I'm sure you've seen in the comments that the trilogy begins with Daechwita, Haegeum, and last Amygdala. The trilogy is basically SUGA battling with his different personas SUGA/Agust D/Yoongi and the temptations that come with fame, etc, while trying not to lose ones self. The last song of the trilogy is Amygdala. This is the part of the brain that stores trauma/emotion. So the song is was SUGA's true experience. He has always been open about his struggles and vulnerabilities with depression, OCD, and anxiety. The scar on his face represents the scar from his experiences. So trauma is the scar that you carry mentally/emotionally even if it's not a physical scar. In the end, those scars will not go away, but you can come to peace with those emotions to move forward. It's a very raw song for sure. 💜

You got the order wrong, but thanks again for the reaction 💜
[Edit to explain] The scars thing is so much clearer if you start from the beginning (Daechwita), because the scar symbolize his past traumas. Both the mad King AgustD and the Rebel AgustD had it in the beginning. The Mad King scar is older, and the Rebel AgustD scar is more fresh. Then in Haegeum the Corrupted Policeman AgustD scar is almost faded, and the new rebel that replaces him has no scar, meaning that he was able to overcome his past traumas. In Amygdala MV, you finally see his story and him giving the scar to himself in the past, "creating" his alter ego AgustD to protect himself from the pain the traumas brought to him, and to talk about it.
    Love your reaction! Borahae!💜

Have you heard AgustD’s song Tony Montana? Instead of a trilogy, I feel like this is the true order to his story:
    Yoongi’s mental state:
    The Last
    Tony Montana
He creates an alter ego to deal with the trauma:
    AgustD
    Give it to me
    Daechwita
    Haemgeum
The explanation of what is going on in his mind:
    Amygdala
    His healing and going forward:
    Life Goes On (AgustD version)

When I was a teenager I was into self harm. I have a few scars from my past of that as well as a final attempt. I thankfully (obviously) was not successful. This song brings me to peace in some way...knowing that Yoongi also went through hard times and had the strength to put out this song that helps so many others just gives me more reasons to love him.

Really detailed reaction! This was great! And Yoongi didn’t have an addiction to pills, but he did need to take a lot of pain pills to get through practices and performances due to his past shoulder injury - it was almost crushed when that car hit him. 🥺😭 To make it even worse, he hid it from everyone, even the other members, because he wasn’t supposed to have a job as a trainee and was afraid he would get kicked out of the group. He told everyone he fell down the stairs. He had surgery for it years later in 2019 (I think) so it feels better now. He still wears a special shoulder wrap before shows to prepare though. 😕

Aw.. I see you in a lot of comments apologizing or saying you "messed up," so please allow me to play devil's advocate for a minute.
Any time I see a reactor get everything right on the first watchthrough, just like, miraculously gleaning all of the artist's intentions and symbolism, or understanding 100% of the plot perfectly? That tells me immediately that they are a fake reactor, lying about it being their first time watching something. NO ONE is that good!
Making a kpop reaction is a whole thing. You are somehow supposed to read the lyrics and understand their (often abstract) meaning. At the same time, you are expected to vibe with and appreciate the song, AND the visuals, AND the choreography... and still somehow figure out the story that video is trying to tell. And god forbid you mis-recognize a member and get their name wrong. Or, if it's a group song, you fail to call out each member's individual contributions. Inexcusable! You're not appreciating them enough!
Seriously, I don't know how you guys do it, it's a stupid amount of stress. Not that I don't appreciate it, because... I mean... you're entertaining me, but it's definitely not something I could do without losing my sht and snapping at everyone who makes rude or entitled comments. 😅
The easter egg in Daechwita where Jin and JK fight in the background is a perfect example of a fake reactor red flag. Someone watching the video for the first time is going to be focused on Yoongi, or reading the subtitles... not scanning the background for random details. Not to mention, you have to be pretty darn familiar with the boys to recognize them, in period makeup and costumes (including a fake beard), for the few seconds that we see their faces. Most reactors are newer to BTS... some can't even name all the members yet. So when I see a reactor IMMEDIETLY notice and call out the cameo? Nope. They were tipped off, or they've seen the video before. 'Cause there's NO WAY. 🤣
Anyway, just thought I'd throw that out there. Honestly, most ARMY are pretty chill and just enjoy watching people take the time to know our boys. So no worries about mistakes, or if you interpret something differently, or... whatever! There will always be someone in the comments willing to educate, but I hope you don't take any of the rude comments to heart. You're doing awesome, thanks for this SUPER LONG reaction! Loved it. 💜

