessary. Thanks again for your insightful comment and your support! I’m working hard to keep good content coming. I have a stream with Mr. Morj on the 28th at 7:30 PM Central, and then the Happy Hour on the 30th at 630 Central, so I hope we can continue to grow together! You’re awesome, and don’t ever feel like you wrote too much-no need for apologies!
@@BinksTavern-sz5tx That’s awesome - thanks for explaining your thoughts more. I can definitely see Imu as someone with a god complex. Maybe he felt slighted in the past by Joyboy, as he represents the “earth” and joyboy the “sun”. Geocentrism vs. heliocentrism? The angel fruits are a cool theory, but I think the “angel” powers might be more directly present in things like King’s racial abilities. We see 7 moons orbiting the earth in robin’s flashback. What if each moon was inhabited by a certain angel race with distinct abilities? So far we know four peoples with wings, namely the shandians, skypeians, lunarians, and birkans. Going off what you said, maybe Imu was a member of one of these races, someone who turned against them to safeguard his own power. A colossal war may have ensued in the distant past, between the members of these planets and the fishman and giant tribes below. The ancient kingdom is the only one I can’t speculate anything about 😅 so I’ll leave it to smarter brains. I also like how you brought up the kraken because it reminds of something that’s been brought up in the story rarely but succinctly: the legend of Davy jones. Davy Jones was the one who first created the Davy Back fight and we’ve met a fishman pirate who rides a facsimile of his ship. I feel like he was an actual, living breathing pirate, whose legend became larger than life similar to Whitebeard and Roger. What if Davy Jones was the original joyboy. It’s said that “all the treasure in the sea belongs to him.” Importantly, why did he even create the Davy Back fight? Thank you for responding to me. I hope you have a great discussion with Mr. Morj and can’t wait for more videos in the future.
