The hood is all the way up in the sky because it can only be done in the normal game in Forzavista, all hoods fly up so you can't see them. When the screen goes dark in forzavista when removing a hood, that's when it gets shot into the sky
You´re probably right. Still a weird way to solve that problem, I´d just delete the part. But the again, I´m not a game developer

In Forza Horizon 3 (aswell as Forza Horizon 4) whenever you open the hood of a car that is attached in an awkward position or would need bolts and screws to open, the game would black out the screen, and then move the hood quickly away from the car so you don't see it, then clear it up again so it seems as if nothing had happened. Why they did this instead of simply removing the hood entirely, I don't know 🤷♂️

Regarding the hood i guess they did that simply because when you're in forzavista its always indoor, they just teleport it somewhere unreachable. This method is pretty common actually in other games. Why they simply can't make it gone it's because it took time to render the part. If the player open and close the part fast it simply take too long to render the part. They simply teleport it