Thank you for the kind words, & no i dont take it to heart. For the most part all those in my comment section are more trying to help me because they know how slow and bad I am at all this. I do get the occasional rude fan but i try to be just positive and respond with kindness because I know its because they are so passionate about the boys so I understand. & no you are right I did not notice that JK and Jin were in the background , not until Bookish theories pointed it out to me in the explained video afterwards! lol in my reaction I was so sad and disappointed in myself for not being able to recognize it at first but after reading your comment i feel so much better ! Also, ARMYs go bonkers trying to educate and provide supplemental info not because we think you (or any reactor) is bad, but because we are obsessed and love taking any opportunity to talk about BTS. Found you late just now. I haven’t seen your reaction yet, but just from the comments alone, I’m subscribing! I’m an almost silver ARMY and OT7 with Suga as my bias so I won’t say anything about the order you watched. Some of his works need multiple watches. Someone suggested you watch the making of his Daechwita or other of this trilogy. I would recommend that if you didn’t watch the DKDKTV explanation to Daechwita that covers more specific details F Yoongi’s genius that you can do that on your own time or in another reaction. Maybe you have. I see you’re wearing a red hat and this was around Yoongi’s bday so it’s really cute! I do love Amygdala and the MV as I’m so proud of him for expressing his vulnerabilities to ARMY. This may sound strange but I just want to talk about the self harm topic. It can be the only way to let out the pain, hurt, darkness, self hatred you feel. I was only 6 when I turned my coloured pencils on myself and gouged my skin until I had blood running down both legs and arms. I didn't know of any other way to express the feelings I had.
I have complex PTSD, severe anxiety, depression and dissociation and yes when things get bad I do self harm, sometimes unconsciously. I will even do it in my sleep when it's severe. I am now 50 and still fighting demons. So yes, self harm is not a good thing but things can be worse. Drug and alcohol dependency are worse, I was lucky I gave myself alcohol poisoning at 15, I don't drink. My brother was an alcoholic for almost 30 yrs. A bit of TMI but if you haven't been there you can't really understand the reasoning and the turmoil a person is in to willingly hurt themselves to try to relieve the pain.

Not that much later. He was a trainee at the time and didn't want to tell BigHit. Eventually he did, and they paid for his college tuition.
However, he didn't say how bad it was. As he had to dance and perform, he went through more and more pain. His depression worsened and his mood was identified by a BTS member. He sought psychiatric and trauma therapy.,But the physical damage to his shoulder didn't go away. He was getting shots before performances. Then one day while filming a commercial he couldn't hold up the item. The group, management, and his parents got him to have surgery. That was over the 2020 award season, holidays, etc. Recovery was a 3-month process. That explains why he didn't perform in those 2020 MMA, and MAMA shows. But it wasn't "later in life". The accident and surgery were all in his 20's.

not really related to this video but agust d/yoongi is actually very brave for making the refence of the detective/cop to be corrupt/dirty. because korean police are actually very corrupt if you watch rotten mangos videos (maybe if you wanna react to her too especially her videos on itaewon, sewol, burning sun, and parasite actor) youll understand how bad the police are in korea so him even alluding to this could be considered very controversial. even though he spoke on many other topics in relation i cant help but think it was very subtle shade if not telling regular people to not trust police for everything. like i said if you watch these videos/react to them youll understand my point. :)

    3. Amygdala follow up single from D-DAY album. Yoongi even cut his hair to show the difference between his trapped, preset self and himself from the past.

I also wanted to mention that his accident did cause shoulder damage, which caused him chronic pain...especially with the choreography he had to do those first years of his career. As someone who lost a career from chronic pain, it's devastating, and I can't imagine all that stress he felt internally.

He's a huge example for me, how hard life gets eventually their will somehow, somewhere a way out and it's okay to have a fall back atleast when you keep putting enough efforts to get back up again after you fall!! Hi, i am back. Good reaction(Daechwita), ty. Really good song! Catchy. Very much a movie. This was all Suga's idea. His vision. They hired ppl who made his vision come to life. He is such a boss! I remember we were all speechless. Like my god his brain. King! Love the vibe. Suga kills it every time. The autotune is sick in this. Love it. The live version didn’t have an in-person audience but it was live streamed to 1.33 million people around the world. The other rappers are the haters and he kills them all in the MV, wince. Savage! 'DAECHWITA' you can pronounce it 'day-chi-ta'. The w is silent. =0] If u pay attention to the MV u will hear it pronounced correctly. Just mimic that and u will be fine. =0p I suggest u check out the behind the scenes. Suga (AGUST D) explains the meaning himself in those. =0} Also, pls check out the explanation video by DKDKTV. To really understand an artist I think it's important to look at all the content. It's good having ur own interpretation but it's vital to know what the artist was trying to say as well. To me at the end Suga accepts his greedy King self and becomes what he has always meant to be. =0) Loved seeing the Bookish Theory explanation, too. Hugs. -2019 ARMY NY USA 💜
    Like Renee Zemlock said on 12.20.20;
Daechwita was the traditional music played to let people know when the King or the royal military was coming through. Yoongi has said that the King represents his past self, the greedy selfish part of who he used to be, and the peasant is his more humble present self. Also, the butcher in the beginning is also the executioner; their look exchanged at the beginning of the vid was them plotting the betrayal and execution of the King. Also, the antique gun he used to shoot the King.... is legitimately called Army.
    =0)
    Mark said on 3/18/22
The music at the beginning and sampled throughout actually is Daechwita. It’s traditional ceremonial, military music often used to announce the presence of the king. I think it translates to ‘great hitting and blowing’.
Yoongi/Agust D is playing two aspects of himself. The mad king (also called Anger) is himself from the time of his first mixtape ‘Agust D’ released in 2016, and the rebel commoner is himself now (well, in 2020). There are six others in his ‘gang’, representing the other members of BTS, and the young woman who presents him with the car keys embodies ARMY. The revolver he uses at the end is a Colt ARMY revolver from 1860. He has suggested that maybe he didn’t actually ‘kill’ his former self, at least not completely. Yoongi’s three named personas (Min Yoongi, Suga and Agust D) are distinguishable from one another as well as being aspects of the same personality.
There’s also a huge amount of cultural and historical reference which is best left to the explanation videos.
    berha said on 3/18/22
"I wish I knew what that said" - it basically says Daechwita written in Chinese characters. Chinese characters were used for the Korean language before the Korean alphabet was invented. The three characters literally translate to "big," "blow," and "hit" - referring to the royal marching band procession and instruments used in Daechwita.
(suga and the 2 butchers) is pivotal to the plot of the MV, interesting you picked it! The butcher is the executioner. Suga is making a deal with him in the marketplace for the end of the video.

MVs for both Daechwita and Haegeum depict Agust D's inner struggle.
In Daechwita, the blond king is his old self, full of anger and ambition. The rebel is his new self, who wants to be down to earth. (Remember that he was blond in "Agust D".)
In "Haegeum" I think the corrupt policeman represents the shackling negativity in society and himself. The gang leader is his desire to free himself from that.
Notice that in Daechwita (2020) the scars are still red and fresh. In Haegeum (2023), only the policeman has the scar and it's almost healed. So Agust D is on his way to healing himself from his inner battles.
Amygdala, the last song in the trilogy, will give you answers about the origin of the scar.
Agust D's songs are not always this intense. He has some gentle, easy-listening songs too, but the lyrics are always honest.
"People" is beloved by many. It talks candidly about people and life, a comfort song. I think you'll also enjoy this more gentle side of Agust D. "People Pt. 2" has an MV, no movie or story line, just a calm song about relationships.

Yes Daechwita is the first MV in the trilogy - in Haegum, YOONGI addresses the antis and ARMYs that gave both JK & Tae sh*t for smoking privately as he if it was a netizen’s right. BTS are idols and there’s a culture associated with being perceived as “perfect.” Now that BTS is not only on top of KPOP, but the world - they can finally push back on those expectations (Haegum -lifting the ban) because they can -Kings 👑 that they are

Hi, i am back. Good reaction(Amygdala), ty. Such a good song. Pls pause as much as u want. I love hearing your thoughts. This is my fav song from his album. My 2nd fav is Snooze. I love all the songs though. But these for some reason made me feel more. When i heard this for the 1st time i smiled. This MV speaks his truth. I am glad Suga talked about it more. I think the more u speak about it the easier it gets as the years pass. I am sorry he went through so much. I am sad he did not reach the door. I think this song is tricky. I think the MV enhanced the song a lot for me. Good visuals. Loved the feels. I am an empath so i take it in. Suga was sharing his trauma, his painful memories right. I was not aware his mom had heart surgery or that his dad battled cancer. We know Suga survived it was a miracle. Yoongi dealt with so much pain for so long. We were all so glad he finally had the shoulder surgery in 2020. They are so strong all of them. They are our strength and we theirs. I was finally able to cry for him at last with another reactor. My therapist said I am not afraid of death. I faced my death already dealing with cancer. So his truth was not that shocking to me. But still I wanted to cry for him because he can't. People with PTSD have the same issues with their amygdala. Not being able to process emotion and trauma properly. People who suffer with PTSD in multiple forms would understand this mv straight off. Its the whole process of nightmares vs flashbacks. Flashbacks being more of a process for PTSD sufferers. I have Complex PTSD and hypervigilance so i understand this mv with all its little nuances. I respect Yoongi so much that his been able to be so open with these issues.

I think the trilogy is about slowly recovering from trauma... the Amygdala MV explains the key to understanding the other two MVs, in that it shows that the scar is a mark of a character that is acting on their trauma - Yoongi has been slowly healing over the years. In Daechwita (D-2), he replaced "blond Agust D" from the first mixtape (he was blond for the MVs he released in 2016), who was a king who ruled out of anger... in Haegeum, a new Yoongi who DOESN'T have a scar, he's healed from his trauma - or at least has learned how to have it not continue to hurt him any more by self-inflicting wounds in response to it - and Haegeum Yoongi replaces D-2 Yoongi whose scar is old but still there, and is ruling in a civil manner but perhaps too caught up in the flexing aspect (the fancy suit, the slick image). I think Haegeum is the end on a note of Yoongi being free, and living the way he wants. Amygdala is needed to explain that key though - what Yoongi had to go through mentally to get to that point.
The fact that he's sharing this with us, to me, means that he's reached a healthy place where he feels strong and recovered enough to share the story. Even if he can't put a firm happy ending on it, because you can't do that with mental struggles - in the latest episode of Suchwita, he even tells RM that he gets low every 2-3 years, but has learned how to handle it better as time has passed, and now RM thinks he's the most positive person on the team. Really, Yoongi is absolutely amazing. I love him so much and he deserves all the hugs in the world.

I really appreciate the interpretation of "green Suga/almond-eating Suga" because I honestly didn't know how to interpret that character and what Carlos said makes SO MUCH SENSE and also gives me closure for the MV, when I didn't feel like it had much closure before. I always felt like Yoongi storyboarded these MVs the way he did for a reason - that they can touch on both his personal journey, but also the problems with the industry/society that he sees. I also loved Carlos' comment about Yoongi putting himself in both the hero and villain role, as a commentary that he's also part of/a product of the society/industry that he's criticizing, but that just means he knows exactly what he's talking about. Anyway, great discussion!
    @heathermurray7130 said on 5/21/23
He couldn't open the door because you can't open the door. Once you have experienced trauma, it stays with you forever. You can't "save" yourself from it, you can manage it, and you can give it less power over you but in the end, it is a part of us, you can't cut it out. I think that moment when he slides down the door is that moment of acceptance.
    @dariajustdaria2292 said on 11/19/23
During the tour the stage was basically that room, it had rain and thunder in it, fire too, the stage getting smaller and smaller as the pieces of flooring disappeared. Until finally at the last show Yoongi opened that door and left the place of sorrow, like literally there was a door on stage and everything. When i tell you army's BAWLED like babies that day...its an understatement 😅

Daechwita was released long ago before his D-Day album but it’s still part of his trilogy. The 6 members of the gang in both Daechwita and Haegum represent the other 6 members of BTS. 2CMeos in Daechwita too. In Amygdala, it’s part of the brain that creates a flight or fight response and also holds memories of traumas. This is the last of the trilogy that is kind of a prequel to the 1st one Daechwita. He’s created the scar that you see in Daechwita and that is less noticeable in Haegum. So, him as Agust-D with the scar in Amydala is stuck in the room. He tries to escape his traumas (all of which were real in Yoongi’s life -parents are good now). His brother runs a restaurant like you thought. By saying ‘best choice’ he’s trying to figure out what is the best choice to deal with these traumas. He creates his alter ego. So, the Suga on the scooter/motorcyle trying to save him is useless since he realizes that he has to live with all the trauma. Great interpretation of yours! I agree! Most ARMY know that he had a motorcycle accident doing part time jobs as a trainee though he wasn’t supposed to in order to save up for school and he never told the company about it or the members until later bc he didn’t want to get cut from BTS. He finally told them and the management paid for his university tuition and he finally decided to get shoulder surgery in 2020. When you watch live shows if it’s in 2020, you may notice that Yoongi isn’t there since he was recovering from that surgery. Everyone was so happy to see or hear that on his last concert day, he walked through the door. He did say, he thinks that there will be no more Agust-D, now since he’s made peace with himself. I miss them all and can’t wait for Jin, the 1st one to return! They bombard us with so much, it feels like they are still with us! We still miss them though. 😊👏👏👏🫰🏻💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

not annoying to click on one at a time at all for ARMY, LOL> Thanks for the view. and now you know why it's important to watch a trilogy in the right order. esp with BTS as they tell a story through each album. example, Cypher 1,2 &3. watch them in order. Yoongi did cut himself. He had to leave in Bon Voyage 2nd season to go home to his father. also, the pills were the pain pills for his shoulder injury. He couldn't tell anyone how he got hurt, because he was working and that was not allowed for a idol, but BTS was in financial trouble and he wanted to try and help. around 2019 he couldn't move his arm well and was in so much pain he had to tell Bang PD. who got him help and then in 2020 I think, he had shoulder surgery.
No one knows the exact circumstance, but twice in different interviews Yoongi has vaguely given credit to Jin for saving his life. He and Jin were roommates for 7-8 yrs and live 5 mins. away from each other.
Now, for fun, go back and watch Daechwita until you find Jk and Jin, LOL.

Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. LVLUP did u spot that there is 6 gang members with Suga. o.0 Suga always has BTS represented in his MVs. He so sweet. Jimin ult bias, Suga wrecker, OT7.
He looks so hot. Love the souvenir jacket his wearing. I have one too but mine is black and has cranes on it. I love dragons though and my fav color is blue & black. I kind of thought we would not have a song like Daechwita on this album. Well guess i was wrong, huh. 0.0 I was really surprised on 1st watch. I never thought he would connect 3 MVs together. 0.0 That is brilliant. Suga is such a genius. I love it. Suga during the premier said to listen to Daechwita, Haegeum, and Amygdala. So that's what i did. Powerful song. I like that we continue the story from Daechwita. But this song is more violent. Geez. He is such a savage! I liked it. Good rhythm. Suga is a visual. I hope u rewatch the MVs in order like he suggested. Great that u spotted the Joker reference i missed that. Ur reaction was many of us. He is such a boss! Here's a list of solo projects. doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com/solo-projects/

So Haegeum means allowing/unlocking something that was forbidden. His whole album is overflowing with his emotions, and not only does he talk to himself in his album, he talks directly to the listener (especially with one particular song, where it almost feels like he breaks the 'fourth wall'. I've experienced it via a movie before, but never by song, until now) there are ARMY translator accounts on Twitter, so if you want to listen to his album on Spotify or Apple music etc, you can have the lyrics pulled up to help you understand what he is expressing 💜
    ScreamCheeese said on 4/21/23
Haegeum also means “to liberate” or “to release” from bans, restraints, or something forbidden. You also really need to see Daechwita!! You’ll understand a lot more of this MV and it’s just as amazing! Just a movie-like. Min Yoongi is a genius for a reason 😩
    Plants healing said on 4/21/23
Haegeum has two meanings. The first is a traditional Korean stringed instrument used in this music "this song's a haegeum", and the second, as the lyrics say, "a new kind of haegeum" means "unlock".
Yoongi uses both haegeum in his lyrics.
    Addison McDorman said on 4/22/23
Haegeum: the English lyrics & the meaning.
Haegeum is a song about unlocking our new potentials, freeing something previously forbidden. The word “Haegeum” has a double meaning. On one side, it’s a traditional Korean string instrument that has a very peculiar sound, but this is not the authentic meaning Agust D/Suga intended originally.
Haegeum” means “allowing/unlocking something that was forbidden.” Here is how he explained it in an interview:
The word “Haegeum” came to me when I was young. I played rhythm games, I loved rhythm action games. When beating a certain stage, you’d unlock a forbidden song, then you could play a new rhythm. It was a “freedom from the forbidden.” Why don’t I try and break free from those things?
This is explicitly confirmed by the English translation of the lyrics in Haegeum:
This song’s simply about freeing what’s forbidden but you must remember to differentiate freedom from self-indulgence
    This song’s a haegeum
    Get on board now
    This lively rhythm
    A new kind of haegeum
    Marissa McWhiter said on 4/22/23
The second meaning of haegeum is the lifting of the ban of something forbidden.
Adding what I think the story is based on things I’ve heard from other reactors...commentaries and what he said in the d-day documentary.
First of all he did say in his intro of the video during the premiere that this video is the second of a trilogy. He said the three videos meant to be seen together is Daechwita, haegeum and amygdala ...which is coming up!
So I believe the king in Daechwita, the first form of august D, was killed by black haired scar face agust D. But then black hair becomes the boss in Haegeum. He seems to be a police detective or officer that is corrupt. He runs his operation from above the Asian noodle restaurant. New Agust d wants to kill him too! Maybe like in Daechwita it’s because of his corruption. So he invades the headquarters and gets his money. On his way out we see a guy making a phone call to the boss...but new agust d gives him a nod. So I think just like in Daechwita new agust d has a deal with this insider to help him kill the boss. So this new guy didn’t really want the money it was just a bait to get him close to the boss. So like in Daechwita, as he was about to be killed he switches the story and kills the Boss instead. Before the boss gets shot we see the boss smirk. I saw a comment that this could be because he knows that this New guy will also meet his fate! So in the end new guy was accepted by the boss’ men and he was delivered to their headquarters the restaurant where he takes over. The final Shot of him eating with the tool he used to kill a man suggests that the violence will sustain him. So now we will wait for amygdala to see how the story ends!
So the song itself was explained by Suga in the documentary. He explains that as idols there are a lot of things they seem to be restricted from doing, acts that are normal for some will become controversies for idols. Like if his smoking at the age of 31 will be seen as wrong then he wants this song to be the start of liberating or lifting some of the restrictions put on them. He also talked about the effect on too much information and how easy to get them also starts to restrict thinking. It’s a very deep song!
The funny thing is...this song has triggered a bit of hate from kpop on social media! Fans of other groups are thinking Yoongi was targeting them...or even saying he shouldn’t be against capitalism since he is from Hybe! Lol totally missing the point of the song...or maybe just proving Yoongi’s observations!
He’s a genius! The rest of the album is genius! I hope you do an album reaction!

what's amazing is that in the MV, hanja 解禁 was on the screen which = haegeum, in terms of "to lift a ban" not 奚琴 = haegeum the instrument. WHICH MAKES SO MUCH MORE SENSE because the lyrics talk a lot about judgement, prejudice, and being free from all that. something about it is so raw, and honestly, i feel like it's a big fu to those who try to "cancel" grown idols for doing something normal humans do, like him "smoking" in the MV or just dating, or any issues some fans can't accept. "This song is a haegeum" meaning this song is targeting kpop "fans" who always make a big deal out of things that are not even supposed to be controversial HE'S SO ICONIC FOR THIS.

Please note the split-second image of a hand holding almonds at 13:36. This is a reference to ALMOND: A NOVEL about a guy who has trouble identifying and describing experienced emotions because of a neuropsychologic condition (alexithymia). The "almond" refers to the amygdala, an almond-shaped area of the brain. Yoongi was seen reading this book in a preview to IN THE SOOP. The book is on Namjoon's recommended list.

I will echo some of the other comments that if you're going to do a trilogy you should take care to get them in the correct order so that the storyline makes more sense.

Yea some how I have the trilogy written down in order and still went out of order. Only a mistake that I would make because Im so dumb! Considering deleting and reuploading in the correct order.

@@_LVLUP_ No need to do that now. You are aware of the proper order and you have seen each of the three videos so you can put the storyline together in your head now. No worries, ish happens.

Thanks for your reaction. The Agust D trilogy is the Best.
I love Amygdala, is my favorite of the album. It made me cry because is tells part of Yoongi's traumas.
Much of Amygdala's MV refers to an accident Suga suffered shortly before debuting in 2012 while working as a delivery boy to pay for his studies while he was a Bighit trainee. At first, he told his group members that he had fallen from the stairs, but in reality a car hit him when he was riding his motorcycle and he says that after falling he saw that his head was almost under the wheels of the car. Suga did not want to reveal the truth to the agency because he thought they would reject him, after a while he had to say it because his shoulder had been dislocated as a result of the accident and did not heal well because of lack of treatment and rehabilitation. Eventually he told the company and they paid his treatment and his studies... after debuting, he had injections and therapies for years until he could not postpone his surgery because over time and being an idol with intense choreography, the injury worsened so he underwent surgery for the pandemic and was offstage for about 3-4 months while he recovered
In other songs he's released in the past as Agust D, on mixtapes for Soundcloud, he talks about his depression, social anxiety and panic attacks, his mom's heart surgery... but i think is the first time he mentions the cancer that his father had..., he found out while he was fulfilling his schedule with BTS (which has been very tight and demanding and he probably could not be with his father as long as he would have wanted due to being under contract and his corresponding obligations)... Both of his parents are alive by the way 👍🏻
When the wound is inflicted on the face on Amygdala, I think it seeks to reflect how it has hurt itself in the past (the mind of a depressed person, we already know that it hurts itself a lot and he mentioned in one of his songs that he have thought about s*u*i*c*i*d*e in the past) and I also think it represents the birth of his alter ego Agust D which would allow him to externalize his shadows in parallel to BTS
When he says: I don't know your name, I think he refers to himself... to that shadow in his unconscious mind... in his song "The Last" he mentioned that his father told him they didn't know him... and he commented that if he did not know himself, how would other people would get to know him? and he also mentioned that sometimes he was afraid of himself
Here on Haegeum, the one who is the chief of police is the one who killed the tyrant king in Daechwita, who has now become corrupted with power... For me it symbolizes Suga's shadow, which is in his unconscious mind due to his traumas and which he seeks kill whenever he feels he is taking off and gaining more power... a part of him reveals himself to the re-installation of the tyrant and kills him
Although I think that now at this moment he is more at peace with himself, it seems that during the pandemic that shadow returned for a while like many other people who found themselves in a dark place during that period but finally he was able to heal more of his wounds and that is why D-Day arrives
This song is inspired by a book that Yoogi read called "Almond", is about the story of a young man with a disease that prevents him from recognizing and expressing emotions, and which is associated with an undergrowth of the cerebral amygdala, usually the size of an almond. It's a story about growing up, discovering yourself, and accepting that help doesn't always come where we expect it.
In their discography, BTS has already touched on deep themes and psychological themes in their ballads, as well as in their rap and more pop songs. For example, in their album Map of the Soul, they were inspired by the theories of Carl Justav Jung, who was one of the most popular psychoanalysts of the 20th century and founder of depth psychology, which is mainly based on what exists between consciousness and the unconscious. Jung coined the "map of the soul" and different concepts to explain it, some of them are archetypes that, as if it were a universe that we carry inside, allow us to draw a map that shows how our psyche is configured (Persona, Self, Anima and Shadow)
The three rappers in the group each have a song about the map of the soul... You can check their MV's
    Suga: Interlude - Shadow
    RM: persona
    JHope: Ego
The anima is represented on "Boy with Love ft Halsey" ... we're the members are more connected with their feminine side
